Nice KOA surrounded by farmlands. Varied RV's, mostly travel trailers, but a few class A's and C's sprinkled about. Staff was friendly and courteous. Sites were dual hookups (two campers sharing one pedestal with water and electric. No cable). About seven miles from Cooperstown Hall of Fame site. Would recommend this KOA to everyone. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed in site 71 which was a 50AMP FHU site ,site was not very level, most of the stone had been taken over by grass. hookups were good, but the sewer pipe was 15 inches above the ground. When I asked if they would do something about it, they gave our neighbors a length of gutter to help support THEIR hose. Had to park the truck across the grassy road way cause the site was too short to leave the dualy there. Satellite didn't work cause too many trees. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This seemed very expensive for what we got. The sites are rather close and the campground is older. However, the owners are working very hard to make upgrades. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The interior roads were easy to navigate. We barely fit in our site but it was okay. There were storms going through (extremely high winds) and the owners told us where to go in case of a tornado. We only stayed one night and it was fine. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Scenic drive to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Had dinner in a quaint restaurant and most are all within walking distance of each other. Downtown Cooperstown and Otsego Lake are nice places to visit.

We stayed here only one night in transit. Good campground overall. The CG is built on a hill and the sites are fairly level given the overall slope of the CG but be prepared for some leveling. Sites are decent size for KOA. There have installed sewer, but it apparently has not been approved yet for use. Campground was clean and staff very friendly. WiFi worked OK but they have Satellite Internet so it is very limited. Phone service is very limited in this area also. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice location, well off Rte 20, so no highway noise. WiFi very poor (blamed on weather) although I find this typical of most KOAs. Laundry seemed a tad pricey ($2/wash, $2.25/dry). Very nice staff but I was surprised when they said the office was about to close when we arrived at 3:30 pm on a Sunday. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Can't say enough nice about new owners. Very friendly. Previous owners had placed us in a spot that was too small and had 30 amp, no sewer. The new owners upgraded us to large site with full hookups and 50 amp: without additional charge! Plenty of room, setting is rural and about 25 miles from Cooperstown. Very quiet, even though they were mostly full. Lots of room to walk pets. Unfenced dog area. Owners had even mowed additional paths for pet walking. Be aware, pool under rehab. Water had bad taste. We had to throw out ice and flush tank after we left. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Motorhome.

Charming site. Short drive to Baseball Hall of Fame. Great wooded location and fairly level. Enjoyed sitting out and saw a wonderful sunset. We arrived about a hour before official check-in time so we were hit with a $10.00 early check-in fee. Was not happy with that. Overall a great site. This particular KOA is under new ownership and the new owners are trying hard to make some improvements. There is a ways to go though, the sites are pretty un-level both side to side and back to front. They are also in need of new gravel to cover the dirt. There is no dedicated pet walk area, but there are large fields adjoining the park that I saw others walking their pets in. It's not RV park property, but may belong to a nearby farmer. The gravel on the interior roads is a bit better, but not all of them have been finished. The park has handicapped accessible restrooms, and offers free Wifi. However our Verizon air card worked well here. We did get an end site, #60 that gave us quite a bit of room on our patio side. They do try to have activities for the kids though, like a tractor ride, and a bounce house for the little ones. On weekends an Amish woman comes into the office with fresh baked bread and pastries for sale. This probably is one of the best locations for visiting Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame (HOF). As expected, when the new "inductees" are added to the HOF in July, the park is sold out.

This park is only about 8 miles from Cooperstown, and there is a lot more to see and do there than just the HOF. It is a very interesting little town with a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. All though many are themed with various forms of Baseball content, it is still an interesting town to explore. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Motorhome.

This park is under new management and it shows. Each site is well manicured, and I found it very easy to navigate. Large groups of tenters that had wide open space. Park is about 10 miles from local shops in Richfield Springs and Cooperstown and the Baseball HOF Museum is about 25 miles south. These folks are turning this park into a destination. We stayed here in a 42' Motorhome. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice level sites, very friendly staff. Pool was nice but the deck is in need of serious sprucing up. I peeked in at the showers and they were nice and clean. Laundry room was very small. Nice views from the campground, very close to Cooperstown which is a must to see. We golfed at Otsego Country Club- one of the oldest courses in US. What a gem! Don't let the fact that they are only a 9 hole course discourage you! The 9 holes were challenging, and the course was in great shape. We went back twice. On our second trip back there, it rained so we spent some time in the "clubhouse " which is an old Victorian type home overlooking the lake. The couple who run it were gracious hosts to a dozen wet golfers. They serve light lunches ( hot dogs/ sandwiches ) but they do not have a liquor license. The history of this golf course is all over the walls of the quaint living room and it was a delight to read all the articles and see the pictures. Really, a pleasant adventure! We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Motorhome.

Beautiful setting. Bathrooms and showers were basically "portable add-ons" but nice and clean. Laundry room had four washers and four dryers and were coin operated, but reasonably priced.

The owner was present and keeps a good eye on the place.

Cooperstown is about 30-40 minutes away (20 miles). It was raining heavily when we were there so the time may be less in good weather.

The grounds are very nice and well maintained. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

From Hwy 20, watch closely for the KOA sign near the mobile home lots - it's easy to miss. Follow the road up a couple of miles, through farm fields, turn right for another mile, and you'll be there. It's away from highway noise.

Walk up the hill to watch the beautiful sunsets.

Cooperstown is nearby and the Erie Canal is also very close.

Wet grass sites recently mowed that got dragged into our 40 foot RV. Our jacks sunk inches into the turf. It was pet friendly alright. Near us were three little dogs tied up outside all day while campers were not at their site. These dogs did nothing other than cry and bark continually. Very annoying to others!!!! Enjoyed very little about this campground. Cost was high and it does not represent a KOA very well. If this campground is a representative of a KOA, it won't be long before their memberships decline.
