We had a 50 AMP back in Site on heavy gravel. Most of the Park are seasonal. The seasonals are not that friendly, and are cliqueish. The staff is helpful and very nice. The laundry areas are not clean, and one on the hill by the pool smells horrible. The park is quiet at night. Some sites were very unlevel, causing Rvers to use blocking on their leveling jacks. The sewer hookup was at the rear requiring a long sewer hose! We would not drive the distance or return to this park for the cost per night. They charge too much for what you get. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Visited Howe Caverns, and it was a fun place. Shopping and laundry in Schenectady. Jonathan's Restaurant in Duanesburg has great pizza and salads!

We were looking for a place to camp for a couple of nights to break up a 10 hour drive from our home to our destination in Vermont. Depending on which direction you come in the entrance can be tricky for some bigger RV. It is a very sharp left turn to enter. Fortunately we have a little pop up. Our site was decent, pretty level, a little wet from recent rains, but shady as requested. Too close to the road for my liking but more than enough space. My disappointment set in when I went to use the restroom. I was told at check in that there were two bathrooms on our level. Showers, laundry etc were in one central location at the bottom. Okay, I can deal with that. The restrooms were a step above a pit toilet. They were flush, very old, smelled. One extremely dirty sink with only cold water, the hot water handles were removed. No mirrors, shelf, hooks. The majority of "campers" are Big RV's and seasonal. Some look like they have been there for years. Some well maintained , others pretty scary. The level below was for tents. It was packed to the brim. And the "campers" in my opinion were not educated in camping etiquette. Several groups/families together with a ton of kids. Great I love to see families enjoying the outdoors. However, the adults spent a lot of time drinking, were loud; did not bother to monitor the kids. Starting at 645 am all we heard was Mom mom mom or dad dad dad .... repeatedly. I wanted to say PLEASE respond to your child, clearly they need your attention. Our 2nd night while eating dinner the noise level was rising. I wanted to take a hot shower, but did not want to hike up & down to the central location. There is no parking near it. The staff is not friendly. We were warned about exceeding the 5 MPH speed limit. Yes we were going at least 7 mph. Most ride around in golf carts We ended up packing up & leaving early. I only recommend this as last resort if you need a place for a night. Definitely not worth what they are charging. Not a great place if you are a Pop UP or tent camper. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Tent Trailer.

The grounds felt more like a trailer park than a campground. If you want WiFi, they charge $14 per gig, and you can only get that if you call while one, specific employee is working. Otherwise "maybe tomorrow". The ground at my site was sloppy, and after sitting still for two days, my motorhome wouldn't budge. I called the front desk for help. After 40 minutes of waiting, I called again. The desk person was belligerent, despite having not bothered to even call the groundskeepers yet (which he then did on his walkie-talkie, took around 30 seconds). We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Follow camping resort directions on website to get there!!! Do not follow Google or GPS directions - low clearance bridges & railroad overpasses in the area. The staff was very helpful in making the reservations and during our arrival. Even though we were in a back-in site, we were able to drive through the site behind us so we didn't have to take off the tow dolly (already removed our van from the tow dolly). Frosty Acres is in a beautiful location. The trees were just starting to change their colors. We were gone most of the time visiting friends and family so we weren't able to enjoy the amenities this campground has to offer. During our week stay, it was pretty peaceful until Saturday afternoon when we arrived back at our site to a continuously, barking dog. The dog owners chose to ignore the noise and didn't do anything to stop the annoyance. Thankfully, they left on Sunday. That weekend, there were quite a few new seasonal folks setting up their locations. Hopefully, Frosty Acres will still have plenty of sites for travelers in the future. We would stay here again. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

A few extra miles up the mountain, but well worth the distance. A hidden gem, great staff, great showers, a well spaced site overlooking a large meadow/ballfield.

