As with many campgrounds in this part of the country, it is mostly filled with seasonal RVs and park model homes. There is a separate section for overnighters. This is a rural mostly woody area. Most transient sites are back-ins on the back of a large sunny mowed grassy area with ample room for maneuvering. It appears from the posts that this area was once setup for shared hookups in close quarters, but they have eliminated every other site allowing more for more room. They cable tv hookup worked well and had both digital and analog stations. There were a lot of Wi-Fi access points, but getting and staying connected was problematic. AT&T and Verizon cell service almost works in the campground and cell data is a no-go. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

This park is about 6 miles south of Jamestown. Power and water were good. At least 80 percent of the sites are occupied by seasonals. Trash pick up at site twice a day. Escort to site which was good because it was a bit difficult to locate. Grass site that needed leveling and mowing. Picnic table and fire pit. Swimming pool for a fee. I would stay here again if I could not locate another convenient park. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a week and then extended a day due to weather. Owners are on site and lovely people. It is a campground with grass sites, and gravel roads. Sites are big with table, fire ring, electric and grey water hookups. No black tank hookups but they will pump you out whenever you want and there are several dump stations. We paid for full service and pumpout and a morning paper was also delivered to our door in morning. Large pool, tennis court, basketball, jump pad and playground for kids. Lots of seasonals who are very friendly. Very quiet at night. We would love to come back. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Like so many of the parks in this part of the country, mostly seasonal sites but most are very well maintained. This is a large park with lots of trees, a pool and horseshoe pits. The driveways are gravel and our site was out in a large open grassy area. We had full hookups with 50 amp electric, water and a "grey water only" drain. They offer free WiFi that was generally good. We could not get an AT&T 4G signal here. There are very nice restrooms, showers and laundry. The park is located about 5 miles south of the town of Jamestown, NY. With Passport America for 2 nights and Good Sam discount for 2 nights, we paid an average of about $26.25. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Motorhome.

Nice place, good price - Passport America rate $17.50 includes water, electric, and cable TV. When I checked I was told that there is a hole in the ground next to the power post where I could drain my grey water but not to drain black water in there. My tanks were empty anyway so I had no need to dump. Took a nice walk after setting up, very quiet area. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects a combination of Passport America discount for 2 days and Good Sam discount for 2 days. Cross between "old-timey" and resort. Lots of amenities and very friendly folks. Roads a bit rough and bridge into park scary, but perfectly OK. Most transient sites on grass with fair amount of space and we had FHU with cable. Our cell phone (Consumer Cellular/off ATT towers) was NOT effective. WiFi was slow at times but available. Quiet hours WERE quiet, which was a treat. I had a problem with furnace and they called a gentleman who came after work, figured out the issue, went home and had a part, came back (about 25 minutes one way), and fixed furnace for $40 labor. Pool was nice (cool) but refreshing. Did not see any recycling efforts, though office said their trash hauler had discontinued doing recycles (boo-hiss). This campground is reasonably priced and close to a number of areas: Chautauqua Institute, Lilydale, Audubon Nature Center, Lucille Ball Museum, Panama Rocks. We would camp here again if we came through. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Motorhome.

There is very little bad that can be said about Hidden Valley. It is secluded, and quiet, but, within 10 miles of Warren, Pa. to the south, and about 5 miles from Jamestown on the north. There is a grocery store (Tops market) about 5 miles from the campground in Jamestown. To the south is a Walmart and Gas in N. Warren. The gas there is about 5 cents cheaper than in Jamestown. Be aware, that some of the roads in the area are among the worse in the US. The excuse we hear all the time is that the winters are very severe, and tear up the roads. The campground is clean. The bathrooms are well maintained and clean. The people are very friendly and helpful. The camp store sells propane at a reasonable price, along with other things you are likely to need. There are several pull through sites, and many back ins and some tent sites. Each site has a fire-ring and picnic table. Most sites have gray water hookups, and they come around once a week to drain the black water tank. However, when it rains a lot, it can become very muddy. None of the roads are paved. There is WIFI and Cable TV. The WIFI is OK when there isn't many people on it. However, it slows to less than a crawl when it is heavily loaded. The cable is good, with many favorite channels, including Turner Classic Movies. The park seems to stay right on top of things where it comes to maintenance.

