We stayed here for a week, over the 4th of July holiday. The folks in the office were friendly when making the reservation and during check-in. The area has had a LOT of rain the past couple months, but the sites in the row we were in had decent drainage. A lot of seasonal renters, and all we encountered were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We truly enjoyed this area - it is close enough for day trips to the Finger Lakes (LOTS of wineries) and towns along the Erie Canal. We also did a day trip and hike in Chimney Bluffs State Park. Another day exploring the area around Sotus Bay. The laundry facility we used in the park was spotless and in perfect working order. We enjoyed this park and would definitely stay here again.

Overall Rating:

I stayed here for 4 nights to move my daughter into college. As a result I wasn't at the campground much, and didn't take advantage of the facilities. It was a nice clean park with about 80% seasonal campers. There are only about 20 transitional sites, all pull-thrus. There was plenty of room for my 38' RV and truck. Electrical worked fine (I used 30 amp) and other hook-ups were convenient. No cable TV, not a problem for me, over the air not bad. I had difficulty with WiFi, but I don't believe it was the fault of the campground. I really enjoyed the area (check out Sodus Point), the one day I had to myself. The owner I presume, was very friendly and helpful. I will be making a few trips out here during the next 4 years and will likely stay at Cherry Grove. I grade it a 10 because it served my needs perfectly for the time I was there, all at a great price. Good experience all around. Thank you Susan! We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park for visiting the area. WIFI was an extra $7/wk for each device and well worth it. This is the best RV park WIFI we've ever had. I'd be happy to pay the fee at every park. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with level gravel pull thru. Staff helpful and friendly. Many seasonal units. Most sites have shade trees. Many activities for children and adults. Swimming pool clean and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers exceptionally clean. They do have an extra fee for AC use and for Wi-Fi. We would stay here again. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

The staff is exceptionally helpful. We had trouble with our satellite dish on our site and Susan went out of her way to rearrange things so we could move to another site. I also called 3 different times before arriving because I had to change my dates and she was extraordinarily accommodating. Very clean, beautiful, well-managed campground. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We had a long level pull-through grass site that was plenty big enough for our slides and awning. They do not have cable but we were able to pickup a few OTA signals and had a clear view for our satellite signal. The utilities worked well but they do charge $3/day for A/C or electric heat use. The Wi-Fi is extra after the first hour so we used our Verizon hotspot. The campground is easy to get to and easy to get around in with a big rig. They have a pool but it was closing while we were there. They are a Passport America campground. The host are friendly and we would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

A fairly small, simple park but we really loved the "ambiance", if an rv park can have one! We found the seasonal, older residents more friendly than many other campgrounds. It was flat, very smooth gravel roads, a nice pool, and a decent but small store. Its proximity to Sodus Bay was nice, since we chose this place to stay while boating there. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here on our way to the Rally in Syracuse. I had emailed the campground to inquire about availability. Staff was more than helpful and we enjoyed our say, even though the weather did not cooperate. It had been raining on and off for several days, but sites seemed to drain fairly well. The laundry facility was excellent and clean. Some permanent sites, but they were all very well kept, and we met one lady that lives there part of the year while doing our laundry, and she was very pleasant and helpful in giving us directions and things to see while in area. If I'm ever in this area again, this campground would be on the TOP of my list. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Although this is primarily a campground for seasonals, they are welcoming to those of us travelling through, and there is a large pull-through section available as well as back-ins for that purpose. We found the facilities to be somewhat dated but more than adequate, and the attractive and popular pool is well maintained and supervised. A highlight for us, was the delicious, hand-dipped ice cream that is sold at the office. We found this campground to be in a good location for sightseeing at Chimney Bluffs, Sodus Point and Oswego. We stayed six nights. Passport America, Good Sam and Family Motorcoach are accepted here. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground was just opening for the season. Very friendly welcome. Excellent water pressure, excellent Wi-Fi, good Verizon signal, easy utility connections. Good-sized and level gravel pull-throughs for transients. Family friendly with large swaths of grass and playground. Very rural location that was quiet. Close to cool lakefront town of Sodus Point and Chimney Bluffs State park. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground didn't seem as neat and clean as other campgrounds we have stayed in, but all utilities worked fine, no complaints. The campground is very kid and pet friendly. We arrived on a busy weekend and learned quickly to drive slow because of children everywhere. A "Soc-hop" was very well attended on Saturday night - adults enjoyed the music and kids danced. It is a distance from major roads, so is very quiet at night. Lots of seasonals, but plenty of sites for those staying only a few days as well. Sodus Point, nearby, is worth visiting - a beautiful area. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

The owner was very friendly and helpful on arrival even letting us in early because I had miscalculated our time of arrival. The park is nicely layed out with seasonals around the perimeter and dailies in the center with very level and nice sized sites. The electric and water was very good. The showers and bathhouses were clean and modern with nice showers. The area did not have very many attractions so its a nice park to relax and enjoy the weather. We would definitely return in the future. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We camped here for convenience to home as a getaway--manager took over property from her family and does everything and it shows--runs ice cream shop, too. Pool was clean and ready for use on opening Memorial Day. We stayed in a huge cabin with three beds in the back, rear exit, little toilet, kitchen, microwave, full fridge, uncomfortably couch, screens didn't work in some areas. Great activities for kids/adults and not too noisy. No place to fish at all, not convenient to any stores. We would return simply for the relaxation of the fire and friendliness. The cabins are 2 and rustic and need some updating as walls warped and critters/bees underneath and around. A/C provided and comfy during hot nights. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Campground Cabin.
