2 Parks near Port Au Choix, Newfoundland
Aug 2016 - $30.00
This was by far the best place we have stayed since we arrived in NL 3 weeks ago. This campground is a gift to anyone who travels to the area. The bathrooms and showers are immaculate, very very clean. The whole area was clean and taken care of with pride by the looks of things. Checking in when we arrived was more than anyone could imagine, as the guy (walking towards us from doing his chores and offering a handshake) was not one bit shy to strangers and was also so full of information about the town and things to do, we knew this was going to be a great stay. This guy was full of so much information that we decided to extend our stay for an extra 2 nights, as he offered us but with no promises to get us fresh seafood, and he did. But he made one promise to us, and that was as he said it himself "the best WiFi in the park" and he kept that promise as it worked great. Nowhere else on the island did we enjoy our stay as much as we did here, and I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to this area to stay at this park. - Newmanmichael

We stayed here while travelling the island. Power was great, 118 volts. Great level site. Sewer dump site at entrance, with easy access. Not available at campsite.
I recommend to anyone who doesn't want the bells and whistles. - wearecanadian

I can't believe there were only 4 other campers here (2 RV 2 tent). Sites are level and face the Gulf of St. Lawrence. There are about 20 water/electric backin sites and about 20 un-serviced sites. There is a dumping facility. And, the Wi-Fi is free AND good (at least from my site, #10).
The only negative is that it seems the "locals" like to cruise through the park to see who is there.
BTW...cash only! - itchyfeetx2

The Sea Echo Motel has 10 RV electric/water hookups available behind the motel for $20CAD per night. There is a low barrier fence and then Point Riche Road is right behind where the RVs back up to. There was only one other RV there the night we stayed, if many sites were occupied, it would probably be quite tight. - pattic777
