2 Parks near Cape Ray, Newfoundland
Jun 2016 - $18.00
Surprised that this CG has not had a more recent review. Yet another great NL Provincial Park. Point lost for the gravel access road otherwise everything was just perfect. WIFI available near one of the buildings. 50amp service in the power loop.
A great place to stop if getting off the evening ferry or overnighting before catching the morning ferry. - Veebyes

Lovely park located about 10 minutes from ferry to Nova Scotia. It's basic with treed sites. Road into park is several kms, but worth it. Good bike ride to ocean beach and fishing. I like this park and will stay again. - camperme

I loved this Provincial Park. There's an amazing dune filled beach with piping plovers, a large scrambling creek, and a lake. It was a birders paradise. Our site was level with gravel and grass. There was electric, but no water hookups. This was the land of upscale small travel trailers. The park was extremely well managed (sites were tidy). I've never seen a head ranger making sure that restrooms were clean. They weren't just clean, but spotless. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the the nature interpreter was eliminated this year due to budget cuts so we missed learning more about the ecology of the area. - barkingbear

We have been travelling across Canada for over 2 months and This campground is the best we have stayed in. The sites are very large and very easy to get into and are level and private. The owners are friendly and helpful.
This place is a jewel in Newfoundland. - Arlene T

Stayed here on our way across Newfoundland and on our way back to catch the Nova Scotia ferry. We only stayed here one night each way but were impressed with this very nice clean park. We stayed here in a 38 ft fifth wheel and was given a gravel level back in site that we did not have to unhook on. The ladies at the check in were very friendly. This park is only 1 km from the highway and approximately 30 minutes to the ferry. - Irish2

We agree with all the previous posts, well laid out park, very spacious, the gravel sites level and the water was good. Not all the sites have sewer, but there is a dump station available. The 2 bathhouses were clean, but the laundry was small, 3 washers and only 1 of the 3 dyers was working, they say the parts are on the way to fix it. We were asked when we arrived if we would like a site with a view or wifi.....we chose the wifi, and it was good from our site. Lots of room to walk the pup. Hard to find anything wrong with this park. It is the place to stay while waiting for or getting off the ferry. You might need reservations if you come in the caravan season July or August. We will stay here again. - Living the Dream
