21 Parks near Hammondsport, New York
Aug 2016 - $30.00
This campground is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The owners are wonderful people. I give this park an excellent rating on them alone.
The park has several level pull through sites on gravel. The electric and water utilities are in excellent working condition and properly located. They don't have sewer at site. Owner will pump out full tanks. Each site has grass lawn with fire ring and picnic table. The are several back in sites available also.
There are two large ponds with free peddle boats for campers use. The park also has free WiFi that works quite well.
The owners are constantly working on improvements and maintenance.
They have installed a dump station which was usable on our visit but is still under construction.
The campground is located near several New York State wineries, beautiful Keuka Lake and the picturesque village of Hammondsport. We will go back next summer. - petendoll

A gem in the woods. Entrance road and sites graveled. Sites have W/E only, no dump station (maybe next year). Owner will dump you anytime you want at no charge. Quiet...No TV, No cell, No WIFI. Owners were busy everyday keeping up with the grounds. I'd stay here again, in a New York minute. - maineman
Aug 2012 - $25.00
We camped here in our RV for 5 days. It is an exceptionally clean park. The owners are very helpful and friendly. They have two private ponds for fishing with paddle boats available. It is close to many nice wineries and just outside of Hammondsport. This is a new campground and the owners are steadily adding improvements to what is already a very beautiful, quiet setting. - A Florida Villager

Satisfaction with this campground will depend on what you're looking for. Way off the beaten path, beautiful, very quiet and peaceful, but a long way to get to anything. It consists of grass hillsides with 95% seasonals. The area for short-terms is a sloped and bumpy grass field with no marked spaces, difficult to get level especially on wet grass when blocks keep sliding. We had full hook-ups, all worked well. Verizon phone barely worked (one bar, calls dropped), hotspot didn't work until a mile out of the campground. No over-air tv at all. Good wifi at office but it was too far to walk carrying a heavy laptop. Took a 4-minute drive at 5 mph over rough road to get there. Very nice owner. Laundry is just one household washer/dryer set. Had to drive 15 miles to laundromat in Bath. Would be nice for a weekend getaway if you didn't want tv or need wifi at the site, but for us this place did not work. We will not stay there again. - all4pets
Jul 2014 - $30.00
Nice remote family friendly park. It may have 50-amp sites with sewer, but as weekenders we were not offered one. We had 30-amp and no sewer. However, power was good and weather was nice so no problem. Owner very friendly. Our site was grassy, not perfectly level but we got close enough. Lot of seasonals here but folks are very friendly. Nice lake which dogs was allowed to swim in so she was happy. Good Wi-Fi. We would stay here again if in the area. - Grumpier99
Aug 2016 - $45.00
What a great place for parents, grandparents and kids. Safe. Clean. No rowdies. Very well kept. - Johnboronkay
Aug 2016 - $42.00
This park is one of the very best I have ever been to! The sites were level, the staff top notch, the amenities among the best available. If ever I am in this area of the Finger Lakes area of New York I will go out of my way to stay here. And oh, by the way, my two fur babies and their sister really enjoyed the dog park! - Hmuse
Jul 2016 - $55.00
We stopped here for one night. They have nice, very long pull-thrus with full hookups. That was perfect as we didn't have to unhook from our travel trailer. They have different types of very long pull-thrus. They gave us one of the regular ones. I wish they offered us one of the big rig sites as those are a little larger and seemed altogether better sites. I think $55 was way too much for what we got. Maybe for families that will use the pools and participate in the activities, it would be worth it, but I doubt it. - Nathalie Bergeron
Sep 2016 - $24.00
We like this park for its proximity to wineries and the beach area in the park. What makes it extra special is the layout of the sites. Each site is surrounded by a hedgerow that provides separation from adjacent sites for a private experience. - HabaneroMike
Sep 2015 - $29.00
Park has fifty sites with electricity (30 amp only) in three loops. We stayed here in a Roadrek Versatile 190 and the set up met our needs perfectly. Staffer came by at 5pm each afternoon with firewood bundles for sale. A beautiful park - swimming beach, well equipped playground, picnic tables spaced well apart from each other. We stayed mid-week in late September and the park was lightly occupied. A great experience. - TennTrek
Aug 2015 - $21.00
Excellent, need a few more electric sites. Big sites, grassy, close to restrooms, playground. Easy to park, nice picnic tables at every site, fire ring. - maxwell3816
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Mostly permanent residents with lots of outdoor party setups. The initial transient parking we were put in was open field in far end of park and the 30 amp power was weak and pulsating. Got moved to another slot near the office and power was good. It was too short for rv and tow vehicle. The owner/maintenance guy was very helpful. Very well stocked rv supplies probably due to number of older permanent units. Would stay here again only if no other park available. 24 hour WI-FI at office only. Good cable tv and water. - durham4926

