This is a very difficult campground to rate. I have a 45' Class A towing a large SUV. Big rigs MUST access the campground entrance from the North on Rt 9 (use I-87, Exit 23) or you absolutely will not make the turn. While I liked being in the wooded, forest setting it was very difficult to access my site. You must disconnect before attempting to traverse the very steep hills and tight turn to get to the "big rig" sites at the back of the campground. You almost have to be a mountain goat to access these sites which are staggered up a hillside. It is doable but not for the timid or inexperienced driver. Two rigs cannot pass each other on the small roads. Sites are sand and mine was not level front to back. When leaving had to back out of site as there was a large dip to cross to get onto road which would have cause the front of motorhome to scrape the ground. It rained a lot and sand was everywhere tracked inside the motorhome, on cords and hoses, splashed up the sides of my coach and car. It is extremely dark at night and the roads/turns are not well marked (you are in the middle of a forest). Make sure you memorize some landmarks to your site. Office staff was pleasant. Kids had fun in the clean pool and small playground area. Small arcade games room (bring change) a couple which didn't work. Did not use bathrooms. Steady power, low water pressure, internet not available at my site but there is a hot spot at the office, adequate but fuzzy cable, two bars on Verizon, no service on Sprint. Expensive for what you get but location and proximity to Lake George is everything. This is a wonderful campground for smaller travel trailers, pop ups and tents with lots of buffer between sites. Campground is better suited for smaller units, not big rigs. But the very steep hills, tight turn and unlevel, messy sandy sites is just not the place I want to be jockeying my motorhome around so I don't think I would return. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

Great location to visit Lake George Village, Ticonderoga, and the surrounding areas. Very wooded campground with small roads and tight turns; semi-big rig friendly. One issue is that some of the pads are packed sand which becomes messy when it rains; would be better if sites were asphalt or gravel. Stayed in a pull-through with FHU but experienced very low water pressure. We did not use the amenities but noted many happy families coming from the pool and service areas. We had good WIFI and two bars on AT&T network. Would stay again. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

The only reason I'm not giving a 10 for the park is because the pads were packed sand, instead of gravel or asphalt. We caught a little rain and the sand attached to everything. Brought it into the coach, water hose connection, sewer hose, electric cable, what a mess. The park would rate a 10 in my books if the pads were gravel. And there was no wifi at my site, which was #125. Other than that the park is great. The owner and his son did trim some tree branches for me so that I could get to my site and they were very helpful to see that I had some wood pads for the jacks for leveling. Pads are established 12 yrs as per the owner and I only sunk down about an inch....no biggie. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a week in one of the cabins, but the site had water and power hook-ups and was large enough that we were able to park our van, 2 motorcycles, and the trailer for them. Could have easily had a small RV in there with us or a tent. The campground has a pool and a game room, I will probably be back from time to time because the local area and this campground will make it a new go to vacation spot. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Cabin.

Overall Rating:

Large rig friendly, we had a nice pull-through site with full hookups. Cable, 30 and 50 amp, sewer, water. No WiFi, and Verizon signal was poor. Fire pit was very nice on a cement pad. Site was not that level since we were on a hill. The main issue we had was the site was loose sand. It would be much better with crushed stone or gravel. My truck sank in as did the leveling pads. The pool area was very nice as was the camp store. Very few organized activities for the kids. Great location, though, which is why we chose this location. 5 minutes to Lake George and one hour to Ft. Ticonderoga. If you need a nice campground to stay at while visiting Lake George, this is a good option. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Travel Trailer.

