Water pressure fluctuated between 40 psi and 52 psi. Power stable Leg 1 120v, Leg 2 121v. Promised a site that would be able to get satellite. Not true. I have Dish Network that uses the western arc satellites 110, 119 and 129. Impossible to get those satellites. Using the eastern arc, 61.5, 72.5 and 77 I was only able to get satellite 77. No HD channels on that satellite. Very limited Dish reception. Site was level with decent spacing between sites. Since we were in the 'Satellite reception area' there were very few RVs next to us. Campground WiFi is free. WiFi usage is throttled. The more data you use, the less your download speed. Once you reach 1G of data usage in a 12 hour prior your download speed is limited to 1 Mbps. WiFi worked for the first two days of our stay. It never worked again. Talked to office about the WiFi and was told they were 'working on it'. During our stay it was quiet with no campground traffic around us. Good road to the campground with gravel roads leading to our site. Our site was in a large open gravel area. Very expensive to park in a gravel parking lot and very dusty. Sewer connection over one foot above ground. We booked the New York City bus tour through the KOA office. We told the office personnel four different times we were traveling with a handicapped senior. When the bus arrived for the tour it did not have handicapped access. The bus driver did not know there was a handicapped senior on the tour. Our handicapped friend had to use the bus stairs for the tour. Very difficult for someone recuperating from a recent broke arm and recent hip replacement. We also paid to have our dog walked twice during our tour. The dog walker only walked our dog once. I have a video surveillance camera in our motor home to prove it. Very upset since our tour lasted over 13 hours! $73 a night is too expensive to park in a gravel parking lot, not have a handicapped equipped bus and not have our dog walked as promised. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

Although a distance from NYC, it's easy to get into the city either by car or on the train - we did both. The week we were there, the bridge over the thruway was under repair requiring an inconvenient detour. We selected out site for satellite reception. It was located at the end of a row and was very private and spacious. The downside was extremely low water pressure. This is, in my opinion, one of the better KOA properties in the system. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Only 40 minutes away, over the Hudson, is the Culinary Institute of America which is well worth a visit but you have to make reservations long in advance.

This park is 11 or so miles off the interstate. Seemed a little hard to find . Therefore it was quiet. We only stayed one nite and did not use any amenities. Pour pull through was plenty long enough but not level. All sites amoung the trees. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed the park. It was clean, the sites were wide, and we had some shade. The park was quiet even though it was very full with families with children and dogs. The campers followed the rules about quiet time and the care of their dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed this park. The free pancakes every day for truly a plus as were the staff. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We took the bus to New York City which the park arranged for us. I tell you, it's the only way to see the "Big Apple" We traveled to West Point from this park and to Franklin D. Roosevelt's home and museum and also to Eleanor's Val-Kill home. Lots to do in this area.

Probably one of the best KOA's I have every stayed in. The interior roads are paved, narrow but Ok and sites gravel in a deep woods environment. The sites are long fitting my 45 ft MH and jeep and exceptionally spacious with typically 10-20 feet of woods separating the sites allowing a unique camping experience and privacy rarely seen in a commercial RV park. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Our site 138 was a deluxe patio 50 amp FHU PT site hence the high cost but very nice and well worth it. It had a wide concrete patio, gas grill, sunken brick fire ring, new picnic table, heavy plastic table with 4 chairs and a two seat heavy plastic swing. Wifi Fi was good. No satellite access given trees. Cable was available but limited channels. We did not use but noted the campground has large pools, playground, bounce pad, rock climbing walls, volleyball and basket ball courts, horses, mini golf. Getting there is a little challenge on many small roads but they have several signs and GPS map location works well. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground was hard to get into and out of. The roads are very narrow and crooked. Once in the campground the roads in the campground are one-way and very narrow. The campground is in the middle of a heavily wooded area so satellite is impossible and the cable is not good. We were in a 43 foot motorhome with a tow vehicle that thankfully we had unhooked before heading to our site as we could not have gotten into our site with it connected. The site was very narrow with trees on both sides and barely enough room for our slides to be extended. If in the area again we will travel the extra miles into PA to a more big rig friendly campground. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

Overnight stop for me, but most people are here for a few days, perhaps longer. Nice pool, facilities. Staff efficient, helpful. Was easy to find my back-in site without needing an escort. No problem backing, site was level, utilities no problem, very good WiFI & cable. Extensive store: food, RV supplies, etc. Free pancakes in morning.

