Nice park, I stayed in the section down by the river and had great wifi and satellite access. All sites in this side (there's another part of the campground across the highway) are back-ins and back to a forest with trails down to the river. Everything worked well, I would definitely stay here again. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

The North Pole is an interesting Christmas-themed resort which features two campgrounds, across the road from each other, and a motel. We stayed one month at the campground next to the West Branch of the Ausable River. Our inflatable double kayak really enjoyed this stay. We could have launched from the end of our camp road, but found the public park next door had even more convenient access and facilities. The North Pole had fairly recently upgraded its WiFi system, and we were able to utilize it almost exclusively during our stay. Cable TV also worked well. This park offers a pretty well-equipped camp store with adjacent liquor store. Beer growlers can be refilled at the camp store, and the park advertises the largest selection of craft beer in the area. A mini-golf course is located between the campground we stayed in and the motel. There is a charge for the course. Clubs and balls are obtained at the camp store. The park also offers a rec hall with ping pong and a pool table, along with other arcade games. The park swimming pool is kept locked when not in use, so an attendant must be flagged down to open it if needed. A very nice playground is across from the pool. Our assigned site had a nice wooded area at the rear, which was a quite pleasant spot to read or enjoy happy hour. As required in New York, this park recycles. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

We normally stay at a State (DEC) no-hookup campground but will treat ourselves to this full-hookup one on occasion. The 100 Acre Woods side is the newer section with 50A, pull-through, and vegetation separation between the sites. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The hosts / owners / staff are very attentive to camper's issues, even going so far as to have some bikers walk their rides to the entrance before starting them. Rates are for 2 adults and 2 children, if you have visitors it may be cheaper to register them as guests. The campground store has all the essentials. There's an A&W restaurant and ice cream shop within walking distance and the town park / beach is close by.

Our site was very large. There was a stream running in the back of the site in a wooded area. We would definitely stay here again. There were many things to do in the area. The site is groomed sand, fine dirt mix. The pad was gravel. The roads are mostly dirt with some gravel. The roads were groomed twice while we were there. The staff keeps up with cleanliness and maintenance. The store is excellent. They will guide you to your site and assist you in backing in or pulling through. We stayed in the 100 acres wooded area. It was not difficult to park and check in at the main campground. We saw a few larger coaches (40 ft) pulling in and they didn't seem to have any trouble navigating the turns or trees; they did disconnect towed vehicles prior to entering the 100 acres campground. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial drive is very close and worth the drive. High Falls Gorge is close also, easy walk and very beautiful to see. Nice cafe on site at the gorge. Visit the nearby chocolate store. Ride the Cloudsplitter Gondola. If staying a few days, the Olympic Pass is worth the $. If you like Bar-B-Que, eat at Smoke Signals in Lake Placid. Nice patio looking out on Mirror Lake.

Clean, older park but well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. There are two areas to this park, one side called the resort area and another area on the other side of the road called The 100 Acre Woods. The resort area is more your typical RV park with RV sites, tents and some cabins. Sites are close together and packed dirt/gravel, but well maintained. Internet was spotty, but we did get reception for our Verizon hotspot. We also got satellite reception at Site 12. Road in is so narrow that we had to move our car at least 6 times in order for other campers to back into their sites. The 100 Acre Woods area is heavily wooded and more like a state park type campground. Park is located close to hiking and all the Olympic venues at Lake Placid. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

Pros: good WiFi, close to public beach, well stocked camp store, close to attractions, sites well maintained Cons: Walmart parking sites on the river side campground, backup crew is not always helpful, pooling of water on this site which was one of the few without gravel, requested to be beside our friends who reserved/checked in at the same time but request was not accommodated even though there was a vacant site next to us for our entire 3 night stay. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Travel Trailer.

Nice place and area; we would stay here again. If satellite is important to you reserve the original side of the park; it appears about half the sites had good satellite access. Nice store and kayak rental was fun.

We stayed 10 days in the 100 acres part of the park which is cross the street and down the road from the office and the "resort" part of the park. The pool, store and river is on the resort side but the 100-acre sites are very pleasant and well done. We showed up a day early and had reserved a wooded site but when the manager found out we wanted satellite he graciously put us in a wide open site that was extremely large, level and beautiful. Utilities worked well but, strangely, the water lines are on top of the ground, not buried, so during the day incoming water is scalding hot until line is purged.  Had to purge with water hose several times. Shaded sites don't have this issue. Couldn't connect to Wi-Fi but they reset the repeater at the bath house and we received it pretty well for a week. It quit again but they reset it and it worked with no problems. Very clean and neat Park even in tent areas. Maintenance workers are constantly available. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Fifth Wheel.

