This park is very unique. Everyone here including the staff and all the campers are nothing short of amazing. The staff are very friendly, the park is so pristine and beautiful, well manicured sites. We first came here by accident, only now we love it and it's our favorite campground. I have never stayed at a more friendly campground. Rules are inforced to make sure everyone has a great time. If you see a negative review, it's likely they created their own unhappiness. We will be coming back whenever we can. Yes it's that good. Super kid and family oriented. The new pool is great - just one more added feature to an already great place. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Howe Caverns nearby. Nestled in Heldebergs. Surrounded by farm lands. Great restaurants. Picturesque scenery in the campground and all around the area.

I wish I could give this place a good review. The view from the campground is picturesque and the fishing and frog catching are great for the kids however, the owners run the campground like a boot camp. There are extra fees charged for everything! The beach at the POND is overgrown with algae and small. The pavilion is small and no one seems to use it. Although the campsite was full, no one used any of the amenities. The store was always locked and you had to ring a doorbell and wait for someone to come. The owners were friendly on occasion but also rude and demanding at other times. To say they are strict would be an understatement. I have camped for many years and never experienced a more uncomfortable atmosphere. If bringing firewood make sure to bring a certificate of sale. It is STRONGLY enforced! We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the sites, the beautiful views and the amenities; good but somewhat slow wi-if, good phone signals for AT&T and Verizon, large grassy sites for open area and very pretty pond/lake. Staff was friendly. There were some problems created by a group of neighbors celebrating a womens birthday. We new it would happen as they began with shots early in the day. Owner came by at 12:30 AM and they left (kicked out) the next morning. We requested wood, and they delivered a more that sufficient amount rather quickly for a very reasonable price. They have put in a pool (wasn't"t open yet) and it was obvious they had their own ongoing process for improvements. We plan on visiting again, soon. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Cobleskill is about 8 miles and includes common in town amenities, including big box store, fast foods, and most other things. Howe Caverns close by and worth a visit, local museums open weekends.

This park is very pretty. The views of the Catskill Mtns are gorgeous. There's a pretty lake for fishing, swimming, limited kayaking. Very scenic and peaceful and family oriented. There's hiking close by. Great place to unwind. Easy access off I-88 (about 5 miles total). The staff is very nice also. I would have given it a perfect score except we were perpendicular and very close to 2 other campers. Just a tad too close; however, the views and cleanliness made up for it. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Just beautiful.... Very quiet, we set up on the hill with beautiful views. Our friends stopped in coming home from Vermont for a birthday BBQ. Owners and staff were great. They dropped off fire wood at the site for $12. used for two nights. The site was somewhat level needed some blocks. Overall we would come back. Maybe in the fall. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Walmart within 5miles so if you forget anything. We did not visit nearby attractions. We didn't have to. It was great just hanging out and cooking at the site.

This is a very beautiful place, views of valleys, open sky, the lake, just stunning. We had full 30 amp hookup but had to be out on an open, unshaded hill to get it. Even though leveling boards were needed and we were parked out in the sun, the cool night air here let us sleep without a/c, even in July. No playground or pool and the lake was a little dark and scary for swimming for our little ones. Many other kids fished the lake and rode bikes. This is a quiet and beautiful place. We used it as our base while sightseeing and attending a family reunion and it was fine. Pay attention to the directions on their website to turn 1 mile from I88 or you will find yourself making an extreme, uphill right turn at the other end of the road. We bottomed out there and we don't have a long overhang.
Bathrooms are rustic and clean. There are 3 horseshoe pits and wide open spaces, room for all. Nice folks. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

Too expensive. We arrived at 2am in the night for a road break, exhausted with the kids. Could not know where tent sites were available. We did not want to wake someone at that time and picked a free spot. The site was ok with a rotten and dirty picnic table. The owner came in the morning came to make sure we would pay: that seemed to be its only concern. When we packed and stop to pay, he said it was 35$, one of the highest price for tent camping we ever paid anywhere. He said that is the rate of that site for RV. How could we know at that late hour, exhausted? The context and the short length of stay did not change much to the price. He finally accepted to be paid 30$ cash. This campground is way to much expensive and we are very deceived by the administration attitude. Not recommended. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Tent.

We stayed on a spacious site with full hooks up with a beautiful view. The owners are new and very friendly. Quiet and peaceful environment. We visited the Howe Caverns, which was close by and drove to Cooperstown to the Baseball Hall of Fame. That was close to an hour away, but a nice trip and nice area. We also drove to the Herkimer Diamond Mine, which was about an hour and twenty minutes. Nice area to visit. The only negative if you want to call it that was a rule that prohibited use of AC, space heaters, etc. The hookups were 30 amp, so I don't see the problem and it appeared that it was not enforced. It was rather warm and I did use my AC. All in all a pretty good place. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
