Had a very large site in the woods on the lake. Campground is heavily wooded, but we managed to get Dish satellite signal. Facilities are outdated with 3 mens & 3 womens shower stalls for all 100 campsites. Roads in campground are potholed gravel and not well drained. Lots of boaters and fisherman use this park and many campers tie their boat up right at their site. Nice beach with adjacent convenience store. - Appleknocker
Jun 2017 - $23.00
This is a great area, unfortunately the restrooms / showers need updating badly. They are as clean as you can get them but not as nice as most of the other State Parks. The Dump station is really awful!!! It's on a SMALL dirt road that is one big puddle if it's raining. It's really too bad because the sites are large and wooded.
The beach area is beautiful and there are playgrounds galore! This could be a "premier park" if NYS would invest a few dollars in updating. The staff is very friendly and, accommodating. Wood is available at the check-in and, there is a NICE store at the beach that has supplies, good food and ice cream at a reasonable price.
We had the fried Haddock dinner for $10.95 and it was very tasty!
I believe ALL the sites have power and they are all spacious. The waterfront sites are GREAT!
Book early: this campground is 10 minutes from Rome, N.Y. and is quite busy in peak season. Even though the campground is quite near a big city, you feel you are in the country...quiet and peaceful! - saunts
Jun 2015 - $21.00
Very nice CG. This was our second trip at the same site. Many beautiful sites on the water, where we were able to have a relaxing morning coffee while sitting next to the water and watch kayaks and fisherman.....very relaxing. All sites that we saw were very shaded. Our site was huge and could have parked 4 30ft RVs in our site. The driveway was narrow with lots of trees but had no issue driving to and from our site. Site was fairly level and all packed sand, we've had no issues and CG also has a great beach within walking distance. We will go back again and again!!! - Garand1

This is a beautiful, well maintained resort. Most casino resorts don't offer many amenities but this one does. Would definitely return. We did disconnect our car but did not need to. - Jane-D100

This place is the first 10 on our journey. We loved it here. Easy in, great spots, everything worked. Very clean. A great campground that sets the bar for others to emulate. - KodiTzu
Oct 2017 - $40.00
We stayed here twice. Staff was fabulous even with us changing up days because of family emergency. Sites are spacious and extremely clean. Pet friendly. Shuttle to casino is nice. We ate at the steakhouse and that was good as well. Park is nicely landscaped. Would return for sure. - redhead3416

Jul 2017 - $43.00
Just a so-so RV park. Was led to my site by an elderly gentleman that proceeded to tell me how to back my 5th wheel into my site. Really overbearing. WIFI was basically nonexistent, and when you could connect, you were allowed 1 hr per day. Pretty sad. Picnic table was not much better than for use as firewood. All warped and rickety. There could be more attention paid to overall appearance. Attention to landscaping detail was nonexistent as well. Power, not exactly 50 amp as one would know it. not sure if we would go back. - RollTide150
Oct 2016 - $45.00
First off this is a beautiful campground right on a very nice creek, now for the downside. If you were to stay here during the high season, then the price for the site was OK. However since this is the end of the season to charge this high price with no WiFi or Cable is extreme. The cost was $41 per night with a $4 Heating & AC charge. The weather was beautiful with no need for either H or AC. It was off the beaten path and very quite. Because of the high price, we won't be staying here again. - Jack&Wanda
Aug 2016 - $44.00
I would have given this campground a 10+ if it had cable. We had a huge grassy site on a stream or whatever they are called.
The Wi-Fi came in great and out cell phones worked fantastic.
We would probably go back if the got cable in. The stations we did get were all choppy.
We were right across from the office which was convienient for me. - C and C

Stayed one night as we travelled through. This rv park is a real gem. Spacious neatly kept sites near a small beach. The owners were fabulous and made us feel very welcome. Services and amenities were great. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. - Wayne and Barb
Jun 2012 - $32.00
Consists primarily of summer seasonal and weekend visitors. Owner quite friendly, professional in front office. A bit difficult to find along local roadways. Signs to campground are limited. Campground is situated along meandering backwaters of a river, generating mosquitoes. Riverside sites are occupied by seasonal campers and are well shaded. The inside loop is sunny and grassy. Sites are fairly snug. All roads are unpaved gravel, with some mild potholes here and there. AT&T service was two bars at best. Electric and water hookups worked fine. We could not get any Wi-Fi reception at our campsite. Huge grassy area for play and games. A significant number of kids. Bathrooms were overused, hot, and steamy... Inadequate to handle the number of users. Compared to other campgrounds we have stayed at around the US and Canada, this one would simply rate as "average". Nothing bad, but nothing that special, either. - The Happy Traveler
Aug 2011 - $20.00
Very nice park, well kept by very accommodating owners/managers. Price is Passport America. Park is not too convenient to anything such as WalMart. Has waterfront for fishing, swimming and boating (boats for rent). - consort

