Most are very spacious sites, our A18 was one of them. Most are paved roads, split rail fences around many sites with grass & trees for shade. Hanging flower baskets throughout. Lots of showers for this big park. Close to Lake George and tons of tourist activities. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Farmers Market on Main road through Lake George has lots of fresh and unique vegetables. Tomatillos are delicious. Adirondack Winery nice wines, 7 dollars to taste 7 wines and keep the wine glass with their name on it. What we didn't do but looked fun: Steamboat rides & parasailing on lake. If Kids, bring your pocketbook for watermarks, rides, mini golf and more. Kid friendly.

We made our reservations 6 months in advance and told them we were 40 ft but when we got there they put us up at the top where sites were not big enough and they were unlevel. Did not enforce quiet time or the no fireworks rule. Very expensive for terrible sites. Would not go back. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Saw the bad review in July. Our experience was satisfactory. Spent two nights here. They advertise on really clean restrooms and they were new and spotless. Mostly seasonal. Map is bad. Most roads end in cul-de-sacs. Our site was large, level. Water pressure was very good. WiFi everywhere is spotty, because of so many users, but ours was mostly OK. Transients are put in fairly accessible sites. Staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. I booked via phone but was never sent an e-mail confirmation. They replied confirmations often go to spam and Google has not worked with them to fix the problem. I never saw it in my spam, so do not know. We would stay here again. It is closest to Lake George Village. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Rigs, be careful about where they want to park you. If you are over 32', I would definitely ask to be placed in sections A, H or I. If they put you in another section, go check out the site before you agree to that spot. Walk to it, if you have to. The park map is terrible. You can get lost very easily, if you have never been in the park before. The park needs to provide escorts for people that have never been in the park. The campground map is that bad. We were lucky and got a pull thru site H-21. It has a lot of tree canopy, so if you don't want pine needles on your rig, ask for section A. Our site was very flat. They were having trouble with a water leak the first 2 days, but it got fixed on Monday. They wanted to put us in T-20, but we are pulling a 38' 5th wheel and when we went to look at it, it would have been very difficult to get into and almost impossible to get out of. To get to the site, was up a steep hill, (a short one, but steep) a sharp left turn (it would have been difficult to make that turn) then into the site that they claim is a pull thru, but if someone is camping in front of you, it is no longer a pull thru. Just be careful and look at the site before you pull your rig to it. Otherwise, this is a fantastic campground. There are a lot of seasonals, but they are all friendly. The staff in the office is wonderful. They are very knowledgeable about the area and there is a lot of information in the office. If is within walking distance to the trolley stop. The trolley will take you to Lake George, the outlet mall and even farther north and down into Glens Falls. Saratoga Springs is about 30 minutes away. The Adirondack mountains are close. Lake Placid is about 45-55 minutes and a beautiful drive. The campground has a nice pool (lots of children in summer months), a gaming room, a small laundry. They had some activities. The store at the office had a lot of offer. The fire wood was high at $7.00 a bundle and not seasoned. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake. It is worth the trip and plan on spending the whole day. From Lake George, it is about an hour and then we spent at least 4 hours there.

Take the trolley when you can around the area. It cost $1.00 for each person or $0.50 for seniors. The cost to park is more.

Go on a boat cruise of Lake George.

This campsite is in the tourist area of Lake George near to many attractions, amusement parks and outlet shopping. We used it as a base for seeing the stunning Adirondack Mountains. Our site was one of the better ones being a pull thru and level with gravel standing and grass between sites and could accommodate our 36ft rig ok although the entrance road to the site was a a bit tight. It's easy access from the 1-87 but no highway noise. Wifi was good except late evening when I guess everyone is logged on. Cable TV good. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

After reading other reviews, we were a bit hesitant on coming here, but all other campgrounds were full. In fact, we could only stay one night here because they were booked for the rest of the week. It is large, and family oriented. We had a pull though with full hook up. (50 amp). The park is very large and there are many families enjoying themselves here. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations. Although the park is big, the do not offer an escort service, which we really didn't need. the directions from staff and the map, were very self explanatory and we had no problem finding our site. There is also a trolley service which runs north and south thru the Lake George area and the stop is right by the drive into the CG. We really liked this place. Also, they offer free WIFI, which worked - very well - but just some of the time. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park, we had a very nice site. Feel that park should escort campers to their site since park is very large and site map is hard to read and many sites not marked. Some of the office help not overly knowledgeable on trolley stop and schedule information. Would stay here again. Many sites further into park are all shade and would not want those sites. We stayed on site H34 which was a corner lot. Firewood very expensive for amount received. Pool was nice. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place, very friendly/helpful staff and sites were clean and level. A couple of tight turns headed to the wooded sites but nothing unreasonable. We will definitely be back. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We had visited this campground many times as our friends are seasonal there. This was our first stay. The campground was well maintained, sites were level. We didn't use the pool or showers, but checked them out and seemed to be very clean. The campground overbooked the reservations and tried to send us to their sister campsite, but then found us an area where we could camp with power and water. Not sure why as there were many open sites. Our trailer would have never fit into their small overgrown dump station so we had to wait until neighbor pulled out to use that site to dump. The campground was very quiet at night and there is security that drives around with golf carts to ensure this. The campground is on the trolley route that goes right into the village of Lake George or to the outlets. Probably will not stay here again unless they can guarantee a specific site number when making the reservation (which is not done for first time visitors). We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice, quiet park. The people we met were friendly and the staff were helpful. Our site was shady and cool. Convenient to Lake George village and outlets, although we did not go to the outlets. Trolley will transport you back and forth all day long. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very large, well managed park. They cram a site into every available space, but the terracing on the mountainside keeps it from feeling claustrophobic. We stayed in M6: barely big enough for our 35' fifth wheel, but very comfortable once we got set up. Saw some sites down on the flat by the playground area that I wouldn't care for. Would stay again if in the Lake George area. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed in this campground twice, and both times has been pleasant. The price is reasonable, and even better with the Good Sam discount. The office staff is hit or miss: some of the younger ones seem like they can't be bothered, but others are very helpful. One of the maintenance men was exceedingly helpful and even offered us a ride back to our camper after we bought some ice at the office. There are a lot of seasonals at the lower end of the campground, keeping pretty much to themselves. We don't swim, but the pool looked okay. The game room wasn't much to look at. It can be a little difficult maneuvering larger rigs, but manageable with caution. Our site was perfectly level and spotless. It seems that they clean the sites and rake the gravel almost immediately upon someone's departure. Trash is picked up right at your site. There is a mobile RV repairman that makes the rounds to the local campgrounds, which is a plus if you have an issue with your rig. The campground is close to many Lake George attractions. There aren't a whole lot of amenities, but if you're looking for a quiet place, close to everything and reasonably priced, this is the one for you. We had also looked at Lake George Escape, which provides more (especially for kids) but would have been almost double the price. Pet friendly, and wireless internet available near the office. We camped at King Phillip's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
