Huge park located about a mile off I-87, 3 miles from Lake George Village. We arrived mid week, and no one was in the guard shack. We proceeded to the office for check in. They do have someone in the guard shack for the weekends that will direct you. Check in was efficient. Staff very friendly. The park is heavily wooded. The roads are ok for big rigs, paved, just wide enough, some tight turns and hilly roads on the upper portion. We bottomed out on a steep dip when getting to our site. Our site was extra long and wide. Pull thru, full hook up, fire ring, picnic table, heavily wooded therefore no satellite but they have good cable. The site was dirt, and it rained, which caused a mess. Water pressure was good. Beautiful, good size dog park. Big area for large dogs, which we have, it was great to let them run and play with other dogs. Great green space to walk dogs around park. Internal trails that take you by two ponds and around the park. They have laundromats, didn't use them, but checked them out. Modern machines, wash $2.00. dry .25 for 10 minutes. Wi-Fi was good until Friday when more people come in, then spotty. Multiple pools, including an indoor pool. There are arcades, playgrounds, tennis/pickleball courts as well as additional activities for kids & adults. There is a café, and the office has a good size store. There is also a trolley service to Lake George Village, but after labor day, the trolley didn't run, and the café wasn't open. We arrived after Labor Day, it was quiet until the weekend, then the park became noisy. This park would have received a higher rating if the site wasn't all dirt. Close to outlets, restaurants and six flags park. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park. Has all the services anyone looks for. My issues were 1) the proximity to outlets can cause jam ups getting in/out of park, good luck on a rainy day. 2) park is about 5-10 minutes to lake village/lake( could be longer depending on outlet traffic) 3) dog park was best I've seen if you have large dogs, small dog section got no turf, spray area and fit through fence. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rent boat if you can and explore lake. We had blast tubing and picnicking at lake sites.

The ONLY downside of this park is the cost. I've paid less for a hotel room! We have an 18 year old disabled daughter - and were charged for an extra adult for her! The park is well maintained and has many lovely wooded sites. For those wanting wide open sites - they have those too! There is an amazing dog park, several outdoor pools, and indoor pool, a small cafe, a nice camp store and tennis courts, pickle ball courts, bocce courts, etc. etc. There is a stocked stream to fish and a lovely small pond to paddle boat around in. The nightly entertainment is great. We were able to see a hypnotist (amazing and funny), play bingo (free except for a deposit of $5 on cards which is returned when you return your card) and a magician. The entertainment was GREAT! I do think $90+ for a campsite is high - all sites have water, sewer, cable and electric. WiFi is free - works well most of the time. Many families that were there come back year after year. Liked our site - wooded and private with great space for a hammock and a nice fire ring. Just be prepared to pay for the amenities! We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a huge campground with 2 distinct sections. Each section has tons of amenities and activities for kids (which we do not have). The roads are paved and wide so navigating is easy in our 44' rig. The sites are gravel and very spacious with large grassy areas between sites and a picnic table. We asked for an open site, and the staff was accommodating so we had no satellite issues. Our only issue was leveling - the site was smooth and looked level, but we had to have 4" under our front jacks to get level without being off the ground. The campground has free wifi which worked well for us throughout our stay. We definitely will stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you have children - this place is a 10. Unreal facilities, snack bar, movie theatre, pools, basketball, tennis etc all on site and in excellent condition. Very well organized. In some areas there is a lot of room between sites. In others it appears to be very close and I have never seen so many towels on clothes lines overnight. Interior roads are asphalt/excellent, sites are crushed gravel. As a site to explore the area (without children) a very nice park but very overpriced. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

Major tree issues. Huge park and all roads are one way so you have to drive quite a ways within the park to get to the sites, and we encountered a number of trees that were not trimmed. Most sites are not level, but are large. Internet is not that great. One side of the park is close to a very busy road, so noisy. Nice staff. TONS for kids and families to do. We encountered a number of loose dogs. One family violated this rule every day. I felt they should be kicked out but manager refused, but he did go talk to them. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was our sixth trip to this park. As usual, the amenities, facilities, the staff, and our site exceeded our expectations. The park is well maintained with an attention to details, and management continues to make sure your camping experience is a great one. Our only surprise was the nightly rate of $119.00 with 5 kids ($79 base rate plus $40 for the kids). We thought it was excessive and unaffordable for a lot of camping families. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a large, clean park with many things to do. It was expensive, easily the most I ever paid, but I knew that going in. I agree with the "corporate feel" post below, but it didn't have any affect on my stay. The security was non-existent, campers policed themselves and for my 5 nights, I didn't experience any problems. My family was there to see the surrounding area, so we didn't stay in the resort the whole time. Perhaps the price would be justified if we did. We did enjoy the park with the free shows and bike path and fishing pond and pools when we were there. I give the park an 8 because I felt the additional $8 per kid per night was excessive. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

It is a nice park close to all the activities in Lake George. There are lots of large level sites. The park was full when we were there with lots of activities. It is a little noisy at night. There are helpful staff and clean restrooms. The only negative comment I have is the price. 2 nights cost $144. We would return again if in the area. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

It is a very nice, very large campground. For handicap accessibility, washroom/showers are better than average (but need improvement). The washrooms overall need upgrading (but are clean). All interior roads are paved, which is nice for both accessibility and bicycle riding. Sites are large and private. The staff were less than outgoing. Wifi is pricey. Free cable is nice for rainy days. The park's location is great for local shopping. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

It is a very nice park but I believe way overpriced. It is, after all, a campground. Some sites in the woods are just dirt. Others are in a huge blacktop parking lot. Ours was on the blacktop. it is a very clean park. There are flowers everywhere. There are lots of amenities, pools, tennis courts, etc. It would be great for families. We only stayed two nights, but to get the full benefit of all the things in this park it would be nice to stay at least a week if you can afford the high fee. Internet was not free but another ten dollars for two days. However, it did work. So often campgrounds offer free internet and you can't get it very good. I would rather pay a fee and have the thing work. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was our maiden trip with our new motorhome. We were on our way to Maine and stopped here for one night. I thought wow kind of expensive for one night. The site was very nice, it was back in the woods so it was shady and they had a trash can for every site. The bike path was fantastic, it was scenic and you could ride for days. Since we were only here overnight we didn't get to do any of the other fun things that the campground had to offer. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

A good campground to spend a week in, which we did. We had a large enough, shady (trees but not the deep, dark woods) campsite. The camp was very clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. There was a trolley, nominal fee, that you could use to go to the outlets, and another trolley that could be taken, again, for a small fee, into Lake George. Entertainment was offered on an almost nightly basis, and the shows were surprisingly good. We took in two of the shows, and all of us (husband, me, and sixteen year old daughter) enjoyed them immensely. A small, clean luncheonette, and a camp store that was well stocked. Paved streets made bike riding and walking very easy. Only one possible negative-the main camp sites, of which we had one, were great, but the another area of campsites were more like a parking lot. Sun beat down on these sites all day-no trees, and much more closely packed sites. I would not have wanted to stay at this campground if I had one of these sites. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pricey for one night, but if you are there for a week with children you will love it. Big and busy. Still had to duck trees when hooked to my car but not as bad as most. W-ifi is not free and starts at 2 day minimum. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.