We stayed at this park for a long weekend. Very kid friendly park with barrel train, bounce houses and crafts. The facility is very well maintained and staff is friendly and accommodating. One staff member even offered to pick up pizza for us in town. We had a nice large level lot but were unable to have 50 amp or sewer connection but offered on site pump out service for free. We also added cable option for $5 for entire stay which was reasonable. Excellent food in cafe and laundry also available. Nice hidden gem convenient to I-86. - Wiliard
Jul 2016 - $19.00
I am over ten yr user here, seldom moved to comment. But as others noted, stated ppa rate $17.50 by phone, quoted $19.00 on arrival, hard try to up charge to $21. Refused any but phone quote for w/30 E. So placed on unlevel, precarious, edge of a deep dry gulch with the deep water wellhead ON my postage stamp site. Low voltage, barely allowed by my EMS. Huge tree prevented full use of slide out. Only reasonable campground for many miles or I would have declined and would NOT return nor recommend. No OTA TV and to purchase cable requires fhu and the inflated rate it incurs. - Wicked Witch
Jun 2016 - $19.00
We weren't informed that our space was water & electric only, and once we got setup tried to get TV no stations. Later we were out and found someone to talk to, they informed us that for $3 more we could get cable. That was not communicated to us. We weren't given a map of the grounds or informed where the showers or restrooms were. The showers, no hooks for your things in the shower, and the water temp is not adjustable. Not impressed, even though the grounds are well kept. - sambasstuff
Jul 2016 - $35.00
We stayed overnight on a busy holiday weekend. There were lots of activities planned. There was food available for supper and breakfast. There is a big pond for fishing and a nice pool for swimming. Campers were quite close together on very tight roads. - suerover
Oct 2016 - $23.00
Very comfortable once inside to your spot. There's a horseshoe club that meets there and the guys are really nice. The first row, which is all their seasonal folks and in the front of the park, kind of looks a little like skid row. Get past there and the place is fine. Conveniently located. - FloridaWanderers

After reading some of the reviews on this site I feel compelled to add my two cents.
My wife and I are full-timers, and we are still doing a substantial amount of moving about, so we see a pretty good number of campgrounds. What impresses me is not the physical attributes of a camp, or how near is the closest pub, or if the satellite dish will work. One of the things that does impress me is the thoughtfulness of the host: Camp Bell has that in spades!
They anticipated my needs and were prepared, they anticipated my wants and adjusted. They are all about customer service.
The camp was immaculate, and the seasonal trailers were very well-maintained, which can't be easy.
The store was nice, and was stocked with necessities as well as locally produced souvenirs. Prices for goods and services were very reasonable, and I have certainly paid much more this summer for the same service.
Having the owner come around to the camp to see if there was anything he or his wife could do, twice a day, told me that they are serious about providing a quality experience. Finest kind of people.
While we chose this camp randomly, you can be certain we will return if we find ourselves in the Finger Lakes Region again. - J M Rowe
Sep 2016 - $23.00
The permanent people have the shade. The transients are in a big field with no shade. They do offer a package for the Corning Museum and the Rockwell museum. Corning is great, but we did not think that the Rockwell museum was worth going to. Spend your time at Corning. The bathrooms ate clean but outdated. The people at reception could have been a bit nicer. - har-fl
Aug 2015 - $35.00
We stayed here in a 38 ft. fifth wheel for about 6 nights. The campground is well tucked away making it a little hard to find, but that is also a huge bonue is you want quiet solitude. The setting is wonderful, with a large stocked fishing pond and lots of grass. Our site was one of about 15 dedicated to mostly short term stays, many of the other spaces are seasonal people. We found that the park is nicely situated for one wanting to visit the finger lakes area and the owner gave us all kinds of tips on local spots to visit. Looking forward to a return visit. - kltfaught
Aug 2014 - $30.00
Nice quiet park on a hillside. Steep entry, difficult for some. Mixture of sites, some large, some small. All fairly well kept. That is the positive. The very large negative was the lack of water. No mention of the problems when making reservations, but shown a water schedule after making the payment. The owner said we could fill our own tank, but it probably wouldn't be necessary. However, the schedule was far from accurate. We only had water for about two hours during a two night stay. Also, the boil water warning form the county health department was only posted in the bath house. One of our neighbors was drinking it before finding out. On the second day a camp host asked us to sign off regarding the boil water notice. This was our second try at this campground. The first included very loud and drunken behavior by seasonal workers. We will not stay here again. - Stephen20
Jul 2011 - $30.00
We had a very nice, wooded, secluded, large and level site. Too many trees for our satellite dish but their cable was good. No Wi-Fi. Their were a few negatives. The road in and out is a very steep gravel road. We picked up an infestation of sap beetles. These are small winged insects that appeared on our screen door as soon as we arrived. Enough of them got in as we went in and out, so we were vacuuming them up for days. We will not stay again because of the steep road and the beetles. - RVLive
Jul 2011 - $30.00
Beautiful sites in woods which provide lots of shade. Most sites large with plenty of room. Park is very well maintained. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom stalls are small and a bit cramped, shower was large. Wi-Fi is very limited. Cable TV excellent. Due to trees, very limited satellite TV reception. We'll stay here again. - JavanMichael
