25 Parks near Three Mile Bay, New York
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Beautiful state park right on Chaumont Bay & Long Bay. 88 sites with 30 electric (30 amp). Spacious enough to park across the site to maximize the view and catch the breeze. No privacy but the view makes up for it. Ice and firewood available at the Ranger station. Nice place to kayak and play in the lake. Very family friendly with a very large playground. - Breezy2
Aug 2015 - $28.00
This is a great state park! The sites are all grass, some more level than others, and all are very good size. You can back in, pull in, or park cross-wise. We're a 40 ft., 4 slide motorhome; we could have parked it sideways in the site. Electric and non electric sites; water and dump station also available. Restrooms and shower were very clean and lots of hot water. Our Verizon MIFI worked very well, good cell coverage. There is a nice playground for kids, picnic area, boat launch, and fishing from the shore. Fire wood available at the office. We would definitely stay here again. - DiplomatTraveler
Jun 2012 - $32.00
A quiet campground located on a scenic peninsula that juts out into the Chaumont Bay of Lake Superior. Most of the sites are open and grassy with a few shaded options for tent campers. All of the site have water views and some water access. A popular fishing destination and only a short drive from several historic towns on Lake Superior. The campground was full the weekend we stayed there, but not all noisy. Clean and well maintained facilities (and recycling) made this a pleasant place to spend the weekend. - watsontravels
Jul 2009 - $10.00
This park only offers seasonal camping at $2500 for the season. Anything other than seasonal is not offered. - GaryCamper
Jun 2009 - $10.00
Great place and great people - campingking
Jul 2008 - $50.00
We are seasonal there. They still have waterfront sights available. Could not believe the view. Fishing is great, watch the big ships, great place. Very hidden and private. Owners are very helpful, they even let us use their boat. Marina there is free to customers. A ++ - campingking
Jun 2016 - $34.00
Whomever designed campgrounds in NYS apparently never saw an RV or a campground. Stayed at 1000 Islands State Park on Wellesley Island the night before I stopped here for four days. The paved site at 1000 Island SP was tilted about 7 degrees. The one here was worse. 5 orange blocks under each front wheel didn't even move the bulls eye bubble (site 035).
Did get to move to 029 the next day and lucked out. I think it is the only level site in the park. Site 035 not only was very unlevel, it was a mud hole. One orange block sunk below ground level. The shower houses were circa 1940, definitely in need of an update. That said, they were clean. Roads need a lot of work. Except for the main roads, they were either dirt, narrow and in need of repair with tight turns. Check-in staff was helpful. Other than that, the park is lovely. Treed and open spaces. A variety of options for W/E and basic sites. - eaf14131
Aug 2014 - $29.00
This is one of the nicest of the state parks we have visited. The view of the river is excellent, and the park is within easy driving distance of all the area activities. The restroom facilities are being upgraded throughout the park, but the process has not yet reached the waterfront facility. That facility is a bit tired, but well-maintained. The park has a nice marina facility, and fishing boats are available for rental. We have been here four times in the last two years, and we will definitely be back. - Alhub
Jul 2014 - $32.00
Great campground. Check-in painless and quick as we had registered online in advance. Our site was long and wide, level, shady. We did not camp on the waterway but very close walking distance. Beautiful sunsets. Busy but not loud. Location perfect to visit area attractions and travel across the bridge to Canada. The bathhouses had individual rooms for showers and bathrooms that were immaculate. We would definitely recommend this campground. - carol d
Jul 2011 - $32.00
We stayed 1 night and would not stay again unless it was the last resort. Water, electric and sewer worked, but as others have said, the long term residents seem to have it better than the transients. They far out number the overnight people. We were led to our site from the wrong direction. We were expected to make an impossible turn with our dully and 33 foot 5th wheel. Once we got to the site, it was an OK sized pull through on grass. It had rained and the site was pretty squishy. We were able to set up our satellite dish. - RVLive
Jun 2007 - $34.00
Only spent 1 night here, mostly seasonal sites. Was probably nice for the seasonals but not very friendly for ones just passing through. - sassy530
Jul 2016 - $46.00
I hesitate to write a review for this campground. It is so QUIET that I'd hate to have that ruined by an influx of campers with some other agenda. Merry Knoll is situated about 2 miles west of the town of Clayton, NY off of Rt. 12E. It is rather small and is populated almost exclusively by seasonal campers. The grounds are immaculately clean and everything is very well-maintained. Interior roads are paved but narrow in places. I was taken by golf cart to our site by the owner, then taken back to the office to get my rig. A short walk downhill takes you to a campground-owned deck overlooking the river. There is also a dock that is accessible to campers. Sites for transients are in an open area overlooking the river and there will be shade only very early or very late in the day. Bath facilities are available although we did not use them. It is clearly an older building but has been exceptionally well-kept and is clean. The best word I can use to describe the bath house is "rustic." There are laundry facilities which are likewise very clean. WiFi is free and works well. Rate reflects two in our party and Good Sam discount. Add $3 per day if using air conditioner. We would stay here again. - RamWagon
Jul 2016 - $37.00
Okay for an overnight stay, nothing special. - norm scherer
May 2014 - $32.00
Friendly and helpful owners but this park is not a destination facility. Good for an overnight or two if the state parks are full. Rate normally $37 for sewer, water, and electric and little else. - greenman60
Jul 2012 - $35.00
A very nice campground that is centrally located to all of the activities in the area. The owners are friendly and the camp is well kept. There was a playground for the kids, a swimming pool and the camp is pet friendly. Overall it was a positive experience and would stay again. - User2656
Jun 2012 - $35.00
