Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $30.00
Mostly seasonal with very few transient sites. Water is 50 steps down a treacherous staircase. Needed extension cord to reach power. Site level and excellent WiFi. Only 1 washer/dryer and town facility isn't good. Great staff! We camped at Brookside Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Request full-hookup sites with Electric, water and sewer. We try to provide quick, objective reviews of campgrounds. Brookside is on a cliff overlooking Lake Erie. Stayed there for a few days in late August 2011. Pros: Easy to find, level lots, reasonably priced. Cons: No pool, Nice beach but not easily accessible: Had to climb very carefully down a long set of steps. Couldn’t easily enjoy the view of the lake, except from very few sites. Did not check out the bathroom facilities. Recommendation: Decent place to stay for a night or two. We camped at Brookside Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
This was probably a nice campground at one time but it hasn't been updated in 20 years. Shared water/electric hookups and uneven lots make setting up a challenge. Woodall's lists lake swimming, but access is via a very steep, narrow wooden set of stairs that need significant repair. Beach is all rock with lots of trash, including dead fish. Play equipment is in midst of wood and other items. Baths and laundry are seriously outdated. On a positive note: has a great site manager. We camped at Brookside Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Above rate reflects weekly discount. Located right on the shore of Lake Erie, private beach approximately 30 ft down wooden stairs. The many permanent sites are kept very neat, transient sites are grass with no apparent attempt to make level, our front wheels were several inches off the ground to get level. Trees blocked our satellite dish, fair ddigitalTV reception of approximately 12 channels. Had good Verizon signal, very good free and fast WiFi w/strong signal. Very quiet during the week, but the campground fills up on weekends. Best part of the whole place is the very helpful campground manager. We might return if in the area. We camped at Brookside Beach Campground in a Motorhome.
Ok campground to stay at to visit area. Nice view of Lake Erie. Bathrooms and laundry need desperate upgrades. Transient site hook ups are a bit rough. Lots of mud and puddles when it rains. Not much to do in the area except to go wine tasting. Local campers can get loud on the weekends! Niagara falls is about 2 hours away. We might stay here again if traveling thru the area. The campground host will do anything he can to give you a pleasant stay. We camped at Brookside Beach Campground in a Tent Trailer.
