One of the best in New York State, pavilion always active, lots of stuff for the kids, safe. Excellent main building, store and check-in. 5-miles from center attraction of Lake George Village. They run a shuttle for people that may be campsite-bound. Typically sold out on holiday weekends and priced accordingly. If you can get there once or twice a year it should be on your list. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We liked the park very much and will be back again. We went for the Car show in August and had a great time. We only stayed 2 nights but decided to stay longer the next time to take advantage of all that the area has to offer. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Campground was very clean and well kept. It was early Fall which is very close to the end of the season so the camp store shelves were a bit bare. Our site was a little small but easily navigated and level. There was some debris left in the fire ring from previous campers. There was a "Town-wide" yard sale going on during this weekend so the campground was at capacity. Utilities worked as expected and there were quite a few cable TV channels provided.

Interior roads are a mix of gravel and dirt but were very easy to navigate. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Park can not accommodate big rigs: sites are way too small. They should combine sites but they would never do that. Roads full of potholes.

Power goes out. No wifi.

Was looking for a seasonal place but rates are insane: seasonals are like $6K, where you can go elsewhere for far less.

The pool area is too small and full. They have gotten too big and I have a feeling its going to backfire. If you like over priced, small sites: this is the place for you. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tight sites but TONS to do for the kids. Camp store well stocked. Bath and shower situation was excellent--clean and reasonably private. Huge resort style campground with lots of amenities and activities even if the sites themselves are nothing special. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Did not care for the campground. We arrived Midweek and were put in the back away from all facilities and activities, close to highway. There were plenty of open sites with shade but suspected that they were reserved for the weekend so I did not complain. Noticed when we left that some of those same sites were still available, I wondered why we were placed in such a bad location. Received an email stating I should have called instead of using online registration. I think they had an idea of where I was going regardless. They also said I should have requested another site but that means repacking. I just drove 5.5 hours to get here, now I have to repack and move because they couldn't give me a better site in the first place?? We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Did a quick mid week stay and they had plenty available. We caught the tail end of the fall foliage. Its a large camp ground and it was easy to ask for and receive a more secluded spot. We like privacy and could tell, by driving around, that they have many sites that afford that request. There are cabins but we didn't get to see one. There is a general store and several activity centers. We were only a couple, but could see where a family would enjoy staying here, not only for the attractions in the area, but the arcade and nature areas in the park to walk. Great Family resort. Stayed on Halloween weekend loved the haunted hay ride put on by the staff. There was activities all day and up till 11pm every night. We always had something to do. The camp store was well stocked and very reasonable on their prices. We will definitely be back. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I've camped at this campground for over 15 years. When it was privately owned it was great now that is was purchased by a large corporation, it is now run-down, no improvements in at least 5 years, dirty/backed up bathrooms, dirty showers, laundry out of order. Hardly any visible staff around. The septic system is failing resulting in septic trucks pumping around the campground every two hours like clock work, noisy and smelly! This campground is not worth $70 per night and they charge extra for every little thing. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Love this campground plenty of stuff for the kids to do all day long from the minute they wake up till dusk. The grille is great only wish prices were a little better and they offered kids meals. Love that you can do the beach or the pool. Staff is extremely friendly been going here for years and can't wait to go in August this year. Only complaint is wish the reservation system was better. This is a giant campground and we were not able to choose our site when we made reservations. The campground worked well for our needs. We left every day and spent the day outside the campground. However, it is not a place I would want to spend a lot of time. Our area had good people that were quiet, but in other areas, and especially near their bar, it was really loud with various campers playing different types of music. So, it was OK but probably very bad if you were in the wrong spot. Some people like mega campgrounds and, for those people, this is a good one. The campground is nice enough but not quite like the pictures on the net, they must have taken the river shots in late spring when the water is high and moving. The river is more like a creek, not very appealing. The staff was very nice. The bathroom and showers were immaculate. Our site was large #70, we have a 29ft TT, full size truck, pop-up screen house, still plenty of space. I don't think there is much for security, our neighbors were loud, and playing music until 1am. If you are using this as a jumping point to go do stuff in the area and then go back, eat, have a campfire, sleep, then this is a good place. I wouldn't want to stay here all day. The general store is one of the nicest I've seen and the prices were all that bad. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This was our second stay here. The reason I came back is because it is really a beautiful park. There is a beach area, frog pond, and 2 pools. Very large campground. Also, because I hardly saw my kids at all! There are so many activities there that there is absolutely no reason for anyone to be bored. We had breakfast buffet 2 days, very good for what little money you pay. I enjoyed the bar and the nightly entertainment. My husband and I like to do A LOT of walking around campgrounds while we are there, and we still did not see the whole place for the 3 days we were there. Staff VERY friendly and the park is VERY clean. I plan on returning here every year. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We spent a week here, on our first trip to Lake George. This campground was very clean and our site was perfect. The staff was great. The work campers enjoy camping as much as we do, unlike the usual summer teen help. The campground shuttle saved time and money in an area where parking is at a premium. There are plenty of things to do, but it's quiet enough to do nothing at all. I would here again and would suggest it to others. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We were pleased with the overall campground however we were disappointed in the site. The site was more suited for a popup not a large 30 ft. with a slide out. The campground does offer a lot of activities for the kids which they did enjoy. The cafe had great music both Friday and Saturday night which we enjoyed. I would go again if I could be sure of getting a suitable site. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