Worst experience ever. We were suppose to have 50 amp service, but couldn't even get 30 amp. They kept blaming the problem on the electric company, but it was the way the pedestal was wired. It was not only my site, but with the rest of the group we were camping with, a total of 10 sites. Quiet hours were suppose to be from 11pm to 8 am, but other camper were loud way past midnight. Will never go to this campground again. - HR 2007
Sep 2010 - $1.00
While we did not stay here we took a drive through the CG to see what it looked like. The other posters were right on the mark. Almost all fulltime residents and not many other sites available to camp on. Would not camp here. There are others in the area! - norootsnow
Sep 2010 - $40.00
Campground was clean however, the workers were rude. Quite time is suppose to be 11:00pm to 8:00am but they had us turn down and off our music during the day. Then the told us we could face the music towards the river and that would be okay but they came down later and told us it was too loud again before 11:00pm. Have a gate key with a charge of $6 when you bring back the key you get your $6 back, one of our campers did not receive the key when they checked it however they charged them for it and would not refund the money when we checked out. Mostly seasonal people camp here and most are not friendly. Would not go back to this campground, it's not worth the money. - rozymat

Stayed at the campground for a week using PA. The campground is well maintained but very outdated. Bathrooms are badly need of overhaul but were clean. Many seasonal campers, but were well kept. Did not see any swimming area. WiFi signal was strong but all but useless. It was extremely slow. Internal roads need repair. Staff was friendly and helpful. - roybrody
Jun 2014 - $37.00
Beautiful campground, friendly staff, well-stocked camp store, and an actual beach with sand in the swimming area add up to a great camping experience! Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends when they are in the area and will most definitely camp here again and again! - DollyFulltimer

There was no shade for the tent site which was in the middle of the campground. Facilities were dated. Close proximity to Sylvan Beach Amusement Park. Fishing was good. - inthedraft8

We've been coming here for a few years now, and have enjoyed the updates. It's a pretty place, well kept and clean. VERY unhappy this year, we made our reservations 9 mos. in advance, when we arrived, much to our dismay, they had removed the water hookups and added a splash park right next to our site. We had to go buy 150ft more hose to get water, and listen to screaming kids from 9am to 8pm daily. We should have been advised of these changes and offered free cancellation or change to our reservation. - MeMe08
Sep 2011 - $29.00
Fairly nice place in the off season, very quiet and lake front sites are easily obtained. I imagine it might be a little crazy in the peak season. Sites are not well marked and confusing, some are low and will be wet/mushy in the rain. The town of Sylvan Beach is 2 miles away with lots of seasonal weeknight events, an old-time amusement park, and several restaurants. Good Verizon coverage. - silvertube
May 2011 - $25.00
Verona Beach State Park has a great semi rustic campground. It's extremely clean and has beautiful views of Oneida Lake and extensive trails. The sites right on the lake are especially nice. There aren't many utility hook ups but most, if not all, of the sites are very easy to access. They have a sandy shallow swimming beach, which the children enjoyed. The the town of Sylvan Beach, NY is very close and has several cute shops and a little amusement park. - Research2011

A real gem at the edge of Adirondack Park! The facility is a wide open space with shade trees around the perimeter. The park road is gravel and plenty wide. Sites are grass with pedestal conveniently located in the rear. Most sites are level, requiring no more that a 2" board or block to level. A few sites at the lower end are soft after heavy rain. Full hookups are available with 30 & 50 amp plugs. There are also sites with no hookups or electric only for boondocking or tents. Satellite access is easy and AT&T service is good.
The park has a recreation room available that is used for square dancing on the weekends. There is a plumbed restroom and a shower facility.
There is no web site for this park. The managers quickly responded to phone messages and were very accommodating during our stay.
Basic campground but a great bargain, convenient location and wonderful hosts. - Rod n Mary

Could be a nice campground but Mrs. owner was not friendly at all. How do you expect to work with the public when you have no respect for them. Sorry to say we will not be coming back here neither will the other two campers with our party. We had 3 sites and 3 campers and we all feel the same way about this campground. - Karen and Pat

All dirt sites, not much grass anywhere. Way to many trees, couldn't even see the sun. Old campground, permanent trailers there hadn't been cleaned up since??? and neither have there sites. Great fishing pond, but has very little access. - PETEALEX

We stayed over a full weekend, Friday to Monday. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Campsite was neat and the personnel were friendly and helpful. We had a river front site and it was very peaceful. We did not camp with children although there were quite a few there. - Doug Kraft

Great time. Wish we could have stayed longer with the group. Owners pleasant and accommodating to campers. Very clean campground. So pretty. Will definitely be back next year; hope they can get us space for a week. - Gloria Bear
Jun 2017 - $46.00
Site 47. In our opinion this was the best site in the campground, but most of the 3 service site are very good. We had 3 services. We were backed onto a beautiful river. There was an access to the water (just to sit & look at no boat ramp there) beside us. We will go back this campground again. Staff was very friendly. Quiet campground. Long weekends they have fun activities. What else can I say but "try it". You won't be disappointed. - Jaybejo
