Arrived with no reservation (day after Labor Day) and there were plenty of sites. Our site backs up to open land to Lake Ontario plenty of space and hedge provides some privacy on one side. Very quiet! Beautiful lake views. Electric is good per our EMS. Dump available, no sites have water or sewer. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Better than basic. Not much here given the location... the park could offer more water activities and trails for sure. Missed opportunity. Otherwise a great place to stay away from the tourist trap that is Niagara Falls but yet still close enough to enjoy the falls. Only about a 15/20 minute drive away. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The trails in the gorge towards Niagara Falls are wonderful and less touristy! Niagara Falls (city) is very very very touristy but the falls area has interest and fun to be had. Maid of Mist delivers what they promise... bring your bike from the campground and park for free at one of the smaller parks along the Niagara River. Enjoy a great bike ride and get around efficiently without tiring. Highly recommend bikes!!!

We stayed at Four Mile Creek State Park while visiting the falls. The park offers a beautiful view of Lake Ontario, has large sites and was very quiet for the number of RVs and tents that were there. Be aware the store closes at noon on Sunday so if you need firewood get it early. If visiting the falls, show the visitor center your parking pass for the campground and they will stamp your parking ticket and you will not have to pay to park at the falls. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed a total of 5 nights at site 76 and 85, with 30 amp power. We didn't have water hookups, so we had to fill our fresh water tank at water faucets located throughout the park. There are dump stations. The grounds are very pretty and some sites have beautiful views of Lake Ontario. It was quiet in the park at night. The office staff is very helpful and nice people. The park is a great place to stay to visit Niagara Falls, Fort Niagara, the Aquarium, Niagara Discovery Center, and the beautiful and quaint town of Lewiston. There are several shower areas in the park, as well as washers and dryers at each shower area. They have very nice playgrounds for the children. We liked this state park a lot over the other rv parks near Niagara Falls. There is plenty of room between sites. The Niagara Parkway gives you easy driving to Niagara Falls and other sites. We would definitely return to 4-Mile Creek State Park if visiting Niagara Falls again in the future. Take your state park receipt to receive free parking at Niagara Falls. New York gives you free parking at all state parks you visit by presenting your state park camping receipt. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very large grassy well groomed park with very large sites. Be prepared to fill your water tank when you arrive. First section is more open with biggest playground and picnic area next to Lake Ontario (no swimming). Second section by lake has more privacy but only 30 amp sites. Second section in back is tent only, no power. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Niagara Falls. Maid of the Mist boat ride gives you the best view of the falls and great experience. You can you your site pass to park 4 miles down the road at Niagara Falls State Park and take free shuttle that stops at many scenic spots to Niagara Falls. Runs every 45 minutes in Summer.

We stayed 2 nights in site #232 a back-in site with E/W hook ups. This is a very spacious, grassy site which backs up to the lake, but the bushes are quite grown up so you don't get much of a view. Also, the water connection is 50-60 feet away, so we used water from our tanks. Check on this before you unhook. We only had Canadian cell service at our site, but if we went to the front check-in area we could get US 4G service (AT&T). The hot water didn't work at one shower but did at the next one I tried. Overall, this park was fine but not spectacular for visiting the Niagra Falls area which is about 20-30 mins away. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

I don't think there could be a more convenient CG to explore Niagara Falls and the surrounding communities and attractions. Others state to take the shuttle from Ft. Niagara Park to the Falls, but you get a pass for free parking at the parking lots near the Falls. Just get the lot ticket validated at the Visitors Center but be sure to show them your state park pass. The sites were level and spacious. Dual dump stations plus some throughout the park. Very quiet and oh...what incredible views on some of the sites! We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Check out Bandana's restaurant in nearby Youngstown, but don't neglect going to Michael's in the "Little Italy" section of Niagara Falls, NY. Also, head into Canada for some incredible views of the falls that you cannot get on the America side.

