Lovely park located about 10 minutes from ferry to Nova Scotia. It's basic with treed sites. Road into park is several kms, but worth it. Good bike ride to ocean beach and fishing. I like this park and will stay again. We camped at J. T. Cheeseman Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

I loved this Provincial Park. There's an amazing dune filled beach with piping plovers, a large scrambling creek, and a lake. It was a birders paradise. Our site was level with gravel and grass. There was electric, but no water hookups. This was the land of upscale small travel trailers. The park was extremely well managed (sites were tidy). I've never seen a head ranger making sure that restrooms were clean. They weren't just clean, but spotless. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the the nature interpreter was eliminated this year due to budget cuts so we missed learning more about the ecology of the area. We camped at J. T. Cheeseman Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Liked this park a lot and the location is unbeatable for the ferry, about ten or 15 minutes away. Rate is with a senior discount but bumped back up by the $10 reservation fee. Very nice modern restrooms and showers. Park has waterfront recreation beach areas and is worth a couple of days' stay. We could not get any TV channels on our antenna or a cell phone signal but did get Wi-Fi at a picnic table near the office. Note do not take the Cape Ray exit off the Trans Canada, look for the park sign. However the town is worth a visit to drive out to the lighthouse. This was one of the best parks of the 14 we visited during three weeks on the island and would definitely stay here again. We camped at J. T. Cheeseman Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Includes $5 for Provincial Park fee and electric only. Arrived just before midnight from the ferry; the office was open, we were guided to the site; modern and clean bathhouse; friendly staff; be aware that when you turn off TCH 1 the road is paved but quickly turns to gravel for the remaining 1 ½ miles. Large, level gravel sites. We camped at J. T. Cheeseman Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.
