Nice little park - excellent waterfront location - watched whales feeding from our camper window right in the bay! Used a 20A site - GFI kept popping during heavy rainstorm... Water is under a "boil" order. Use the dump station in the GMNP about 10 miles before you reach the park. Owners JUST installed satellite internet during our stay - WiFi good near the office, marginal away from building, but they were trying to correct that. Sites quite close to the road, but minimal traffic at night so no issue with noise. Would certainly stay here again. We camped at Water's Edge RV Park in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
Gros Morne National Prk discovery Centre about 2 miles down the road. Community of Woody Point is very pretty!
Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $20.00
Your best choice for visiting the southern part of Gros Morne National Park. Water’s Edge is only $20/night. The National Park Campgrounds are $25.40 plus $7.80 per person daily entrance fee (per person) for nothing except a place to camp buried in dense trees and bugs. All of Water’s Edge sites are 20 feet from the waters edge with a beautiful view of the south arm of Bonne Bay. Back your trailer in and your back window is overlooking the water, pull your motor home in and your front window has the same view. There is some highway noise as the campsites are about 50 feet from the highway, but the highway does not have a lot of traffic. There are 3 or 4 tent sites on a grassy area for $15 as well. No dump station though. Wi-Fi available at library in town. We camped at Water's Edge RV Park in a Motorhome.
