Grading on the Newfoundland curve and it earns higher points because it has good water (no BWA and we had higher than 45 PSI pressure and had to regulate it), good power (I could make coffee and the voltage remained above 115 V), and good Verizon signal. Strange feeling to be in a small town and yet feel like an urban campground after camping in so many rural locations. Yes, the male owner is not very sociable - the female owner will go out of her way to help. We were parked near the front and it was gravel, but it was well-levelled gravel, no mud, and a good base to explore (see tips). Our area had no vegetation between campers but there are secluded sections if you have a small rig. We would have no hesitation staying here again. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to the "Kitchen Party" at the Ocean View Hotel for Dave Shears - the best $5 cover charge for 3 hours of fun. We drove to Norris Point and took the ferry to Woody Point to walk around the small town for the afternoon before returning - we met artist Christine Koch at her studio. Her fantastic work hangs in Gros Morne NP discovery center. There's a Fiber Arts fine gallery in town, also.

Easy check-in, courteous staff / owner. Since we were there only overnight, we didn't hook up water. Level gravel back-in site. All utilities easily accessible. Clean shower / restroom. Actual price, converting to US funds was approximately $30.65 which does include the tax. Wi-Fi a bit weak. It kept disconnecting, but was able to get and send emails with just minor frustration. We would stay here again. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Walk into town (15 minutes) and have dinner at the SunSet Cafe. Great service and great home-style food. Very reasonable priced.

Campground is close to the national park, which is a good thing, but that's about it for this park. First the staff were incredibly rude. I think he is possibly the ownly rude person in the entire province. Newfoundland is beautiful with friendly people, but not this owner. After you get past your friendly welcome, you realize that you are spending the night/week in a gravel parking lot with 50 of your newest friends. There is not a tree to be found and you are on the road, so if privacy is what you are looking for, check out another campground up the street. If you're still good with your friendly welcome and the lack of privacy, than the lack of water might get you. There is only a trickle at every site and this is normal for this campground. We have a low flow shower head and even that struggled with the lack of water pressure. I won't even get into the wifi that couldn't download and email or the countless cars and trucks that fly through the parking lot/campsites. Beautiful national park, but stay somewhere else. Not worth the cold welcome, close spots, lack of water pressure or absence of any useable wifi. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We chose this park as our base for exploring the National Park and surrounding area. There are many sites in the park for all sizes and types of RVs and tents. Many sites in the trees would be too small or tight for a big rig. There's a large pull through area which is used by caravan groups. We chose #13 in the front section, a back-in, level, gravel site. Wifi was sporadic at times. Reservations are probably a must during the busy season. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The RV section of this park is a big gravel parking lot with easy access for big rigs. Although some of their pull-thru sites are larger, our back-in spot felt pretty close on all sides for a 37' MH. The water, 30 amp, and sewer connections were very convenient. Free WiFi was fairly reliable, but throughput was quite slow. The cold-water-only laundry was reasonably priced. We felt it was a pretty good value for the amenities offered at this price. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Central location for visiting Gros Morne National Park. FHU sites are gravel, quite level, "parking lot" style. W/E options are screened in the trees, but a lot of wet areas around those sites. Spotless restrooms! Very helpful staff! On-site laundry, strong WiFi - occasionally just drops out - but right back on. No water issues - on city water. Walking distance to some stores/restaurants. Pet friendly. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Take the boat tour on West Brook Pond in Gros Morne! 3k walk each way to the boat thru interesting bogs. Walkway is gravel or boardwalk. No pets allowed on the boat, so leave them in the rig. Fantastic tour of inland fjiord!

A large dusty parking lot, some sites non-serviced in the trees. WiFi worked ok, but poor location. You have to drive to everything. We moved up to Cow Head to camp, as it was closer to the water. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our campsite was in the overflow area, but was fine since we were only staying a few nights. Clean facilities. Laundry cost was a bit confusing since each machine took a different combination of coins. 3 washing machines and 4 dryers. Dryers were for 5 minutes a cycle. Plan on 3 cycles for mostly dry clothes. Facility is within a good walk of Rocky Harbour. Easy to get to and out of. Recommend. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This private campground has both full service and E/W sites. The full service sites are located in two open areas where the RV's are lined up in rows on a gravel surface. The E/W section is much nicer, though only a limited number can accommodate big rigs. All have gravel surfaces for parking your rig (though most units use at least some leveling blocks), with a grassy section that includes a picnic table and fire pit. The best part is that all E/W sites are separated from each other by trees, providing seclusion and privacy from your neighbors. Depending on the E/W site you choose, satellite may be available. No cable or antenna TV is available. Even with a WiFi extender, internet here is slow and unreliable. Washrooms are clean and have free hot water showers. Ice and wood are available ($) and there are on-site laundry facilities. Recycling is of refundable products only. Diesel and propane by the pound, as well as a Home Hardware, are available down the road from the campground on the way to Rte 430. Rocky Harbour has a bank, several restaurants, a fish market, but no grocery stores, only convenience stores. The price quoted is with a 10% GS discount. The 8/10 rating is for the E/W sites, not the E/W/S sites. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate shown is with Good Sam discount. Our site was a gravel back-in in the "RV lot" which is a large gravel lot with both back-ins and pull-throughs. There are more private spaces available, but they have electric and water only. All hookups worked fine. No cable TV or channels off the antenna, but satellite TV should work fine from most of the "RV Lot" sites. Wi-Fi worked fine although it got bogged down by Skype calls. Laundry had 4 washers and 4 dryers and worked fine. There are some picnic shelters and a playground. The noise level from the kids in the picnic shelter could have been toned down a bit the other night, but other than that it has been quiet here. We would have no hesitation staying here again if in the area. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is convenient for touring Gros Morne area. Wi-fi was "being worked on" both times that we stayed here. It worked ok in some areas, not in others. ATT phone had reception. The laundry room was clean. Some of the sites, mostly the small ones, are more private. The big rig area is a large open gravel area, but it has easy back in sites and pull thrus that are all very level. No fire pits allowed in that area though. We would stay here again. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The full hookup sites are the least attractive sites in the park.  They are fairly narrow, and the sewer connection was so far back we could not use it with the two hoses we carry.  There was a lot of standing water after it rained, which happens frequently here.  There is another, "private" area, some with water and electric, which is much nicer.  Some of these are large enough for big rigs, but not all.  We didn't use any of the facilities while we were there.  One big plus:  we had three nights paid for and wanted to leave and move north after two.  The owner let us move that night to later in the week, since we wanted to see more of Gros Morne on the way back--without a cancellation fee.  I would stay here again. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