In our opinion, it is a great place to stay. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Our grass pull-thru site was more than long enough for our 40 ft RV and toad. Very friendly and helpful staff. Campground was clean and well-maintained. Our site was somewhat unlevel, mostly front-to-back. Septic hookup was for gray water only. Good selection of cable channels. No trees to block our satellite TV. Fair Verizon signal. This campground is mostly seasonals with about dozen or so sites for over-nighters. Do not use exit 12 on I-86 because it has an 11 foot bridge. From west use exit 11 or from east use exit 14. I love that a campground escorts you to your site after a long day of driving. We only stayed one night en route to our weekend site but wish we would have stayed longer. Very clean and friendly people. Suggested two pizza places that delivered to our site, which we took advantage of. Also topped off our propane for the remainder of our trip. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very nice and clean. Definitely on our return list should we get back to the area. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects my Good Sam discount. The overall park was nice and very clean. The entrance and inside roads were a bit rough as there were some very deep potholes. Don't let the one lane bridge scare you when you pull in, it will hold your weight. Our pull-through was grass and level. The park has a honey wagon that will pump you out in the morning as long as you call the night before. You are allowed to dump the grey water in a special in ground system at your site. With permission, you can wash your coach but not on the weekend. The staff was very nice and helpful. Do not use exit 12 / Main Street unless you are shorter than 10 feet! What a gorgeous park! Lovely friendly people and very accommodating. Could easily spend a week here if we had the time. The pool looks very welcoming. The propane station was easily accessible right in front of the office. I have a heavy rig and have had trouble in wet areas in the past. Was a little worried about the site being grassy but was assured that there was plenty of gravel under the grass. Got set up and all seems very stable and there has been plenty of rain the past couple of days. The grass actually makes for a very homey feel to the site. My family and I enjoy our time each year at Hidden Valley Camping Area. We are treated like family every time we enter the grounds. The activities available are appropriate for kids of all ages (2-90). Everyone has a great time! Over the winter they upgrade the restrooms in the pavilion and they are amazing! The daily trash pickup is a great new feature, keeps our site clean and animal free. It is so nice to see them taking pride in their campground. I had power problems here. Could not use the 50 amp service. I suspected I might have problems with the power but let the EMS do its job. My EMS shut it down and a check of the voltage at the pedestal confirmed one leg was low 106 to 108 vac. Park maintenance came to check it out, but as it was a weekend could not do anything about it. I had to jury rig to the 30 amp plug as that leg had correct voltage but had to alternate using my front and rear air cond on the 30 amp. Stayed an additional night due to the extreme heat and not wanting to travel on the hot day. Thought mgmt might offer a discount due to the low voltage but no dice. They did offer to move me but a check of that site also showed a marginal voltage. There is a small ramped bridge to cross when entering the park and it has wood planking in poor condition with some nail heads sticking up. It was quiet at night, but plenty of yapping dogs during the day. Showers and restrooms in poor to fair condition and very dated. Very good Wi-Fi, Verizon cell service was spotty but useable. Supposedly new owners, but I did not see any updates or improvements. I will not be staying there again. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Motorhome.

We liked this "no frills" park. Quiet. Nice grassy field for short timers, but no sewer connection. Pull throughs and back ins available. Excellent cable TV, weak WiFi. Pleasant staff. Our Verizon phone and broadband connection was weak and intermittent. Close to Jamestown. New owners last month, that may cause some changes. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Hidden Valley is a no frills kind of place, but most adequate for overnight parking. Lots of well maintained yearly park models and lots of green grass for the other campers. Had everything we needed except sewer. Management was friendly and accommodating. We were just passing through, but would stay here again. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Area in a Fifth Wheel.
