17 Parks near Rhinebeck, New York
Jul 2016 - $1.00
This "resort" would best be described as a traditional trailer park. Many "seasonals" are present. We spoke to one very nice lady who has lived there for 12 years. Our campsite was level and FHU under the spreading pine trees. Our site was way in the back, so it was either drive to the front or hike. The on-site cafe was very nice. Food was good. - moderate camper
Apr 2016 - $10.00
Nice staff - very helpful. Nice large sites well worth the price. Good hook-ups. Good stop-over. - morgan10
Apr 2016 - $1.00
We have been members of this campground for 29 years, the price per day without membership is $60 plus. We have seen it go downhill. They now allow yearly site rental and sale of cabins. Most sites are maintained but others are poor. Cable TV very poor, said they are upgrading. Water has a horrible smell. Grounds are well maintained. Restrooms are dated. - philandterri35
Jul 2016 - $57.00
This is a lovely family campground in a beautiful country setting. Cable worked very well and the water/sewer/electric hook-ups were good. We asked for a quiet area and appreciated being accommodated. The roads are dirt/gravel and our site was grass. There were lots of activities for families and kids. They had WIFI, but it was spotty. Bathrooms were older but clean. The swimming pool was popular. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Pricing is higher than we expected, but we did like it here. - R&S
Aug 2015 - $29.00
Rate reflects monthly rate. The last time we were here was 5 yrs ago. Improvements were made since then, more gravel on sites and better maintained . Still a family campground with lots to do for kids on weekends. Utilities were good, Wi-Fi on the weak side better during the afternoon. Friendly owners and campers. Would come back again. - norootsnow

Beautiful huge park with large separation between sites. Many of the sites are on grass. Some are on crushed slate. Roadway between lanes was not wide enough for a big rig.. If there had been another unit in the space across the lane from us, it would have been quite difficult getting a big rig in and out. With rain, this park gets a little muddy. Lovely grounds. This park is on multiple levels. Owners have put in stone steps between levels which is nice. Quiet part of the park is up on the hills. Much busier down below where the heated pool, hayride and activities are held. There are a few seasonal units in residence - all are beautifully maintained. Washrooms, laundry are all at the bottom of the hill so quite a hike if you are on one of the upper levels.
Many wonderful little historic towns nearby. - JanneC
Jul 2016 - $79.00
Stayed for 4 days. Very well kept and friendly staff. Will return again. Water park was excellent. - usmc616
May 2015 - $58.00
This was our first camping experience, close to home, people were great, they are doing a lot of upgrades and adding a new water park, not yet completed while we were there. We had a (premium river view site) that was great, with some tree cover. - big_country
Sep 2014 - $70.00
This was an overnight stop on our way to New England. The sites for 50 amp are in the back on a hill. The 50 amp sites are about 70% seasonal. It took a little maneuvering to get it but, was OK. Weak WiFi - Cable TV was good. Little pricy for what you get. Would probably not stay here again. - Larry Jenkins
May 2016 - $25.00
I have stayed her many times over the years. My recommendation it to book early if you think you want to go here in the summer on the weekends.
The bathrooms are clean the sites are spacious I have no complaints.
You will not get cell service or WiFi which is fine by me! - suze1125
Sep 2012 - $27.00
Beautiful location, though the road up to the park is a bit steep & curvy. Sites seem to be mostly shaded with nice spacing between. Bathrooms are a bit old but clean. - liz&denis
Jun 2012 - $26.00
We stayed here two nights. The bathrooms were clean and looked like they were recently built. Private shower rooms were nice. I did not have cellular service though that might be a plus to some. Beach was clean with a lifeguard. We will stay here again. - C H
Jul 2016 - $45.00
This park is not signed on the road, so make sure you have good directions. Do NOT take the Taconic Parkway to get there - campers are not allowed. Management was very helpful in getting us a direct tv hook up. Nice shade, 50 amp electric, but struggled a bit to get level. - Cmacoll64
Sep 2015 - $45.00
Nice place. We were parked in the Meadow loop. This seemed to have more transients than the other loops. We parked on the south side of the loop. Lots of room, on grass. No satellite in out spot due to trees. Parking on the north side of Meadow loop would allow reception.
