This is a quiet, family-friendly campground without many frills except for the beauty of the lake itself and the surrounding Adirondacks. There is a wide assortment of site types from secluded lakeside ones with their own private beaches to ones in the woods to ones in large grassy areas. Some are pull-thru. Playground is on the small side and more for the under-10 crowd. Beach is clean and usually guarded. Our kids had a great time just riding their bikes around. We noticed some fire pits were upgraded this year. We camped at Meacham Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.
Toilets are old. Beach has a steep slope which is not fun for kids to play in. It also has algae. The kids playground is old and boring. The showers are brand new, clean, and free. The public payphones were out of order. Not much to do except the nice Tupper Lake Wild Center. We camped at Meacham Lake State Park in a Tent Trailer.
