Gorgeous location along the creek (river?). Very convenient to Delaware Water Gap. But, quite expensive for a campground. This is certainly a supply demand thing. Not a lot of (or any?) campgrounds with full hookups nearby.

Recent upgrades to the bathhouses are very nice. It is obvious that the owners are investing in this campground.

Cable TV has some problems with cables strung across the roads in some places and extra splitters in place. But it worked OK once plugged in.

Sites are OK and pretty level. Mostly grass and some (barely visible) gravel.

Nice activities along the creek with breakfast buffet on Saturday. Definitely a great fishing campground. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

My wife & I stayed one night while in transit. From major highways access is curvy hilly narrow paved roads. Management staff was helpful upon arrival. They moved us from a back-in to a drive through site without an upcharge. Acorns were falling so they bothered us during the night. Ask for a site not under a tree if you are here during the fall. CATV was good. Not sure about cell or WIFI, since we did not use them. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This park is situated directly on a river which looked good for fishing, and maybe suitable for canoeing, and kayaking.

Great place! Spotless restrooms, good water pressure, good TV signal with antennae, didn't need cable, being by the river was fantastic! Beautiful, just what camping should be like, and the facilities for children were all well maintained, beautifully kept grounds and great staff, would definitely stay there again. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this park 10 years ago, before it was a KOA, and it was in need of some repair and a little TLC. Fast forward 10 years and it is now a KOA in need of some repair and a little TLC. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for one night on our way to North Carolina. The directions given to campground takes you down a very hilly road with many sharp switchbacks which were difficult to navigate. The first site that they gave us was so out of level that we could not use it, we had to ask for a new site, which was not much better. Campground roads are rough, narrow, and dusty. Our site had good power and water pressure. Did not use the Internet as it was to weak. We will not stay here again. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was the first time we stayed at this campground. We were taken to our site by a member of the staff. Our site was huge and in the sun. The jumping pillow and inflatable slide were a big hit with the kids. There was black moldy spots on the inflatable slide which not been cleaned in a while. The bathrooms were huge and very clean. We walked around and found that the mini golf was closed since the owners had not kept up with it. The game room was near the min golf and was in need of being cleaned. The door to enter the game room had a broken pane and was not covered. There was garbage on the floor and a paint roller sitting on the sill. We then made our way to the paddle boats and found out they too were not working and the water area closed off. I was not happy to stay here and will not be returning. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

With a scenic river to float on, a jumping pillow for the kids, and new bathhouses, this park is a diamond in the rough, but as of now, very rough. Serious infrastructure issues: insufficient electric service and water supply caused entire campground to go hours with no water and only sporadic, limited electricity at a full hookup site. Pool was filthy throughout our stay. Lots of mosquitos: almost too annoying to sit outside even in midday. In 5 years of camping, we've never left a park a day early: until this one. This park is under new management according to the sign and it looks like they are doing a very good job. The staff is friendly. The office is clean and well stocked. The bath house we used is new and very clean. If you have a dog they require a rabies certificate. The Wi-Fi worked well as did the cable. We were just passing through but this would make a good place to stay for a few day. If you are traveling in a big rig there is an overpass coming from exit 53 in Pennsylvania that is just over 12'. I suggest you call for directions for the alternate route. We would stay here again. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Motorhome.

Wife said, "Great bathroom" as each was separate private room with toilet and shower. Pool looked nice. Weather wasn't the best so we didn't check all the facilities. Minor issue with electric as the first site had no power and the pedestal needed repair. They quickly moved us to another site. Entrance road off 209 will be a challenge for Class-A coming from or headed to North due to very sharp turn. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Motorhome.

Staff was friendly and sites had a great number of cable channels. The reason for the low rating is due to poor electric. Stayed for 1 week and my surge protector shut off the power 3 times because was below 100 volts. Talked to maintenance and said all sites were like this (we had a 30 amp site). Said to switch icebox and water heater to propane to conserve electricity. The best voltage I had during the week was 110 volts. When ran microwave it dropped to 102 volts. This is an average park really. We only stayed a night, but it was a loud night until 1 am: which was expected from the look of the park when entering at 7pm. Staff seemed friendly, but the only interaction we had was at check-in. Didn't see any security or maintenance crew. Stayed until check-out time the next day. The morning was nice and quiet. We stayed there for 6 days and will never go back. The showers were so filthy, 4" of mildew on the bottom of the shower curtain, and broken tiles on the floor. "Cleaning" the bathroom consisted of sweeping the floor once a week. The pool was in disrepair, and the mini golf was a joke. Even though they say quiet time is at 11:00, our neighbors had us up until 4:00 am and there was nobody there to enforce it. The "wooded" sites were on a field of grass. No wonder they don't have many pictures on the website. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Tent.

Our weekend getaway with our motor home was enjoyable. This campground has paved and dirt roads. We selected a site adjacent to the river with no hookups. There are tall mature trees throughout the campground. We utilized the pool and it was ok. We also utilized the driving range on site, which was nothing more than just an open field. We did enjoy putting our beach chairs in the river while reading our books. The river was clean and clear unlike many others that are muddy. Sites by the river can be out of level (take caution) and are a mix of grass and dirt. Happy Camping! C J We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed at AFC over Mother's Day weekend and were disappointed about a few things. Cons: -Store was not fully stocked. The worst thing was they had no ice, which we assumed we would be able to buy. They said it was because they are not usually this busy this early in the season, so I guess that's understandable, but if you are going to be open, things like ice should be available. -The water at my father in law's site was not turned on yet, so someone had to come out and turn it on. -My sister in law was supposed to stay in a cabin, but they got in late and by the time we found the cabin in the dark (no numbers posted to identify cabins)they found the electric was not turned on, so she and her kids slept in the motorhome with my in laws. When they complained to the man in the office the next morning, he refused to refund their money for the night. They never did stay in the cabin after that. -There were many seasonal trailers and motorhomes in very bad shape. That's a turn-off to me. -The pond and stream were in pretty bad shape. -The bathrooms near our site were not clean and full of spider webs and active bee hives. -They charge $5.00 per dog per night, so it ended up costing us $48.00 a night. Pros: -Our site was next to a grassy field, so the kids had plenty of room to play football and whiffle ball without bothering anyone. -The pool, which was not quite open yet,was heated and very warm. The man in the store changed his tune a bit and offered to let the kids swim even though the pool wasn't totally cleaned yet. -The store had plenty of firewood, thank goodness. We went through the bundle we brought from home, so we were happy to be able to have our campfire going. -The kids had fun catching (and releasing) frogs and tadpoles. -They are now offering free WiFi, which is great, but the signal was pretty low. They said they were having problems with it. But it worked well enough. Bottom line: I have been to many campgrounds before the official Memorial Day kick-off and they always have things in order when they open for business. I guess they count on their seasonals for income, so they don't worry so much about the weekend visitor at AFC. We might give it another try during the season, but the rates will be higher at that point, so I would expect the place to be in much better shape then. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. We camped at Deerpark/ New York City NW KOA in a Motorhome.