Price is decent for the area. Close to Tacomic Pkwy for car travel. We would stay here again when in the area. - Seb
Jun 2015 - $45.00
Nice wooded campground on a small lake. Mostly seasonals; I could only count a few transient sites. Very quiet. The party site even settled down at quiet time. We asked for a 50 amp site but got a 30. The cable TV didn't work and we couldn't get and OTA channels. None of this mattered to us because it was just an overnight stay.
The roads are a little tight for large motor homes. I would say that rigs over 36 feet should consider somewhere else. Be sure to follow the website's directions to the campground to avoid the Taconic Parkway which does not allow campers or trailers. - jplante4
Jul 2016 - $79.00
Stayed for 5 days over the holiday weekend and the park was filled to capacity. The pool was overcrowded and no one was here to enforce the rules, plenty of beer drinking in the pool. One night the campers behind me decided to set off firecrackers. - usmc616
Jul 2016 - $78.00
We stayed here over a weekend while visiting family in nearby Beacon NY. Didn't use too much of the amenities as family outings took precedence. However, the park seems to be very busy with a lot of activities. And, the staff was always nice and helpful. We will be back in the fall when the leaves are changing and will stay here again. - Our rv journey
Jul 2016 - $65.00
Office person, (older lady, onsite manager) was not very helpful. Had to ask about WiFi availability, over-the-air TV stations, site #. Was not escorted to site but should have been. Should have been advised to unhook towed as the roads/sites are not big rig friendly. Had to unhook car after we were halfway in and could not make a turn. Absolutely will not be back or recommend this place period. Worst KOA I've stayed at in a long time. - jc2
Jul 2016 - $55.00
About 3 miles from the Thruway but easy to find. Roomy, hard packed surface, level sites under large trees. No satellite reception but 65 channels of high quality cable reception but no PBS. The best WiFi access I have ever had in a campground. I travel with a mobile hot spot because of poor campground WiFi, but I did not have to use it here. When a camper had a serious problem with the RV the staff was very helpful with repairs and got him on his way. This campground is a good base camp to tour the mid Hudson River valley. - Travlin Tarheel
Jul 2016 - $49.00
Poor outside lighting. Shower curtains too narrow and too short. Lots of roots make walking about the site difficult. Pool not supervised. - LSM55
Jul 2016 - $64.00
Overall this park is very wooded and will give you the woodsy camping feeling. We have a long 5th wheel (42 feet) but had no problem getting to our pull-thru site or leaving.
Activities: The swimming pool is "heated" but not a hot tub heat, more like once you jump in you immediately get used to the temperature type of heated. The fishing pond is decent, however keep your line away from the fountain, our kids lost too many lures casting that direction. We stayed 4th of July weekend and they only had campground actives on Saturday and not everyday like most places. There is a nature trail that takes you around the outer parameter of the park and there are a few enter/exit spots clearly labeled with signs.
Staff: the staff was friendly and escorts you to your site. They can be seen all over the campground, cleaning escorting people, garbage pick up every morning, etc.
Site: for the most part our site was level, we had to park in just the right spot to leave room for our slide-outs and awning. We felt that we had sufficient room between us and the next site to still have that private feeling. Electric was good, cable was a little snowy on some channels, wifi was just enough to check email, water pressure was low.
