Overall Rating:

Way overpriced for off-season. For $68/night, there should be paved campsites for RVs. Instead it is mostly dirt and grime. Although far away from most campsites, there is a large dog park with large & small dog areas, restroom, indoor dog wash station, etc. Sewer connection poor as draining must compete with water level within the sewer pipe. Many of the activities were already shut down for off-season although we were charged the full price. Very nice selection of goods in the store, although very high priced. For example, a ground mat is $79 compared to $49 in Walmart for the same mat. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

Thank you for your review of our facility. I am surprised that you thought our off season mid-week pricing was expensive. Our rate includes 50 amp electric, water, sewer, free WIFI and 72 channels of cable(many digital HD as well). As is customary in northeastern campgrounds, our sites are not paved but they are not dirt either. They are covererd in a product made up of fine crushed stone which allows for excellent drainage. The water you noticed in the sewer is just a water trap that does not effect drainage at all. We are one of very few parks that offer an indoor pool that is open every day during our season. Yes, many of the facilities do not operate during the week in the Spring and Fal but the price you paid is reflective of that. I hope you will consider staying with us again in the future. When making reservations, our staff would be happy to assist you in determining the best time in the season you should come to take advantage of the facilities you would like to use.

Campsites were small. When I made my reservation they ask you to provide 3 choices. I did not get any of the 3 choices. They assign your site the day of arrival based on availability. I knew this when I made the reservation but you would think for the price they would be more accommodating. If you do not have kids with you, and are not excited by magicians, jugglers, and hypnotists I would avoid this park. Easy access to county bike path approximately 3 miles to Lake George. Also trolley service was fine, Wi-Fi adequate. Probably great place if you have young kids with you. We enjoyed biking and Lake George, not worth the price for me personally. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

A clean, large campground, but not a 10. Sites were not level, this is a very hilly area and all the sites we observed slanted downhill. Trailers with tongue jacks will have an easier time leveling than will a motorhome. There are a dozen sites on a blacktop area near the East building. The trolley to town is a nice feature,, especially if you do not bring car. The office staff were helpful, and did not mind our attempts to find a level site, giving us several to try and just asking us to call them and tell them which one we chose. Our stay was Monday to Thursday, so they might not be able to offer so many site choices on the weekends. We stayed at this campground many years ago when it was much smaller. It is still a very nice campground. If we return we will just ask to be put "on the blacktop." We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

We pulled into this campground excited about all of its amenities. The problem we had was that the sites are so close together and small that we had to circle the park for 2 hours trying to find a site that would fit our trailer. We had people on one side of us with barking dogs and the other side with 5 kids. The fire rings are so close to each others sites that we had to move our truck onto the street when others lit their fires. The entertainment was good, the cafe was great but the arcade rooms were tiny with only 4 machines. Why bother? The movie houses were hot, no air conditioning and played old movies, Toy Story, etc. The trolley service into town was great, free and prompt. This campground was okay but the office help is burnt out. I loved the Lake George area, alot to do around. Okay campground if you like close quarters. Bath houses are clean. Bingo a few times a week is okay, suppose to be 1 1/2 hours but is really only 1 hour with a break in between so people can get up and spend money in their store. Prizes are terrible. Scale of 1 to 10 I give this campground a 5. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We camped here in June 2009. The staff was not very friendly when asked about area attractions and was not helpful. They stuck us in the back of the campground, when the campground was empty this was a problem because the campground was so large and if you needed to use their restroom or shower you had to drive. Also they advertise wifi but they charge a fee of $10.00 for two days which was very disappointing. Also their game room was very expensive at $1.00 a game we have never had to pay that kind of money for games. It was a clean campground but if you are going to charge high prices for perks of the campground then its not a very enjoyable place to stay and we would not stay here again. We would look for a more family budget oriented campground. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wow, expensive. $49 for the site and then charged me an additional $14 for my 2 kids, ouch. It is a clean campground very close to everything in Lake George. There are a lot of things to do in Lake George so you really don't use much of the campground facilities. They sent me to a site that was down a step hill and I bottomed out damaging my rear steps on the 5th wheel. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were so excited about this park, but were disappointed. They had WIFI, but it was $15 for the weekend. They have two pools. One was driving distance from our site down a huge hill and the other was right near the road at the entrance to the park. It was chaotic trying to bike to the pool near the entrance and maneuver around incoming RV's. Although the roads were beautifully paved, they were very hilly and extremely difficult for the little ones to bike. There were NO activities, except an evening movie. They depend on visitors spending their day in Lake George so offer nothing to do at the campground. The site we had was totally unlevel and we had to continually re-adjust to maintain some sort of levelness in the camper. On a positive note, we were in a beautifully wooded site and the campground itself was very neat, clean and well maintained. The store was well stocked and the office was beautiful. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground, but priced way to high! Lots of people busy place. Site are ok, they put us in a parking lot near the indoor pool, it was ok. The campground just up the street is much less money, and just as nice, Ledgeview Village RV Park. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is one of the nicest looking in the Lake George area: and we have previously stayed here a few years back. However, upon our return one thing we found irritating: is what I saw mentioned by a previous poster which triggered my recollection. You need to have a very large artificial turff or outdoor rug, whichever you use, as the substance they use on the site in place of gravel, is I'm not sure what it is, but it's very gritty and dusty. Just found it annoying. Be sure to bring old sneakers, and you will be sweeping out the rig more often. Sounds kind of dumb, but it was just irritating. Have also found that there has been quite a price increase. While they don't sound too bad initially: bring 3 kids with you and that's an extra $18.00 per night, mid week. Weekends are more. Security is good with nightly patrols, which was a good thing to see. Quiet in the evenings. Found the staff to be courteous but detached. Not that it matters, just not exactly welcoming. While they have nightly entertainment, it's the same we saw back a few years ago. Not much change there. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
