This is a large but very well run KOA. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. Upon arrival she took us for a quick tour in her golf cart for a look at available sites. We had originally booked a pull-through patio site but, after our tour, we selected a very large back in that backed up to a view of Chautauqua Lake. Site was extremely neat and was thick green grass that the dogs loved to lay in. The front part of the park has many seasonal rigs but they are extremely neat and the residents very friendly and helpful. Trash is picked up at your site all throughout the day. Even though we camped 10 days during the summer, the park was not full. The bath and laundry facilities were top notch. Great playground and pool and several dog parks. Great cable but spotty wifi. This is a great location for touring the Chautauqua Lake region and the Erie Wine Trail. All in all, a great park that we would certainly return to. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Great home base for exploring the Chautauqua lake area and the Erie Wine Trail. Everything is close by and within easy access. Lots of great little towns around the lake. Beautiful wine country with vineyards everywhere. Great meals at Guppies nearby.

The tent sites are very nice, flat and clean. We had electric and water and it was perfect while we were in town visiting family. We loved our time here! The owners were more than accommodating! There is so much to do. The kids loved the KOA Passport, game time, ice cream social and the pool! I am already looking to book my stay for next year!!! Thank you again for giving our family so many great memories and can't wait to make many, many more with Chautauqua KOA!!! We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Tent.

This park is quite far from Lake Chautauqua; in fact, the lake is just barely visible from the highest point in the park. We camped in a deluxe site, with a paved patio, which was nice because it was a very rainy day. We were near a fairly large number of seasonal campers, but all of their sites were very neat and clean. There is also less expensive camping in the lower field. There was little shade. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

The newer section out in the open is where travelers are placed, seasonals are in the trees. Large sites, level gravel, wifi worked well, utilities all good. A great base from which to explore the Chautauqua Lake region. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

We were in the newer area which seems to be the area for daily campers, rather than seasonals. Most of the sites here are pull throughs. Our site was not long enough for our coach and car, but there were plenty of other sites that were longer. It was gravel and not quite level. We stayed for a week, so unhooking was not a problem. There is lots to do in the area, with state parks and Lake Erie nearby. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Very clean and spacious sites. Disappointed the pool was not opened even though the website says it would be open by Memorial Day (still under construction). A lot of activities for the kids to do. Nice views of the lake, but no lake access from the campsite. I thought the price was high, especially since all the amenities were not available at time of stay. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Listen... if you want a beautiful camping experience with friendly faces, along with great accommodations, this is the place for you and your family. The park is immaculate! The staff and the owners are always on call to accommodate you in any way they can, such as having wood or ice delivered to your site with one phone call, picking you up from your site and taking you back...they even lent us a cable for the "Walking Dead" season premiere last year LOL... In any case, it's surrounded by trees and open property to "hug" the park and keep any outside noises(4x4s or traffic) from interfering with your stay. We, my wife and 4 boys, stay here 3 times each season and are always"bummed" when it's time to leave :( To all the crabby pants out there...IT'S CALLED CAMPING! If it rains or the power goes out because of the crazy heat we get at times and you have to buy more ice.... Just buy it and enjoy life instead of complaining... if not, go find a Ramada or a Hilton because camping is not for you... I think everyone should spend a weekend up at Chautauqua KOA with there family away from the everyday, fast paced life. Slow down and enjoy the kids, the family, or your friends company... Sit around the fire, make some S'mores and make memories. If I sound like I'm being partial, I am!! I cant imagine not coming back here each season.... see you soon. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very well maintained KOA, with helpful and friendly staff at check in, we had an escort to our site, which was helpful as the campground is very large. Roads are gravel. Our spacious gravel site was a long and level pull through, and big rig access was good. Very quiet with some privacy and space for our towed. Our site had a concrete patio with lovely patio furniture, fire ring and pretty landscaping, there are some mature shade trees but not every site has them. Views from our patio were fabulous, we could see the valley and Lake Chautauqua and the sunsets were wonderful! This campground has 2 sections of seasonal units, all were kept neat and clean, we were located in the new section, all with pull through and patio sites, well worth the small extra charge for the views alone, however the sewer was way to the back of our RV and did require an extra long hose. The bathrooms were spacious and spotless and the laundries clean and well equipped. This is a gated community and so there is a security gate 24/7 which was very reassuring. Pets have the choice of two K9 Parks, each with doggie bags and disposal stations. WiFi and cell were both good, and there was a daily garbage pickup each morning from your site, which was very convenient. Small local food stores and restaurants are close by in the small towns around the lake, and of course plenty of sightseeing. We would stay here again, the owners and manager have done a great job of making this a first class campground. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Fair in/out up on top of a scenic hill with a small view of a bit of the lake. Lovely rolling countryside and reasonable access to the two major interstates in the area. A very clean and well maintained KOA with lots of services for the large population of resident campers. Not much for stores or restaurants anywhere near the site, so bring your own stuff. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