Events every weekend, usually with a band. Verizon and OTA TV both adequate, surprisingly. Would love to return if in NY! Offer W/E or fhu. Have big rig 50 amp sites, pool, beach, playground. A true resort. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

As previous reviews state the ride here is a lot of uphill riding but roads were good. I recommend using the directions on the web site because my GPS brought us in on a different route and the entry to the park is a turn that I could not make and we had to find a place to turn around. This is a quiet and clean park. Sites in lower lot are not level and in many cases your dump connection is uphill which makes dumping tanks tricky. I rated the site as bad in this review but that was due to the dumping situation. Other than that the site was very nice. The day we left I moved to a different site to dump tanks. We also had a power problem at our site but maintenance was there in a matter of minutes and corrected the issue. Very good service. Staff was pleasant and we heard the fishing (catch and release) was excellent in their ponds. The day we left they also turned on a new WiFi network which we were told would be a pay type system. We would stay here again but request a site with the dump connection downhill from the coach. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Not a very convenient location. Roads needed work. Beach which showed weekend only hours was closed on the weekend. Not enough washers and dryers in the laundry facilities to handle 5 loads. They were flying really old and tattered American flags that needed to be replaced. Landscaping was nice. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Good location to visit Albany and Saratoga. The drive to the campground is up, up, up secondary roads followed by a hairpin left turn (coming from the West) up a paved camp road. Not much shade on the lower level sites. Sites level side-to-side but not front-to-back. Electricity had open ground but maintenance repaired it quickly. Nice small lake but swimming closed. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearby Howe Caverns were a disappointment - long wait to get in, high fee and not much to see, especially after visiting Luray Caverns last year. Spend a day exploring Saratoga's main city park and downtown area instead.

The rate reflects Passport America. Call this campground or you could end up with your GPS taking you through a tunnel only 10 feet high. The staff was very friendly, but the phone rang constantly while we were trying to check in so it took us longer. The site we got was way up on a hill. There's a lot of long term people here, but that was OK. The site was OK except there was a problem with the 50 amp electric. The people in a large motor home next to us moved 2 times trying to get stable electricity. There is a mall and groceries not too far away as well as restaurants. Other people who are long term must find some other attributes. It was OK for an overnight but not a place I'd want to stay for long. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a bad place except for some ridiculous rules such as: Garbage must be in "clear or see through" bags or it will not be picked up, and you must provide proof of rabies shots for all pets. Sites are level but narrow. There was old dog waste on our site and no fire ring. Rate was Passport America. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is Passport America. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try anyway. We're pretty tolerant people. Bad choice. It had rained recently and our site was squishy. Levelers buried in mud. The site was very sloped. The park was difficult to get to. The GPS sent us through a 10' tunnel. Be sure to follow the directions in the Passport America book if you choose to go. It really isn't a park to go to for an overnight or two. Maybe it's great for seasonals but they weren't all that friendly. It is a beautiful setting: it's claim to fame. There were a lot of workers but none of them seemed to be interested in helping us get into our site. We made it into the spot fine but it just seemed strange. It's not like they were busy with other customers. Would not recommend. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Our rate was Coast 2 Coast. Would not recommend this park if you have an energy management system or use something like a Progressive surge protector because the electrical at this park is BAD! During the day we had 103 or 104 volts and could not run the air conditioners. Had the park electrician check the voltage in several sites for us the second day we were here and he told us they were aware the voltage was low. Said the only thing they could do was ask electric company to increase voltage. Park charges extra $5 a day for 50 amps. They did refund the extra $5 a day we paid for 50 amps when we complained about the LOW voltage. Do not approach park from the west as there is a VERY tight turn into the park if you do. Follow the directions on the park website. If you follow GPS you may be directed through a tunnel with only 10 foot clearance. Many of the sites have nice views of the lakes. Most of the sites are wide. This is an older park with many permanent residents. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate was Passport America. Very pretty location. This may be a great park for seasonal campers but it was pretty so-so for an overnight. The seasonal sites are level while pretty much everything else is on a series of sloping hills - one motorhome I saw had a 6" block of wood under one of the front levelers and their bottom stair was about 2 feet from the ground. We were put into the only level spot, a pull-next-to site which was nothing more than the shoulder of a gravel road with hook-ups next to it. No grass, no picnic table, no place to sit. If we had put out our awning, we would have been blocking the road. Two other over-nights were parked with us (nose-to-tail) and it was a tight fit. Voltage for the electricity ran a bit low (112-114V) but everything else worked fine. If you plan on going, be warned that the directions on the website are not correct - the mileage listed is too short for a couple of the turns. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