The only downside we encountered, which wasn't too bad, was that the fire department is across the street. They also have signs in the office when you check-in letting you know its across the street. The siren only went off twice while we were there and the siren lasted about 45-60 seconds. - AJay
Jun 2016 - $56.00
Stayed here for a week while visiting relatives in the area. Has a great pool for the grandkids. A couple of things; first, visitors are charged $10 per adult. This was an issue because family could not visit us without paying $20 per day. Also, they charge for use of the showers. I think this is the first campground we have been to with this visitor policy and with pay showers. The space was very spacious, we not very close to any other campers. The park is very large and easy to get lost in. I think if we make this trip again, we may stay at another park. - LDJohnsonAZ
Jun 2016 - $56.00
Campground has very large sites. We had plenty of room and the site felt very private. It is heavily wooded and would be much more attractive if they took out the smaller trees. We couldn't get any satellite reception. WIFI is pretty good, if slow. Verizon hotspot didn't work - because of the trees? Having so many trees makes the atmosphere dark and a little gloomy, in my opinion. Nice place to take a walk with the dog.
Entry area is very crowded and this seems to be a busy place so check-in took a while. - UllaPool
Aug 2015 - $55.00
This is a very nice campground. A bit tight for our 43 foot motorhome but we had a nice pull thru up front. Staff was friendly enough but seemed too busy and unable to give us much attention. We had no cable service the first night and spend much of the next day trying to get staff to help/provide updates. The cable was restored but there were not many channels and the reception on most channels was very grainy. Very forested so no satellite. WiFi was very good. Many restrooms spread throughout the park but showers were all up front by the office. There were plenty of them as well. The showers were 25 cents for eight minutes and there were no controls so you couldn't adjust the temperature or turn off the water if you finished early. The hookups were fine and the sites in general were level and spacious. Lots of activities for the kids. About four miles from the interstate and the town of Saugerties. - VegasVagabonds
May 2015 - $29.00
Old Rundown campground that a resort is trying to update. Would not recommend this campground at all. The clerk was suppose to be the general manager and she could not check us in correctly. We told her we wanted 30 amps and she put us in a full hook up 50 amps. The ground was unlevel on a soft grassy surface . Suppose to have cable but that did not work. No internet service at all. Only good thing was half price with Passport America rate. Stay away. - Biggyrat
Jul 2013 - $30.00
This campground is in need of a lot of updates. There are a lot of seasonal units but most of them are well kept. They have minimal activities on weekends for children. Swimming is in a lake that is not very clean. Store is minimally stocked. A pass card is required to gain entrance through the gate with a deposit required for the card. Guests are charged $8. per day to visit. Overall tired looking and unkempt. However there are plenty of sites available and the power and wifi (which costs extra) are excellent. We would probably not stay here again as there are nicer options in the area. - Landeetwo
Oct 2012 - $20.00
While this park does not have laundry facilities (there is a public one just over a mile away) it has so many other positive features that it is a great place to stay. Planned activities, lots of family oriented things going on, takeaway food available at a reasonable cost, and it is very family friendly. The managers and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed three nights and the price reflects an October special for Passport America members. - Pegbag
Jul 2016 - $55.00
We stayed here with another couple 4th of July weekend 2016. Our sites were very nice and shaded but were bordering a swampy area and the mosquitoes were vicious! We ended up with welts on our legs even though we had a campfire going and bug spray on! They had an Elvis impersonator for entertainment, which was hilarious! (Mostly because of the swooning of the women in the audience and his interaction with them.) The staff is very nice and the pool is very clean, although we didn't make use of it.
They have a small "catch and release" pond for fishing, but the adjacent lake is not navigable because of the vegetation. If you are planning to kayak here, forget it!
The campground overall is very nice, but a bit pricey. If you consider this place, request an area away from the wetlands. - grumpah
May 2016 - $50.00
Campground is spotless, great staff. Very helpful. Breakfast on Mother's day morning was delicious. Great coffee! Lot spacing was spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surfaces were gravel and featured a fire ring and picnic table. Well kept grounds! - Cyclegirl00
Aug 2015 - $51.00
A nice park with friendly folks, level sites. Build on several levels, expect hills to and from any site. - ta96silver