A beautiful, northwoods atmosphere and an immaculate camp. Very limited stores in the mostly resort neighborhood. Long distances to any towns for shopping needs. Many permanent residents during the summer season, but our overnight visit found it largely closed for the fall so it was very quiet.

An outstanding park. There are two sections of seasonal units and a new section with all pull through and patio sites. The sites are well spaced and the facilities are first rate. The owners are engaging and keep a tight leash on those who fail to uphold the family campground rules. This park is on par with KOA company owned parks. The way a KOA is supposed to be. Great staff who were courteous and professional. We booked online and didn't book a big enough site but they cheerfully upgraded us. They have a lot of rules but not a problem for considerate campers. Our site was gravel and very level especially considering it was on the side of a hill. We had a beautiful view of the Chautauqua valley. Most of the people were seasonal but the camp was very well maintained. Lots of activities. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We were greeted warmly and given a lovely tent site. Grounds are beautiful. Mostly seasonal sites. Small fenced K-9 area for your dog. Each site had its own light. Nice view of the lake and great star viewing in the large open field. There are some quirks of note though. We went early in the season, just after a holiday, so although there were not a lot of campers, this did create an issue in trying to use the pool. I faithfully read the rules before arriving but the pool rules were very strict and even the staff were confused. Needed 2 adults for my 2 16 year old girls to be in the pool. Since my husband stayed behind at our site with our dogs, staff had to sit with us at the pool . I was not allowed to even sit in the pool area on a chair to relax by myself. So be warned if it is during a quiet time and you don't have a 2nd adult for the pool you may be out of luck. I complained slightly and a staff member was quickly found. Other quirk of note is that the beautiful restrooms , which face the road, the deck and some campsites, have their doors wide open 100% of the time. I don't know if this violates any New York State laws but my 2 girls were not comfortable in the shower knowing that the door was open. Or brushing their teeth or doing their hair in plain view of men walking by to the men's room! They closed the door before they showered, but when the got out the door was open again and they thought this was a bit creepy. You would think the owners would want the restroom doors closed just for the very fact that it would keep the bugs out, let alone to avoid peeping toms! There were no signs stating that the restroom doors had to stay open but my girls were too scared to try and close them again. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Tent.

Tips for other Campers:

Sit on the Adirondack chairs that overlook the lake and field for some great star viewing! Only the middle showers in the men and ladie's rooms have sufficient water flow. Tent sites are wide and shady but you can see the person next to you...very little in between vegetation.

We stayed in a full hook up back in site that is very large and had a great view of the lake. Fantastic sunset! We stayed during the week and after "the season," so very few people in the park. Plenty of space on grass behind our trailer for all of us to enjoy the view without being overly close to other guests. We opted for the view with no trees, but shaded sites were available. Sites are gravel for rigs and fairly level, and surrounded by grass. Staff escorts to site and helps with back in. This is a very large KOA with perhaps half the sites occupied by seasonal units. Grounds were very well kept and clean. WiFi good. Price includes $16 for two additional adults--basic rate covers only 2 adults. Also reflects KOA membership discount. We would definitely stay again, but not during the busy season. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Travel Trailer.