Pool, huge playground, great store, mini golf, river view, river swimming upstream, rec hall. Spacing is close. Wifi was inconsistent. Nice staff. Well ran park. Separate fire pit area on many sites. 10 miles from the city of Lake Placid which was nice, so the area was not quite so busy. $2 one time dog charge, but in all fairness, they do maintain a pretty long, nicely wooded dog walk through the park. Kids would especially enjoy it here. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Get an Olympic Sites Passport. It is $35 a person and well worth it for the 5 or so activities it provides. Go to the top of Whiteface via the Veterans Memorial Highway. Take the Gondola up the ski run. Watch the ski jumping and ski acrobatics. All, and more included in the Passport.

Very nice park well taken care of. Lot's of nearby things to do many of which are onsite, including the swimming pool, an adult game room, along with one for kids. Canoe rentals plus fishing are available on the Ausable River which adjoins the property. The park has a resort section with all the amenities but closer sites along the river plus access to the office and well stocked general store with a large selection of craft beers, including some on tap sold in growlers. Across Rt 86 is called the 100 Acre Woods section, with larger more shaded sites and access to numerous hiking paths. Clean bathrooms, stable power and good cable TV which was appreciated as SAT usage is limited to few sites due to trees, especially in the 100 Acre area. WiFi surprisingly good at the resort side, but limited across the road. Very helpful staff always waving while passing by. An enjoyable stay while visiting the Lake Placid area. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the North Pole Rv Park. We stayed at their newest addition to the 100 Pines area about 2/10 of a mile up Rt. 86 from the main office, campground and hotel. We enjoyed 50 amp full hook ups with cable, 11 channels, in a level spacious site number 34. These sites are the newest additions to 100 Pines. Large stone sites with plenty of spacing side to side and rear from the neighboring site. Check in was fast and pleasant.

Small complaint is where to pull in, as you approach the office on Rt. 86 with having a toad on a dolly, being careful that there is enough room to turn and navigate. That in itself turned out ok, with the owner carefully directing me out of the front lot, then having someone meet us at 100 Pines offering assistance in taking our care off the dolly and storing the dolly on site. (We later saw two staff do all of the un-loading and storing of toad and dolly on a 40 foot class A.)

100 Pines is peaceful and quiet. All the newer sites such as ours, have light posts along the camp road lighting the way at night. North Pole literature mentions that Wi-Fi is available near the rec building/bathrooms/shower, but being 3-4 sites away I had a good signal on my cell phone, along with a strong cell signal too on Verizon.

This campground offers some of the largest and nicest pull through sites that I have seen in the little older wooded (pines!) section. However, I don't think these sites are full hook up. Our neighbors mentioned that previously they stayed up the road at a KOA but liked 100 Pines much more for the quiet and generous state park sized sites.

This campground is 11 miles outside of Main Street Lake Placid, about 2 miles from Whiteface Mtn. ski lifts and summer chair rides up the ski slopes and about 8 miles from the car ride up Veteran's Memorial Highway taking you to the summit of Whiteface Mtn. We can't wait to return to North Pole RV Resort! We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

I have stayed here two years in a row. This is one of my absolute favorite campgrounds. The campground is impeccably clean from the bathrooms to the sites. The store is the best I have seen yet. I don't think I have Ever seen such a collection of different beverages. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The location is ideal for someone like me with no toad. Next door is ice cream and burgers. A & W across the street. Several restaurants are within walking distance, as is a grocery store and the Post Office. The entrance to Whieface Mountain hiking trails are right on the property. It is just a short walk from one's site to the lake for fishing or kayaking. I definitely plan to camp here again, regularly. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

This CG has everything you want. The camp store is the best I have seen, food, gifts, rv supplies, clothes. They escort you to your site. FHU , gravel site with grass on either side. A game room , restrooms. The sites are raked after you leave and grass cut. The grounds are meticulously kept. No seasonals on this side so the park looks very appealing. A mini golf and pool with river access and boat rental. The park is quiet at night . WiFi and Verizon reception is good. We took rt 87 north and it is 28 miles off the exit. The view is beautiful surrounded by the mountains on all sides. We stayed in the resort section, but there is another section across the street and down the road a bit this is more rustic , no river access. The only con ; the sites are close together about 10 ft apart.. Would stay again. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.
