This campground is a wonderful place for a family to enjoy the great outdoors and offers recreation for the family and a day-use area. The sites are fairly clean other than the fire pits not being emptied for the next campers. Neighboring campers are friendly and helpful and the campground is well maintained. I would recommend this campground for both extended and day-use. The only recommendation is for electric sites to be available. We camped at Delta Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

I hope this state park is not indicative of all NY State Parks. While we did see a few larger RVs, the interior roads are very narrow. The sites are large & mostly fully wooded. I think the park is over priced considering that you get no hookups at all. There is a dump station & potable water to fill your tank. Bathrooms are not filthy, but are far from the cleanest I've ever seen. The showers, on the other hand, are nasty--floor was dirty, shower curtains are mildewed. There is only one shower building for all three loops, & only 3 stalls on the men's side, actually not stalls, just 3 shower heads divided by shower curtains. There is a nice beach, although we didn't use it. I don't think we'll be returning. We camped at Delta Lake State Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Very pleasant. Waterfront sites are a few dollars more than we paid. Verizon cell coverage is good. Sites are all back-ins, gravel and dirt, and almost 100% shaded since you're in a forest. No hookups, but there is a dump station with potable water. Sites must be reserved via Reserve America but a few are held back for walk-ins (non-reservable). Heavily wooded campground on lake just north of Rome. Not all sites are suitable for big rigs, but as this was off-season and in middle of week, we were allowed to look for a suitable site and found several. Lots and lots of mosquitoes in the deep shade. Pricing varies by site with those on the waterfront being $19/night. There is an additional charge of $3 for Friday, Sat. and Sunday nights.
