1 Park near Northville, New York
Aug 2015 - $20.00
This is a very quiet, peaceful campground in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains along the Sacandaga River. There is no cell service, tv signal, beach, or boat ramp. However, the park is a pristine setting situated in the midst of tall white pines and hardwoods. There are a variety of sites to meet your needs, some more level than others. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restrooms were vintage Adirondack but always found them to be clean and adequate. Sites were raked and fire boxes cleaned after check out. Firewood is available for purchase.
Very peaceful, restful and relaxing atmosphere. Probably a bit overpriced as the amenities are limited. However, this is a true camping experience that provides the opportunity to do your own cooking, make your own campfires, make your own entertainment and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Adirondacks. Interior roads are paved and good for biking. Plenty of river access for exploring or fishing. We would definitely come back. - rvwanderer13

Beautiful riverside sites on Sacandaga River. Level was hard to find. There is no cell service, no exposure to satellites. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking both here and nearby. Amenities include campsites, a picnic area with tables and fireplaces, restrooms with showers, a trailer dump station, a boat launch (on the back side of Algonquin Lake), a recycling center, and a pay telephone. Most facilities are handicapped-accessible. Nearby attractions include shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, and golf courses. Friendly staff. Woodall's listed as in Northville. It is really halfway between Hope and Wells about 1/2 mile north of Alpine Grill. We would camp here again. - Wheelbarrows
