We stayed here twice. Staff was fabulous even with us changing up days because of family emergency. Sites are spacious and extremely clean. Pet friendly. Shuttle to casino is nice. We ate at the steakhouse and that was good as well. Park is nicely landscaped. Would return for sure. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Fifth Wheel.

This place is the first 10 on our journey. We loved it here. Easy in, great spots, everything worked. Very clean. A great campground that sets the bar for others to emulate. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

You can hop the shuttle to the casino from the camp, we opted not to do so as we are not big gamblers. We instead did some touring. Go to Fort Stanwix which is in Rome.

We have stayed here twice and it is my absolute favorite of any park so far. The spaces are wide, the park is beautiful, the amenities very nice. There is a free 24-hour shuttle to the casino which is only a mile down the road and plenty of little towns to explore nearby. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

Nice clean large RV park almost across street from Casino. Friendly check in and easy in out. The only issue is no place to hitch/unhitch except in the road. Nice amenities and right off interstate. We did not gamble but ate at a couple of the nicer restaurants in the smoke free casino and they were great. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

Check friendly and quick. Sites were nice and wide with a paved pad which was level and large enough. The length of the site was ok but we did have to park our tow vehicle across the front of the rig. All of the hookups work very well including cable 50/30 amp. Easy in and out and close enough to the NY Thruway making it convenient. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Fifth Wheel.

friendly staff - easy to find site- nice long sites. clean laundry room but needs more machines. Tried to purchase propane but was told the only person who could pump it was out on the grounds and they did not know when he would be available. Did not offer to try to reach him by radio or phone. Beautiful pool We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an attractive park located just a mile or so off the New York State Thruway. Our rate reflects the weekly rate. They do offer Good Sam discounts on shorter stays. This seems to be a popular park with families, as it has a swimming pool, fishing ponds, and large playground. The casino is nearby and offers free shuttle rides. The bathhouses were clean and modern. Our site was paved, but barely wide enough for our wheels to fit. We were able squeeze our car sideways behind our motorhome, but many who had larger trucks had to park on the grass. The picnic table sits on crushed stone. All the connections(water, sewer, electric) were well positioned in the center of the driveway. All this being said, the one negative was a big problem for us- overhanging tree branches. The entrance into the park and most of the interior roads have low, overhanging tree limbs which were unavoidable. We also had tree issues getting into our site and a neighbor scraped up his fifth wheel trying to leave. Especially Class A motorhomes- you will encounter this problem. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

The Villages RV Park really have their act together. My only complaint is someone should look at the trees and the height of some of the limbs. I had to scrape the side/roof with some pretty good size limb. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Obviously the Casino and Resort are the main attraction. There is a free shuttle that picks you up at the entrance to your village. Takes them about 15 min to get to you. We took a day trip to Oneida Community Mansion House. Interesting tour of an unusual group of people.

The park has good amenities. Free shuttle service to the casino and back. Pool is actually heated other than with the use of a solar cover. The things they need to work on, the park is becoming less and less big rig friendly. It is almost impossible to pull into a site without driving on the grass which is starting to make the sites torn up. Security is almost nonexistent, no security gate. The police are the only security and while you occasionally see them during the day you almost never see them at night. Our stay during the 4th of July, and I have no problem with some noise above and beyond the quiet time hours certainly understanding it is a holiday, but..... fireworks going off in between sites is getting out of control and no one addresses unless you call the police to come in. Also, music speakers placed roadside causing a disturbance in a large area. A pop-up, and nothing against a pop-up, was in their longest site they have but a very large 5th wheel gets put into a site barely long enough to fit and had to drive off the pavement in several spots to get in. We were in the 400 section which has the largest sites and had been trying for months, every week, to get our site changed to a larger site to no avail. They will not take your name or number to call you back if something becomes available. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Fifth Wheel.

Well thought out park where you are not crammed in so close to your neighbor. Roads and sites are paved. Good wifi and cable as well as other utilities. perimeter roads keep traffic from being right next to your site which is in a "neighborhood." Lots of ponds, good playground and open spaces. One of the nicest on this 4000 mile trip. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is RV's only, no tents are allowed. The landscaping is well taken care along with the facilities. Paved roads throughout the park along with paved level sites. This place was designed for RV's in mind. From what I could tell all the sites appeared to be full hookups. There are various "bus stops" throughout the park where you can take a free shuttle to and from the casino. The bus runs 24/7 but it was not loud or distracting. There is also a catch and release fishing pond with other water critters in it too (turtles, ducks, frogs). The pool was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed this park and felt it was worth the price paid. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground with a wide entrance and parking area. The roads are asphalt and a little narrow, but we had no issues navigating. The asphalt pads are narrow but long with good utility placement. The sites are nice with grassy areas between sites. Our site 437 had a few tall trees which inhibited the satellite from working well. The wifi worked well with a signal extender. Since the roads are a little narrow, we asked the camper next door to move his truck the morning we left to avoid any tail-swing issues. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

We decided to stop here overnight because it was conviniently on our route and it offered the opportunity to go out for a bite to eat in one of the casino restaurants. We used the shuttle from the campground to the resort casino, less than 5 minutes away. Not much shade but nice, wide and fairly long sites. The campground is very large and the sites are located in and around several loops. We travel in a 45ft coach towing a 25ft trailer so we are always looking for a long pull-through site. We got lucky to get site 401. At 90ft it is the longest they have. The park is well kept and clean. The walking trails offer a chance to stretch your legs and walk the dog. With the added bonus of the casino, if that is your thing, and restaurants, this is a place that is good for a one or mutiple days stay. We will return. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The casino has grown since the last time we were there and has table games as well as regular Vegas slots. However, it has to be the smokiest casino we have ever been in, and we've been in a lot. We had to leave because of the smoke. The buffet at the casino is okay. Played golf Pleasant Knolls golf course. It was a nice course.

Cable was snowy. Talked to front desk and said it was our trailer. Tried running 2 different coax cables to trailer directly from there connector to each of our 2 TVs, same problem. Not our trailer. Over air Clear. They charged our 1 night stay as 2. Supposedly corrected. Used laundry and after 1 1/2 hits of drying time, clothes still very damp. We told they were closed at 8 PM (even though no sign on building) even though the office next door was open until 9. Left with damp clothes and about 30 minutes left on dryers. Our site was pull through but the exit was a dead end road so had to turn around on narrow road so I could hook up. Poor planning. Had to clean dog poop from site. How this is a 10 rated park is beyond belief. Have stayed at other 10 rated parks and this is not one. Would never return if in the area. Poor customer service. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Travel Trailer.
