Good value for the price. Actual cost was about $23.25 when you take in the conversion from Canadian dollars to US dollars. We opted for a electric & water site, but since we were here only overnight, we didn't even hook up to water. As mentioned in previous reviews, the roads of full of potholes, some of the worse we've seen. Our back-in site was level but the 30-amp electric was a bit on the weak side. Two uni-sex bathrooms / showers and a handicap accessible restroom & shower which were clean but lacked enough hooks to hang your stuff on. Two washers and two dryers, each was $2. Internet was OK, but we were close to the main office. No over the air TV. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed twice here this summer. The water was not under a BWA (Boil Water Advisory) on the first stop, but failed the test on the day we arrived on our second stop. The transits area is open and easy to park after you get through the rest of the park and its potholes which demand a slow speed. We would stay here again. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove an all day loop by going north from Gander and then clockwise around the coast. Newtown has a small historical area worth seeing. Plenty of good coastal views. Also drove to Glovertown to see a museum with details about the Resettlement program, and on the Salvage (nice views with a hike to the top of hill above town).

Rate of $33.00 per night total, no discount offered for full 30 amp hook ups. Roads throughout the park are dirt/gravel mix and in dire need of repair, full of large potholes. While most of the roads are wide and easy to traverse, some are narrow and tight, depends which section of the park you're in. Upon our arrival, the very friendly office clerk gave us several options on sites and suggested we go and select the one best suited for us before registering. Appears a moderate percentage of the sites are used by seasonal RV's. Our site was a back in, somewhat level with all utility hookups located in the middle left side of the coach. Our 30 amp service, water and sewer were easily accessible and worked as designed. This site had a clear view of the SW sky for easy roof mounted satellite connection. Some sites are very open while others are in an alcove and very heavily shaded. Sites are gravel and adequately long and wide enough for use without encroaching on your neighbor. Most have a picnic table and some have fire rings. Scattered vegetation (grass/weeds) very overgrown and in need of cutting. There are three individual unisex bathroom/shower rooms. All were simple, clean and appear functional. Laundry room is small, clean and has 2 each washers and dryer, $2.00 each per session. There is a small playground for children. Verizon and T Mobile worked well, no Sprint service. We stayed 2 nights and would return here again if in the area. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park was good to stay in. Spacious sites. Mostly back-in. Easy to get in and out. Gander Aviation museum was excellent, and we toured Twillingate area from this location. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Slow down when going in - quite a few potholes left on purpose to provide speed bumps!

We stayed here while we got our truck serviced in Gander. It was conveniently located to all shopping areas. We were given a choice from a number of vacant sites, and chose site 32. It was in a wooded section with hydro and water. Very private and quiet. There is a dump station on site and sites with FHU in an open area well suited for big rigs. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Roads had a lot of potholes which certainly kept traffic moving slowly. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. We would certainly stay here again when in the area. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park/motel under new owners as of May - very helpful people! Actually have good, drinkable well water (not common in Newfoundland) and good Internet at most sites. Washrooms a bit dated but very clean and functional. Good warm showers! Large open area for big rigs - we had a watr/electric back-in with good screening from neighbors. Would recommend this to other travelers. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were very pleased with this campground. The electric/water sites are shaded and somewhat private . The full service pull-throughs are closer together. There are no potholes at this time. Sites are somewhat gravel but are level and roomy enough. Staff was most helpful, even making phone calls to get needed information. A nice stop on a nice town with shopping and restaurants nearby. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed four nights, adding one night to our planned stay of three nights. Service has been friendly. They didn't have a full service site the first night so gave us one with water and electric. We were told that when site 65 opened up we could move there in the morning and then come to the office and settle up for our stay. Once on the site we extended the stay as the internet was good and electric also good. It rained while here and our site is fine but the roads are muddy. There are potholes in the main entry roads but in the campsite areas the roads are better, still sloppy with muddy water. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Gander Aviation museum is worth a visit. I wouldn't recommend staying in Gander and driving to and from Twillingate as it is at least a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive due not to the distance but the speed limits which top out at 80 KPH (50 MPH). On the way to Twillingate is Beothuk Historical Site, a Native American village site, the last of the Beothuk people died in the 1820's.