We paid $26/night plus $5/night for non-NY resident plus $9 reservation fee. The total for our 4 night stay was $133. Our non-premium site (233) was across the street from the premium view sites. Because sites are spaced so generously, we had a lovely (partial) view of the lake. Hook-ups included 50 amp and water (no sewer), worked perfectly. The mostly grass site was basically level. We had good Verizon voice and data reception and were able to obtain DirecTV signal. The park does not offer WiFi. This is a large, clean, well-designed beautiful campground. Staff and campers are very friendly and always smiling. It's a wonderful destination all by itself even before you factor in its proximity to the local attractions. It has lots of big, green grassy areas ideal for young and old alike. We very much enjoyed our time here and would delighted to stay again. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

It rained and was pretty cold for the first opening weekend in May. While the grass was lush and green everywhere, underneath was a lot of mud as soon as you stepped on the grass. (It had rained for 3 days). The sites were about 20 ft apart. The parking pads were concrete that had basically turned to dust, but at least they were islands above the mud. The showers were strange in that they sprayed straight out from the shower back wall, so you could not turn the water on without getting soaked, unless you blocked the shower head. I used the handicap shower which had a hand shower head. No charge for the shower. Hot water eventually. There were lots of big rigs. The roads are narrow and aren't designated as one way. That was good because often they were blocked by motor homes hooking up cars or trying to back into small spots. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in this campground for four nights as a base for seeing Niagara Falls, the gorge and bike riding along the Erie Canal Trail. We arrived at the end of a long day of non-stop rain and found our campsite (#238) with standing water and mud everywhere. We managed to get the trailer backed in and were able to get our entrance stairs positioned over the only spot that didn't have mud and standing water. All the campsites appear to have grass only and a dirt patch for backing your trailer in, which makes it bad for rainy days, but otherwise not too bad if you're lucky to get there when not raining. We had a premium waterfront site and the views from this site were outstanding. We could see Lake Ontario from our dining table and had an excellent view while sitting around the campfire. We visited the Canadian side of the falls as we were told that is the best side for viewing. The place is a carnival, with huge signs, music blaring and total commercialism. The walk down by the falls was lovely though and offset the experience getting from parking several blocks away down to the falls area. There were huge crowds of people everywhere, as I imagine it would be most anytime during the warmer months. We enjoyed Niagara gorge much better and took a hike on one of the trails that goes along the gorge. We had the place to ourselves. At the campground, we had AT&T service enough to use our hotspot for most of the four days we were there, with some breaks in service here and there. However, our brother and sister-in-law that we were traveling with, could get no AT&T 4G on their IPads. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We rode our bikes on part of the Erie Canal Trail from Tonawanda heading towards Lockport. There were some really pretty parts of this trail and options to ride in a couple of parks along this part of the route. However, the trail takes to the roads in a couple of spots. You ride along a fairly wide shoulder, but the traffic is pretty steady along the places we had to ride. All in all a great ride and would like to try other parts of the trail.

The Falls and fort easy to travel too. Only thing, be truthful with the guards going into Canada. We carry a small firearm, which we left at the campsite. We told him so and he added they arrested another couple who did not tell them. Also, you have to have a passport.

Beautiful grassy, flat campground with a well appointed playground in the center of the loop. Was great to see families enjoying and everyone starting their fires at dusk. The bathrooms are immaculate. The location is on the US side of Lake Ontario with beautiful sunsets with a very relaxing shoreline. Was perturbed with the $9 transaction fee for reserving through ReserveAmerica. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Expensive for a state park. It is very nice and the second time I have stayed here. On season is crowded on weekends so make sure you reserve. We wanted to extend our stay another day and looked online for a site and there were two available. We went to the office and they said they could not add it on for us until the next morning. The girl then informed us that they couldn't let one of the sites go the next day, as their boss had blocked that site for friends. That is just wrong and I will send a letter to the state concerning that matter including the name of the boss that told them that. We could have booked it anyway online but we found another campground to go to. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.