Nice 'in the woods' kind of campground. AT&T is the only service that works here and the WIFI does not reach the campsites. Would stay again if I can get the Net connectivity worked out. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful, quiet park tucked away in the woods. Close to the highway, but noise isn't noticeable in the RV. Would have rated it a 9, but leveling required 20 minutes, 4 layers of pads and a shallow trench on the opposite side. When leaving we had to back out of our pull-through site because the road in front had a 3-foot pitch and I worried about scraping bottom. Roomy sites with lots of foliage, nice pool, store, cable and trail. Showed a kid's movie every night. Verizon signal was good but with intermittent bandwidth issues, AT&T weak. Dirt roads kicked up some dust. Lovely and convenient location; we would definitely come back. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for a weekend when visiting Saratoga. Nice friendly campground with level sites. They have good WI-FI and Cable and a nice swimming pool. They show nightly movies, The only negative about this campground is it is a little overpriced at $53 a night. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

Nice very wooded campground. It's a steep drive up from the main road. The campground is on a mountain, but they did a nice job leveling the sites and making areas level throughout. It's still a hike down to the main office/pool area, but nice the business is kept there and the campsites are peaceful. It can be challenge with anything longer than 32' but you could get about any rig made into it if you wanted to. Close to Lake George and the park does have 24hr security which is very nice. The bathrooms where clean, but the showers, while clean we're perplexing. There's a timer up high opposite the shower that controls how long the showers on and you have to turn it on to get water. (No instructions on this process). Then the only water you get is slightly less than scalding. Try as you may to adjust, there is nothing cooler. No WiFi at the sites, have to go to the office, which while annoying is certainly no reason not to camp here. Rate was reasonable given the weekend and the season. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Travel Trailer.

This is a large campground located just north of downtown. The sites are large with plenty of room between them. The staff is friendly and offered a lot of help on site seeing and restaurants. There was not any Wi-Fi at our site, but we had limited cell service. We would stay here again. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

The individual site was level, but this campground is on the side of a hill, so going to and from the camp site is a vertical climb or drive. Our motorhome was able to handle the incline, but I suspect it will be difficult for some. There is no shuttle into town, but there is a taxi service for $10 each way. The taxi's will take dogs. You can also walk the 2.2 miles to the center of town. If they had a shuttle, I'd have given them a much higher rating. The sites are very heavily wooded. In fact there are paths through the woods between sites and to the buildings. They have an excellent pool and quite a few facilities for children. The entire facility is very large and many of the camp sites are remote -- that is far from other sites. We enjoyed the remoteness and isolation, but they were fairly empty so I don't know what it might look like if they were busier. The office/store staff was excellent and the store was above average, but pricy as is usual for a camp store. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A previous reviewer stated that this similar to a forest service campground except it has full hookups. I agree. We stayed in Tall Pines Circle and the pines were tall and beautiful old trees were all around. We had a roomy backin site that overlooked the forest. The pull through sites were not as spacious but adequate for 2 slides. Our Verizon cell phone had full coverage, too. This is a quiet park nestled next to I-87 which we couldn't see but could hear. The pool area was new, nicely landscaped and had a great view overlooking a small mountain. They had a game room and movies were offered nightly. If you are looking for a quiet campground near Lake George, this is a great choice. However, if you need resort activities, you should look elsewhere. I downgraded the park from an 8 since our electric cutout 2 times and we were unable to maintain adequate power to run our air conditioner. The staff is incredibly friendly and responsive and did try to boost our power to no avail. We will go back, but not during a heat wave! We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

Great campground! The pool was lovely, our site was shady, level and had plenty of room for our motorhome and our car. The staff was very friendly and the park was quiet in the evenings also. It's not too far from all of the activities in Lake George either. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park, but the size of the sites and lack of privacy between them is what gets them a 7. We were on site 125 with a 34 ft TT. It was plenty long enough but really narrow. When our neighbors put their slide out, it came within 2 ft of our firepit, which couldn't be moved. There were no trees or shrubs between the sites. Some sites had more privacy, but many were just right up against each other in the loop we were in. Also, a very dusty campground. Fine, sandy gravel at the sites and gravel roads. There was a really nice pool area, very nicely landscaped with plenty of tables and chairs. Also a nice game room and playground area. It's a ten minute drive into Lake George village and the location is another great thing about this campground. I'd stay here again if I could pick out my site ahead of time. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Travel Trailer.
