Overall Rating:

Rate of $34.00 per night total after KOA club membership discount for full 3 - way hookup, 30 amp. Previous reviews are accurate. Our site 100 was a back in site, somewhat level with water and electric conveniently located midway down the left side, however sewer was located beyond the rear of the coach and required a second sewer hose extension to be able to use. This is a large park accommodating all types of camping, many tent sites and definitely caters to families. Many activities and toys available to entertain children. Park fronts on a lake with an on-site beach. Roads are dirt/gravel and in some areas tighter than others. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. Did not check out the bathroom/showers. Many trees throughout the park, some sites secluded while others are more open as was ours allowing for satellite access. Both our Verizon and T Mobile phones had a useable signal, no signal for Sprint. Park is in a great location for a base to explore the surrounding area, two towns within a few minutes' drive and of course Gros Morne Park. This is a very busy park, we would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.

Okay KOA inside Gros Morne National Park. A few back in 50 amp sites which we used. Back in and pull thru 30 amp kind of level full hookup gravel sites. Lots of other options for small rigs or tents. WIFI is barely adequate, pick your hours. Nice store and lake with walking paths. Would stay here again. Water is good and you can get free firepit for your site. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.

Seems reviews of this campground are definitely based on location. We were in a very clean 20 amp electric/water site that backed up to a lake and it was awesome. There was an issue with a cracked electrical plug and it was fixed immediately-great service! The site was spacious, private, wooded but definitely much more fitting for a smaller rv. The open field where the Class A's and trailers were wasn't as attractive. There was a well stocked camp store that was run by very friendly camp hosts. Great place for kids with a nice playground, bouncy pillow, planned activities, every day and water toys at the lake. There was also an evening activity for "adults only" that is not to be missed - great fun after a day of traveling! Yes, adults get to play too! We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Westbrook Pond Fjord Tour - AMAZING! It's a 2 mile walk through the countryside to get to the dock but plan on extra time to take pictures. There is a small cafe at the docks to purchase food before or after your boat trip. Visit Norris Point - go to the Aquarium and watch the fishing boats come in to the harbor. Visit Rocky Harbor - drive to the lighthouse.

I would rate this campground mediocre, as it is basically a parking lot, but I also don't think there is much more to choose from. For a KOA I would say it is poor. Staff at arrival were not friendly and I felt pushed through as they seemed in a hurry and as far as amenities the surroundings did not encourage sitting outside to enjoy, as there was nothing to enjoy. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a pull through site, but the sewer connection was on the back edge of the site - and it was about a foot high...so needless to say, hard to drain once we connected our longest sewer hose we had with us. Basically a parking lot, no scenery and absolutely no grass, not even much for tenters. Not a lot of room between you and neighbours. However, friendly helpful hosts and Gros Morne is a must to visit. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a mountain you have to go over before getting to the camp, watch for construction - at the bottom of the mountain around the corner a bridge was out and we had to go around - my brakes were pretty fried by the time we came down that mountain in the rain...

We had read before booking that the 30A sites were more private - and they were, but they aren't a great option if you have a large rig. The interior roads to the area near the lake are pretty tight, and getting into the sites are pretty tight too. The 50A sites with sewer are in an open field, but it would have been a LOT easier to get our rig into them.

This would be a great park if you have children - it seemed that everyone else staying there had children... and our site (2) was very near the play area. For us, it was a bit noisy... We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the open pull-through area. Access was easy with a big rig. Got DirecTV. Gravel roads were without potholes. They have several loops with private long back-in sites that were well maintained as well. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.

$36 CDN for a large, level, private back-in site with 30-amp electric, water, picnic table and fire pit. Other site configurations are available, including full hookups. Interior gravel roads were well maintained. The grounds, my site and the washrooms were very clean. The free Wi-Fi was useless (even though the signal strength was very good); 63% packet loss meant that nothing worked, even in the late morning when most of the overnight campers had already left. I got very good Telus cell reception at my site. The office staff were friendly, but put me in a site that already had another camper in it... apparently someone was told to move into that site, but the staff didn't update the computer, so it thought the site was empty.

As seems typical with KOA, it's MUCH pricier than other options (especially compared with $18.60 for sites in the national park), but when you need hookups, it's the only option. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Tent.

We made reservations a few days ahead thankfully, because the park was full and very busy when we arrived. It was a weekend and the weather was lovely. Lots of families with children enjoying the varied activities in the park. Our site was FHU and in a gravel area near the front of the park. There were many other great sites with lots of trees and privacy. When we stay again I will request one of these sites. The park and all facilities were extremely well maintained. The owners were helpful and very visible during our stay. We would recommend this park and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was an enjoyable stay with a very private tent site. Unfortunately the ground was impossible to put tent pegs into. We had a camp fire pit and the picnic table, electricity and water. They had a nice store, and cool jumping pillow for kids. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Tent.

Park is the best place to stay when visiting Gros Morne if you need electric and water. We stayed in the two way hookup area and used the dump station as the three way sites are basically a parking lot while the two ways are wooded and more private. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.

Convenient, spacious site in the core of the Gros Morne Park area. Great for local site seeing. The campground seems well maintained. Probably the most level site we have encountered on our trip. Subtle delination of your site with yellow rocks (we had a back-in 30A full service site). Adeuqate site with a good tree buffer behind us to separate us from sites on the other side. Friendly, helpful staff and the cleanest, most efficient laundromat we have seen on our long journey. Wi-Fi was spotty one night but generally good. A great site for exploring Gros Morne, We spent 3 mights here but needed more! We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.

A dust bowl with very slow and limited Wi-Fi. Password expired 4 hours after registering and 1/2 hour after office closed for the night. Did not get Wi-Fi again until office opened in AM. Very tight sites and noisy kids. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Motorhome.