We stayed here two nights. Park was nice with good power and water. Wi-Fi worked well. Shower and restrooms were clean. The roads in this park are terrible. The potholes must have gotten worse since the previous review. When you have signs printed saying "if you splash water when going through a pothole you are speeding" tells me they have this issue all the time. The owners should drive a motorhome over these holes rather than a pickup truck to see what they can do to the coach. I also was disappointed that I reserved a full hookup but could not get one when I arrived. I was told some people had not left when scheduled so I could not get a full hookup. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is much improved from previous reviews. The potholes have been filled with gravel and it it is still bumpy, but passable. We took it slow in our 38' motorhome and had no trouble. There is now wifi at the sites! The signal was strong and steady - a rare treat! Utilities were good. We extended our visit here, and we would stay here again. We camped in this park for three nights. This park like most of the campgrounds in the area has many pot holes in the park. We had a pull through site which was a level crushed rock site. The water pressure and power appeared to be okay. There appears to be many permanent residents. The campground is a little difficult to find so if going there be sure to look for the very little blue camper signs on roadside posts. The Internet was pretty fast but a weak signal, and the connect was dropped many times. The person at the motel desk, where one checks in was friendly. The sites are very close together but acceptable for a limited stay. I would stay there again when in the area. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly greeting in the modern motel office where you can sit for a Wi-Fi signal. Our site was wooded but very un level so we ended up pulling in forward and using blocks. Small washroom a bit of a walk from site but adequate. Many puddles in bumpy road due to rains. Ok for an overnight, and Gander has plenty of services. Don't miss the recently updated Aviation Museum, well worth a visit. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This quiet and easily accessible park is about 40% nicely treed sites; the balance (including all the fully serviced sites) is little more than a gravel parking lot (more accurately, multiple gravel parking lots). The site assigned to us was reasonably level (and all the other parking lot sites looked to be equally spacious and level) and wide enough to easily park our toad beside our entry door. Speaking of sites: before paying we walked into the park to see our assigned site (mostly because of the condition of the road, wanted to see if the entire park was maintained as poorly; if it had been we would have left, and boon docked at Wal-Mart) only to find that our assigned site was already occupied. We were given the adjacent one. The interior roads are INCREDIBLY ROUGH. A tire-eating pot hole every three or four feet; we crawled at less than 2 mph and still our coach (36' pusher with 22 inch wheels) rocked violently from side to side. Lots of cupboards got rearranged during the short drive from entry to site. The park does not offer in-rig Wi-Fi. The park is, however, connected with small motel and Wi-Fi is available near/in lobby. Park is far enough from highways and arteries that nights are quiet, peaceful and dark. No locked gate or security but because of the location (and a goodly number of seasonal campers) we felt very safe. We stayed here for four nights; we would stay here again ONLY IF no other nearby full service park were available (want good roads and in rig Wi-Fi). No in-park laundromat and the single commercial laundromat in Gander (hard to find) has a per-load cost of 2.50 to wash and 2.50 to dry (do your laundry elsewhere). FYI: there is a superb Speedy Auto Glass outlet just down the highway from the park that I highly recommend if you need glass service. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here since it was centrally located to see the Kittiwake coast. Management is great. Wi-Fi was very sporadic and not dependable. Several seasonals in the park but clean and well kept. We would stay here again. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient to the Trans Canada Highway. Most sites are gravel and fairly level. Sites are narrow. Pull throughs require disconnecting the towed vehicle, but will fit a 45 footer. We had a 30 amp site, but the voltage fluctuated so much we unplugged. At the time we were drawing minimal current, but all the other pull throughs were occupied and we had the last in the line. If the electric had worked, I would have rated it an 8. The Wi-Fi works, but the signal at site 1 is very weak. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.