We were greeted by lady in golf cart. Office is not in evidence. She led us around the park to the site she suggested. It seemed to be one of few available for overnight. Because of the tight quarters, we had difficulty pulling into the site as we were directed to do. When she asked someone to help, that person suggested, critically, that we should have unhooked before attempting the site. After getting utilities started, I checked the shower house and found them disgusting and requiring 25 cent payment. We used our own facilities. Trying to use a hairdryer while the a/c was turned on blew the fuse. This park is for permanent parking and cannot be recommended. - Yeager
Aug 2013 - $30.00
Campground is on side of hill next to St. Lawrence. Roads are paved, few narrow overnight spots are grass. Many seasonal campers. Had to back out of pull through, couldn't make turns in 37 foot motorhome. Power and water good, cell (AT&T) weak. Campground OK, but probably look elsewhere next time. - kmgulf
Jun 2012 - $30.00
The "office" is full of plastic storage bags. The manager did not approach us when we parked in the driveway. We stopped a car leaving the area to get advice on how to get out of this park. The park is on a hill and has few sites available for overnight guests. We used one of them to exit. We cannot recommend this for overnighting. - Yeager
May 2011 - $32.00
A very small park for RVs in transit. (Apparently four sites on grass only). Almost entirely seasonal and park models. The office is not staffed, but the phone is wireless and answered by the caretaker. Nicely located to Thousand Islands and other great attractions. - consort
Oct 2015 - $44.00
Would not recommend this park, go to Walmart and save your money. Only review in 2006 so I should have known something wrong. All the things this owner was going to do, has never been done. No WiFi, sites are terrible to try to level up, are a combination of gravel and weeds which haven't been mowed for sometime. Price is $44.00 (instead of the posted $24.00). My fault. Should have checked sites out before paying. - Bill Dudley
Jul 2006 - $25.00
Mostly seasonal sites, but welcome to travelers. Most sites are set up with services twined, and a large lawn w picnic tables between each set (you face each other's awning, instead of sewer h/u) but that means you need to drive forward into some back-in sites, not doable for a 5th wheel; check at the office how the site is oriented. Additional sites with pull-thrus are being developed in the open lot next door. Wireless is being added, according to the owner. Free use of boat launch with site, and dock space available for rent. Easy & quick access to seaway, and lovely. 7 mile walk to downtown riverfront. Town has many restored buildings, excellent restaurants, free riverfront concerts & weekly farmers market. Grocery 1+ block walk, ice cream stand next door. - readontheroad
Jun 2016 - $35.00
Awesome family campground with so much to do, great hosts, who are always there to help make sure you have a great camping experience! It is a pet friendly campground. They are constantly improving the campground. Great fishing awaits from the marina! It is close to shopping too. We have a seasonal campsite and we love it! You can walk around, drive a golf cart, go to the beach. They have restrooms, showers and laundry room. They have a brand new store that has ice cream and a pizza/wing restaurant that delivers. We are there as much as possible. It's our 2nd home! The camp hosts work very hard to satisfy their customers. We are very happy there! We've made many good memories there and look forward to many more! - Fleetwood7
Aug 2015 - $20.00
The campground is small, and both parking and driving through are very tight. However, there are a few pull through spots right near the entrance that are easy to get in and out of. There are a lot of seasonal residences, but they are nicely maintained, and not trashy at all. In fact, some of them are pretty fancy. Some yards were cluttered, but with vacation toys, not household junk. The customer service was outstanding. There is wifi for sale at a reasonable rate ($4/3 days) and it worked well most of the time. The verizon signal was strong, ATT non existent. I did not notice the noise mentioned by previous reviewers, but I stayed mid-week, so it may just be that the park fills up on the weekends. There is a nice store on the property. - KAP99
Jun 2014 - $38.00
Will never stay there again. Dusty and rough roads. Bare ground from digging sewer lines. Noisy. No quiet times. Reserved for a week but left after one night. Asked for refund and denied. This is more of a seasonal campground and not a RV Park. I do not have a good thing to say about Bedford Creek. - Ron Schweitzer
Jul 2016 - $45.00
Stayed the week of 4th of July. The sunsets are amazing. Yes there are a few bugs but they weren't biting bugs. We would definitely stay here again. - bthomforde
May 2016 - $51.00
"Not ready for business"
Reserved a week , may 14- 21. Campground opened on the 13th. Upon arrival waited without even being acknowledged to check in. Asian lady on phone would not even make eye contact, only when manager came in did someone even speak to me.
Got the site we requested, weather was bad but that is fine.
Cable not working, and unless we stopped and asked at the office, got no info. What we were told is they know it is broke , only part of island did it work on, no ETA for repairs or even suggestion to move to a site with working cable.
Water pressure problems from Saturday on, still not working well on Tuesday. Suggestion was to fill our tanks and use our pump.
Massive issue started on Monday with hordes of some sort of bug, looked like flying ants. Swarms of them all over the island. Could not walk the dog or even be outside without being swarmed. Difficult seeing as you tried to avoid the goose crap all over the campground. Which basically looked like a renovation project gone horribly wrong. Construction material, equipment all over, from large piles of stone to roofing projects half complete.
We pulled out today without even bothering to see about a refund for unused days. Bugs were so bad we drove the car out instead of hooking up to avoid the swarming bugs.
WiFi is free but worthless. You get one hour gratis, but it kicks you off after 10 minutes, and when connected it is extremely slow. We were one of less than 5 people on the entire campground so slowness was not do to heavy traffic.
Gives the area and all KOAs a bad name, won't ever go back regardless of the views. - Bill VDA
Sep 2015 - $45.00
Wow. Park on the lake. Great view. They have entertainment for children in the summer with wonderful staff. Wanted to stay longer, but wife had to leave. Buy your groceries before parking. Long way to store. - NC Travelers
