Overall Rating:

Fantastic location for exploring Gros Morne trails. Very friendly and helpful host. Clean, hot showers. Clean bathrooms. Water and 30 amp electric worked fine. Stunning view from our trailer. Site quite long, easy to back into. This is mostly a gravel lot with some grassy bits, but who cares with that view!! We camped at Water's Edge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate of $25.00 per night plus tax for 30 amp electric and water only, there is a "Boil Order" in place for the water before drinking, No sewer dump available on site. Closest sewer dump is 11 miles back, free and just a few hundred feet off the highway. Easy access and clean. Not all sites have 30 amp electric, some with 20 amp and water and some water only. The RV Park is located just off the shoulder of the highway. Every site borders the highway on one end and the bay on the other end. There are no roads, the park is one large relatively level lot of crushed gravel. Sites are well marked and separated by a small barrier. No shade, totally open. Each site is extremely deep and adequate in width to allow for comfortable use of slide outs, awnings and outdoor camping without encroachment on the neighbor. The office offers a very small store with a few basic items to include fishing items. There is one single bathroom and one single shower room. The rooms are not fancy, the shower is a residential type plastic shower stall with lots of hot water. Both rooms are functional and clean. Although right on the highway, traffic noise was not really a factor. Verizon and T Mobile worked well, no Sprint service. There is a fishing dock. Whales frequent the bay. The manager/owner is very hospital and willing to please. We would stay here again. We camped at Water's Edge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Family run park with Level back-in sites right on Bonne Bay, beautiful views. Good wi-fi is available, the 2 wash rooms are keep clean, and with hot water. The father and son team here are very nice and accommodating. This is a basic campground, with no frills, it is right on Rte 431, but the traffic really didn't bother us. There is a boil water warning in the area so bring drinking water with you. No sewer or dump station, come with empty tanks. But with that said, this would be our place to stay when in the area. We camped at Water's Edge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Great location to visit Woody Point, there are restaurants and local entertainment around town, boat tours and a foot ferry to Norris Point available here. The Discovery Center is 10 minutes away, the Tablelands about 15 minutes. Visit Trout River, a small quaint town, the interpretation centre there is worth a visit. Grocery shopping is very limited in the area, so stock your fridge before coming.

Overall Rating:

Nice little park - excellent waterfront location - watched whales feeding from our camper window right in the bay! Used a 20A site - GFI kept popping during heavy rainstorm... Water is under a "boil" order. Use the dump station in the GMNP about 10 miles before you reach the park. Owners JUST installed satellite internet during our stay - WiFi good near the office, marginal away from building, but they were trying to correct that. Sites quite close to the road, but minimal traffic at night so no issue with noise. Would certainly stay here again. We camped at Water's Edge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Your best choice for visiting the southern part of Gros Morne National Park. Water’s Edge is only $20/night. The National Park Campgrounds are $25.40 plus $7.80 per person daily entrance fee (per person) for nothing except a place to camp buried in dense trees and bugs. All of Water’s Edge sites are 20 feet from the waters edge with a beautiful view of the south arm of Bonne Bay. Back your trailer in and your back window is overlooking the water, pull your motor home in and your front window has the same view. There is some highway noise as the campsites are about 50 feet from the highway, but the highway does not have a lot of traffic. There are 3 or 4 tent sites on a grassy area for $15 as well. No dump station though. Wi-Fi available at library in town. We camped at Water's Edge RV Park in a Motorhome.
