Stayed at the campground for a week using PA. The campground is well maintained but very outdated. Bathrooms are badly need of overhaul but were clean. Many seasonal campers, but were well kept. Did not see any swimming area. WiFi signal was strong but all but useless. It was extremely slow. Internal roads need repair. Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at The Landing Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Beautiful campground, friendly staff, well-stocked camp store, and an actual beach with sand in the swimming area add up to a great camping experience! Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends when they are in the area and will most definitely camp here again and again! We camped at The Landing Campground in a Motorhome.
We had a nice shaded site in a mostly seasonal park. Brown water. Good cable connection. Friendly and helpful folks in the office. If water problem was corrected would return again. We camped at The Landing Campground in a Travel Trailer.
There was no shade for the tent site which was in the middle of the campground. Facilities were dated. Close proximity to Sylvan Beach Amusement Park. Fishing was good. We camped at The Landing Campground in a Tent.
Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $30.00
Oh my God!!! We stopped here, but didn't stay. Scenes of horror movies kept flashing through my head. This is definitely a SEASONAL campground. Your first hint is all of the rundown campers with attachments built on, and cars without license plates on them. "Deliverance" and "The Hills Have Eyes" kept popping up up in my head. We high-tailed it out of there. We camped at The Landing Campground in a Motorhome.
My husband and I were in the Sylvan Beach area (we were camping at another campground) and saw signs for this campground and decided to drive through to check it out. Upon entering we immediately noticed that 95% of the campground was seasonals due to all the "contraptions" that were built on to these, making them all look like they had been there since the fifties! One even had a very old minivan without a license plate sitting on its site. The road was a small dirt road and the campers were all lined up in rows with no trees, bushes, etc. separating them. The campground is on a small body of water with broken docks laying all over. This was one of the worst campgrounds we have been to and I am glad we decided to check it out before staying here. If you need to stay in this area and want to stay in one of the nicest campgrounds you will ever stay in, then go to the Villages at Turning Stone. Thats where we stayed and by their reviews you'll see why! We camped at The Landing Campground in a Motorhome.
