2 Parks near Cape Ray, Newfoundland
Aug 2016 - $18.00
Our stay at J.T. Cheeseman was good. The site was large enough to fit our 43' motorhome and there was sufficient space next to it to park our towed vehicle. We enjoyed going down to the beach to watch the sunset. The roads were very potholed (coming into the park as well as the road to the beach). Sites were dirt and grass with a picnic table. - pattic777

Surprised that this CG has not had a more recent review. Yet another great NL Provincial Park. Point lost for the gravel access road otherwise everything was just perfect. WIFI available near one of the buildings. 50amp service in the power loop.
A great place to stop if getting off the evening ferry or overnighting before catching the morning ferry. - Veebyes

Lovely park located about 10 minutes from ferry to Nova Scotia. It's basic with treed sites. Road into park is several kms, but worth it. Good bike ride to ocean beach and fishing. I like this park and will stay again. - camperme

Grand Codroy RV-tent Camping Park is located a short distance off the Trans-Canada Highway as it passes through Doyles, NL in the Codroy Valley. Located a short 30 minutes drive north of the Port Aux Basques ferry terminal, it is ideally located for those getting off or about to get on the boat to/from Nova Scotia.
The Grand Codroy is easily the nicest RV park we stayed in during our month-long tour across and around Newfoundland. Its spacious sites are spread around nicely landscaped grounds and both the campsite and facilities are spotlessly clean. Its sites are back-in but they utilized the looped drive we were on to enable us to back almost straight in with lots of clearance for our 43 ft Class A. The site was long enough that we had plenty of room to park our tow car in front. The sites were spread out with trees and lush green grass all around.
Of all the RV parks we stayed at in Newfoundland, this is the only one I have given a 5 out of 5 rating. The only negative is they are 30 amp only, which could be more significant in hot weather. - Ron_H

Wonderful park, the best we found in all of Newfoundland. Located in scenic Codroy Valley - the sites are very spacious and well laid out, easy to back into. Very friendly, helpful hosts. Excellent WIFI. We came back for 5 nights at the end of our trip here to enjoy this park. Excellent drinkable water (not always the case in Newfoundland) - Kincardine

Over 6 weeks on the island. Stayed here for 5 nights total coming and going. Absolutely the best RV park we stayed in. - User2658
