2 RV Parks near Baie Verte, Newfoundland
Jul 2013 - $24.00
We arrived at this RV park without reservations and were only able to stay two nights as the weekend was booked up. The manager was nice enough to call another campground in La Scie and make us a reservation there. This park like most is filled with seasonal campers especially the weekend. We had a water and electric site long enough to fit our MDTand large 5er but unlevel. The park has a lot of kids and adults riding around on dirt bikes and ATV's. They do not have a dump site, but did come to our site and pump us out no charge before leaving. Another boil water before using park. - chiefneon

The rating would be 11 if I could. Fantastic spot. Backing onto water...gazebo...amazing playground. Very clean. Kids loved it. - motherof2plus2

We had a reserved a full-service site, but chose a 2-service site to take advantage of the spectacular view of the harbour...so idyllic. Check-in is very casual, just walk across to the gas station/convenience store once you're set up. walk to the fabulous inn for an oceanside view. Shop in the amazing gallery across the street. Plentiful hiking and touring in the area.
No cell reception, but great free WiFi...slow at peak times though. We drove a short distance back toward the main highway to make phone calls.
This is a gem of a place not far off TransCanada but watch for potholes if you have a big rig. - B and B

This municipal campground is in a large gravel lot behind the local K-12 school. The campground overlooks Green Bay and some of the sites have very nice views. You check-in with the convenience store across the street. Eight of the sites have full hookups, and five of them have just electric and water. The sites are fairly close together, but not crazy tight. There is a bathroom and (free) shower building that is clean, but not particularly glamorous. There is free wifi, which alternates between being very fast and incredibly slow, probably depending how many people are using it. We were told that they only allow four seasonal sites (which use up four of the eight full hookup sites), and the rest are for travelers.
Although the campground itself is pretty utilitarian the area is gorgeous and the people are very hospitable. In our first two days we had two different people encourage us to stop by and visit their homes. - chopchopbillygoat
