Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Rate of $33.00 total per night, no discounts, site 4. This park has the feel of a state/providential park. Dirt roads, lots of trees with each campsite being in its own little alcove. Roads are hard packed gravel single lane one-way and adequate in size to access site. Pads are crushed gravel with a little grass/dirt for patio area. Sites are wide and long enough for comfortable outdoor use. Utilities, full hook ups, are all on left side and within easy reach. There is a "Boil Order" in place for the water before drinking. Campground offers free WIFI (did not use) at site and has bathrooms and showers, did not use although the building from the outside looked well maintained, clean and modern. Each site had a picnic table, fire ring and trash can. Our site did allow for satellite access, some sites will be blocked by trees. Verizon and T Mobile worked well, no Sprint service. Staff was friendly. We spent 2 nights here and would return if in area. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Motorhome.

Reserved full service and got it. WIFI does not work. There is a semi-permanent sign saying it is temporarily out of order. Young staff don't seem to be able to anything about it. Had a level spot with small trees on both sides of us. If using Garmin GPS, it points to across the street from actual location. Keep your eyes open for sign on left side. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

IF you were going to go see the ship that was used in the movie Outlander, situated at Lark harbour, forget it. It has been removed.

With three strikes against, this park is out for us. Poor signage at the road caused a missed approach and a couple mile backtrack. The water on our serviced site required boiling. The advertised WiFi did not work. And the young people staffing the office seemed not to understand our concerns and were powerless to do anything about the issues.

A gravel road to a large grass field with sites backing to a row of trees was easy to navigate. Our site, simply a part of the grassy field, was fairly smooth, level, plenty long, but rather narrow. We connected to the convenient 30 amp hookup, but chose not to put the contaminated water into our rig. There was no sewer on our site, so we used the convenient dump station. The WiFi never worked. The bathrooms and showers were adequate. We did not use the available laundry facilities.

The price was fairly low at this park, but it still didn't feel like a very good value given the obvious shortcomings. We hope that this is a short-term situation and that others have a better experience here in the future. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Motorhome.

Power and water were good, and showers and restrooms were clean and large. Wi-Fi worked very good except for some downtime due to a power outlet problem. My only issue here was that I reserved a full hookup but when I arrived was told there were none available. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Motorhome.

Our site was a gravel back-in that had a downslope in the front so levelling was required. It was big enough for an RV and toad and was fairly private as there is plenty of trees between sites. All the hookups worked fine. No cable TV or any channels off the antenna, so set up the satellite dish and no problem from our site (#7). Wi-Fi is being set up, but wasn't working yet during our stay. Park is divided into three sections: full hookups near entrance, electric and water around perimeter of field (middle), and unserviced sites in the back. Some roads lead down to a cove off Humber Arm - very picturesque. We would stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Motorhome.

A decent park off the Trans Canada highway; quiet and relaxing. Staff were younger and not campers. It provides the basics and its attraction is its location to Corner Brook, a 10 min. drive. Will likely stay again. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Motorhome.

This is fine for an overnight, with a large, modern restroom building with plenty of facilities. Our site was on a very large grassy field that backed up to the treeline, so needed to walk through wet grass to reach the road and washroom. Got one TV station with antenna. No Wi-Fi. This is very convenient to Trans Canada Highway and Corner Brook at Exit 7. Go to Exit 6 to find a big shopping area with Walmart and Dominion grocery. Go into town to visit the Newfoundland Emporium, a fun place with resident Newfoundland dog. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Motorhome.

Full service, partial service, and no service sites are available. The full service sites are most popular; a few partial are used; and it looks like only a few no service sites are ever used. The park has a large area which includes a large open field for games. The park has all the assets but comes up short for service and upkeep. It probably is still the best park in the area. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Travel Trailer.

Site was a gravel pull thru and level. Noticed some other sites were not very level. Campground has a playground plus some trails. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Motorhome.