It is about as close as one can get to NYC. I would stay here again. Tours to NYC are offered, nice touch. Use your GPS to find this KOA: no problem but very helpful.

Cautions: Extra $6/night "resort fee." Not sure what this provides: perhaps the free breakfast and a fire truck circulating around the campgrounds.

Also be aware of strictly enforced two night minimum on Friday - Saturday. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

Some sites are satellite accessible. Good electric. Adequate water pressure. Internet speed varied between very good and fair. They charge an extra resort fee per night whether you use the facilities here or not. Fairly convenient to all the sites along the Hudson (West Point, Hyde Park, etc.) as well as to the train to Manhattan. There is lots to see in the area and being a KOA, the park itself tries to be a destination in itself with a pool and lots of activities for kids. They also provide a tour to New York once a week. It gets smoky at night because almost everyone builds a fire, even if its 85 degrees outside. Its about 11 miles from all the interstates. Sites are dirt with dirt roads but are wide. We have stayed here twice and would stay again. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed 3 days in site 114 and it was perfect. Very level and across from the bathroom. Site was so shady you really didn't need your awning. In the mornings water pressure was bad but as the day progressed it went back to normal. WiFi was marginal and TV was fine. I was able to watch and enjoy the Olympics.

Campground is definitely geared towards the children. Lots for them to do and you could hear them the entire time :) Way too many dogs barking, though. A big deal is made about dogs barking but management does nothing to uphold their rules about it.

All of the amenities were good and the pool was refreshing. Store was good and well stock.

Yes camping fee is pricey but we all continue to pay it myself included.

We were in town for a family reunion and will definitely stay here again next year. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We were assigned an end, gravel, 50 amp, FHU pull-thru site (#60) with lots of foliage and trees. When we pulled up to our site, we were impressed until we tried to level. What normally takes 5 minutes took us over an hour to level as the site was sloped. Once we got through that, it was a great site. No neighbors on one side, a woods view out the front, and plenty of space. Other sites appeared to be more level, so they all weren't bad. The WiFi was excellent. The cable had a limited # of channels. Friendly, efficient check-in. Good Verizon cell service. Easy drive in and out of our site. Typical KOA with lots for kids/families to do. We would stay here again, but not on site #60. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

This was an overnight stop for us on the way home and we found the site to be easy to access with good hookups. There were plenty of things for children to keep busy. The bathroom that I did go into was old and not as clean as I would have wanted if I had to use their facilities. The staff was very helpful with directions. I would stay here again because of convenience but that is based on the fact that there are not many choices of campgounds beteween Delaware and Massachusetts on the way North or South on main highways. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a Deluxe 50 Amp site for our 30 Amp camper. We had power issues: the breaker at our site was bad. It was hot, (89 deg F +), and we ran our A/C. A breaker in my RV tripped because of the low voltage and high amperage provided by the service box. They came out the next morning and replaced the breaker. It worked fine the rest of the stay. I thought it still may have been a problem with the camper, but we had no issues with the other two campgrounds we visited on the Eastern Seaboard that week.

We paid for a premium site, and expected everything to work, but there was no cable TV, and they would not give us a credit for not being able to provide cable. (sad face).

There was a LOT of poison ivy all over and the dogs transferred it to us.

We have been coming here for years, but will no longer even think of it. It's too expensive for what you get. We had to pay for services that we didn't get, and the grounds have steadily declined.

Wineries are nearby, but if you want something to do at the campground as an adult, go somewhere else.

Also: had to pay for pets, and a "resort fee"??? What is a Resort Fee?

Charged us for a Pull Through, when we had a Back-In. They refused to adjust that too!!! Never again... We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Travel Trailer.

If you are passing through, or using it as a night stay for NYC activities, it may suit you fine. Poison Ivy all around the campground!!! Ask if they've eradicated it before making a reservation here, unless you are immune to it!

Since I like Satellite TV and don't really like being in the trees, I opt for one of the 3 back in overflow sites across from the office. I have found the sites down below to be tight and not worth the trouble to get in and out. The overflow sites are fairly level and are usually easy in and out. Perfect for one night. The night we were here, they were having a wine tasting which was nice. Tons of stuff for children. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.
