We chose this campground because I used to live about three miles away as a child. Also, this was the only pet friendly facility. As a retired couple, we did not use the pool or playground. The sites were very large and clean, but the lack of pavement made for dusty conditions. The distance to the laundry, dumpsters and store was too far for my wife to walk. Luckily we had use of a car. More lighting is needed at the entrance for nighttime. We most likely will not use this campground in the future. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A highlight of our visit was a mini golf & ice cream parlor across the road (not owned by Moose Hillock). The CG discourages campers from going there (a DOT regulation is mentioned in the check-in pamphlets). The CG store has limited groceries and is more of a gift shop. Overall, this facility may be good for families with small children and their own golf cart. But for us it was overpriced. Might be OK if they accepted discounts for Passport America.

Large sites, clean place, kids loved pool, and the arcade. As for adults, there are outlets only 10 minutes away, Lake George about half hr. The Great Escape is about 20 minutes...so place is very convenient..need vehicle to get around as everything is located in front..pool, game room, store, laundry, etc: best cable out of all the campgrounds we have been to. When making reservations you can request a golf cart but $$. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This park has very big campsites and very wooded but that is about all it has to offer. The whole park is filled with large gravel, so its hard to walk on. It is NOT dog friendly at all and very difficult for dogs to walk. Everything is located in one spot at the entrance and very far to walk to. The pool is very nice. No hiking on site or in walking distance. You must have a car. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Because we didn't plan ahead for Labor Day weekend, this is all we could find--the most expensive campground we've ever stayed in but we had no choice. Fortunately, we were ONLY ½ mi from office--most site are much farther. The sites are huge, wooded, and very private but are graveled as are the roads. They're actually big rocks and difficult to cycle or walk on. We have Verizon and have never not been able to get service ANYWHERE but couldn't from our site so had to walk to office area to use phone. Wifi is sketchy, at best, and again--had to walk to office and sit outside in the sun to access. On pool side, the music is so loud that it was uncomfortable to sit there. The pool is huge but only 3.5' deep and doesn't open till 9 when all the kids come out so I was unable to do any lap swimming. They have a huge fleet of golf carts for getting around the area--for which they charge--and because of the size of the place, you're kinda left with no choice. The dumpsters are also near the office and that's the ONLY place to get rid of your trash. Pity the folks farther away than we were. Staff was excellent in the office and also the clean up crew but we'll never stay here again because of the cost and inconvenience. Certainly don't get what you pay for. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 6 days. The site is very big. This is a family type campground. Children under 12 will find it great. Adults and teens will find it average. We camped with 2 teens. If you are a family with young kids and can afford this campground you will enjoy it. There are other campgrounds more reasonable for adults and teens. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

So much to do in Lake George. Recommend taking the cruise on Lake George. The Log Jam restaurant is also a great place to eat, lobster roll was amazing.

We stayed here for Labor weekend 2015. This campground has great potential. The positives are the great big themed pool with snack bar and the sites are spacious and spread out nicely. However the roads are not paved so the dust can be quite unbearable at times especially on very dry days. I have been camping for many years and have never experienced such a dusty campground. This is a new campground so hopefully they will at least pave the main roads soon. The other annoying thing is they sometimes play religious music at the pool, which is fine if that is your thing. The arcade was nice too. A fishing pond would be nice, especially for the price you pay. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this Campground with our grandaughters for a few days. The best part was the pool. Other than that not much. They enjoyed the pool and water slide but other than that we were not impressed. The sites are all crushed stone, no grass area at all. The dust from the roads cover everything and the 5 MPH speed limit on them is not enforced. The area we were in was heavily traveled to and from the pool and office area. Quiet hour is not enforced either, the campers next to us partied until 1:00 in the morning. Did not see any type of staff or security patrol. For the price per night, it's for more than what you get. We will not return to this Campground. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has a very large heated pool with waterslides, nice playground, basketball court, etc. It's all located in one area with all the sites across the road in another section of the park. The sites all seem quite large and level. They have no natural body of water. About a 15 minute ride to Lake George village. A nice clean park that's good for kids. Suprisingly, they do not recycle. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Our site was very large and level. Our site was covered with large gravel rocks many with jagged edges. We found numerous pieces of garbage left from other campers that were never cleaned up. The roads were crusher run and extremely dusty. One hour into our stay and everything was covered in dust. The staff pushes the five mile an hour speed limit as they constantly break it themselves. There are no activities during the day other than the pool which is very nice. The camp store was more of a gift shop forcing us to drive to a grocery store for anything we ran out of. The security staff checks your tags entering all day no matter how many times you go in and out, but only till 8:30pm then no one mans the booth until 9:30 the next morning. There is no security at night any where. Our TV was very fuzzy and we were on a full hook up site. Staff told us that's just how the cable here is. The water pressure was very inconsistent as well. Our fire pit was three large rocks standing on end as a family that likes to cook over the open fire it was impossible with this setup. We felt we paid top dollar for a pool and we will not be returning. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park is only 1 year old but there is still much room for improvement. On the plus side, most of the sites were very large and spacious and stone was used for the base but many sites had a very steep drop off at the ends of the site, sometimes 40+ feet down that could pose a danger to small children and intoxicated campers, alike. The other choice for sites are bowl like sites which are supposed to afford campers privacy but when you have another site above you on the next road, your privacy is gone. We picked our site over a year ago to avoid steep drop offs and a bowl like feeling but sites like that are few and far between. 3 large rocks make up the fire pit and ours came complete with a daily visit from a snake who loved being in our firewood. The roads are mostly dirt with a little stone thrown in so everything gets a coat of dust. My roof vents which were on exhaust most of the time, were covered with dirt on the inside screen from all the vehicle and golf cart traffic from the road and the golf cart situation is horrible! Golf carts are rented there and many were operated by minors who along with the adults , do NOT observe the 5 mph speed limit. The pool was supposed to be heated but was not, and really is only good for children which made up the bulk of the occupants and was only 3 1/2 ft. deep. Wi-Fi at the sites is not available and was only available down near the pool and was very slow when there was more than 4 people using it. I had to ask staff to re-set the router so it was useable. All in all, we will NOT be back as we felt there were better options for campgrounds in this area. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderful brand new park. Sites are so big and well landscaped that neighbors are hardly noticed. The giant pool is zero entry so it's very kid friendly. It also has two water slides. Facilities are immaculate and there are plenty of staff keeping up with cleaning. Store is well stocked and reasonably priced. Minutes away from Lake George but far enough away to relax. We will go back for sure. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
