Overall Rating:

We used this location as a base to explore the Adirondack Mountains, the Lake Placid, Tupper Lake, and Fort Ticonderoga area. The hosts were nice, and very accommodating. Our first site, A1, was too close to some trees so we couldn't get a signal with out satellite dish which is on the front third of the roof. We were allowed to move to site 49B and satellite reception was excellent.

We had 50 amp, and great water pressure, but there is no sewer at individual sites. There is a dump station acr0ss from the city water treatment facility on the entrance/exit road. I believe there was a pump-out vendor available for a fee. We didn't use it.

It appeared the majority of the park was seasonal sites, which were kept well for the most part. We didn't spend much time in the park, as we were out seeing the area. This is not a 5 star resort, but it served our purpose. We camped at Bulwagga Bay Campsite in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The best local restaurant we found was the Sentinel in Ticonderoga. A little pricey but very good food. The boat cruise on Lake Champlain which is part of the Fort Ticonderoga offerings was excellent. The Wild Center in Tupper Lake is geared toward young children and the Wild Walk is definitely for younger people.
