Hot tub. A Hot tub. A Hot Tub. A Hot tub in December!!! Open until 10pm. You have me sold! But really - The place is really well kept. There is a nice little livingroom area with a TV and a Christmas tree. Lots of board games. Heat!! Bathrooms are clean. Showers could be better but they were clean too. I like the location. Lots to do just a mile or two down the road. - Londonandrews
Nov 2017 - $3.00
Stayed here for a week with our Thousand Trails membership. Nice campground with abundant campsites but members are allowed to lease a site annually, therefore there are a lot of sites in use without owners occupying them. A lot of personal landscaping and even storage buildings on some sites. Not my idea of "resort camping." Campground personnel are very nice and helpful. - Dedra C
Sep 2017 - $1.00
We stayed here for 3 weeks and the park wasn't bad, not the best but for how large it is, it was just fine. We used the pool everyday, some days it was cleaner than others. We cleaned it ourselves a few times. The park is full of year round folks who are very nice. Volleyball in the pool every weekend. The staff is amazing, very helpful. Tons of golf carts everywhere at all hours. Our site was in the back in lot B near the storage area and there seems to be a lot of people coming and going from up there all night. We were also on a hill pull through so we didn't have any room to sit outside at our site. Both AT&T and Verizon signals were strong. - Nikkirk7

Tanglewood is located in Forsyth County, NC with easy access to I40. The Campground has only 44 sites and all sites have full hookup including cable TV. There are many walking/riding paths in the park and even a dog park near the campground. There are many wineries nearby as well as many fantastic restaurants in the area. A great place to explore or just kick back and relax. Campers only, no tents. Some of the sites are not level enough for Class A and Class C motor homes so check with the park before making reservations. - Gaff
Oct 2017 - $33.00
Checkin was easy with parking for 2 RVs available. We were sent to the campground, where a friendly host met us and escorted us to our site. Site 32 was on loop 1, and is on a slope. The sites are asphalt and would be difficult for a motor home to level. It was ok for our travel trailer, and this was disclosed prior to booking. The sites are set among tall oaks. Bathhouse was clean, and secured with a keypad combination. Wifi was spotty at our site. US Cellular LTE and Verizon internet worked well. A multi use asphalt trail backs up to the campground, with easy access to mountain bike trails. - 4 in the family
Oct 2017 - $33.00
After reading reviews we were a bit concerned but visiting family in the area it was the closest park. It was wonderful! We got the only pull-through site which was much longer than our truck/trailer and pretty level. Some sites are not very level front to back so be sure to ask for level site. Beautiful trees shade the spots but don't interfere with roads or site accessibility. Championship golf course nearby with reasonable green fees. Close to shopping. Lovely wooded walk to a stable nearby and botanical gardens. We could have stayed longer if we hadn't been heading back home. We'll be back! - Catsinatrailer

Jul 2017 - $61.00
We booked a spot at Lake Myers for our first test run with our 5th wheel. I noted on the online booking that we were first time campers. Glad I did this, the manager called us to say that the original spot they were going to put us in was a great space near the pools but may be tricky to get into. We were then put into spot D-17. This was a great spot that allowed us to pull-through since no one was in the spot beside us. Our spot was at the bottom of a hill, so it was a bit hard to level it perfectly. The roads and campsites are definitely tight to maneuver, especially with an F-250 and 30ft 5er.
I'd say at least 85% of the park are permanent sites. The girl at the gate was very nice checking us in, but none of the neighbors spoke to us at all. The men's bathhouse in the D section was clean (according to my husband) and the pool was nice. There was always a good mix of music playing at the pool, but not enough chairs. The pool wasn't very crowded while we were swimming, but every seat was saved with a towel or goggles so we had to just put our towels on the ground. Never had any issues getting in with the gate code.
We drove by the original site we were supposed to be in and realized we made the best decision to move. Due to it being a one way road with an odd angle to the side road, we had no idea how we would've gotten our camper down there. Overall, it was ok for a first time experience, I just wish we could've been closer to some other weekend campers instead of the permanent residents so we may have been able to talk with some other folks. We couldn't find any free wifi and did not pay to use the park's service so I cannot say whether it's worth the cost.
Would not recommend for larger RV's. The sites are entirely too cramped to accommodate large vehicles. - Lcdsp911
Feb 2017 - $58.00
I checked in on a Sunday and they have a box at the gate where you pick up your reservation papers with site number and the code to get in gate. But it was not there and you cant get ahold of anyone.I knew my site so someone that stays there let me in.Poor management! So when I talked to the manager about all the issues I was having she got defensive and aggressive. Can you say unprofessional. And maintenance was getting frustrated at me cause their breakers kept blowing and acting like its my fault. I have never stayed in a place where the people who stay there are more helpful than the people who get payed to help you cause you are the customer. And that place stinks so don't step out and take a deep breath in the morning.I WILL NOT GO BACK!!! They need to overhaul their staff all the way around.I have a lot of camping friends and w are a group and a community so I will inform them all. - Lucky camper
Apr 2016 - $30.00
Reserved a site for a 5th wheel. Site barely big enough for a pop-up. Mostly permanent sites. Roads are terrible. Unbelievable amount of golf carts driven by kids that will run you over if you get in their way. Circuit breaker kept tripping. Needs major upkeep. Pools were ok and fishing was good. - Ozzy Osman

Jun 2016 - $40.00
We spent a week there (Had Reservations, but came in on a tow truck)
Accommodations made for our RV and the trailer we were pulling with a site about 100 feet long. We enjoyed our Salisbury vacation stay while getting the RV fixed with recommendations from Carolina Country Campground's owner.
Very quiet & clean campground being rehabilitated by the new owner after previous neglect. He'll make a go of it. Woods, lake, pool playground, store, convention facility, they have it all. We'll stay there again. - Paul Dobbin
May 2016 - $45.00
This campground is way overpriced. Sites are grass and get very soggy when it rains. WiFi only worked outside our trailer and even that was spotty. There is no cable. Did not use the showers as it would we would have had to walk back to our campsite in the soggy grass. Did look at the restrooms, there were okay. Had planned to stay 2 nights, but changed our minds because of the price. - srqcampers
Nov 2015 - $45.00
This campground was just reopened and the new owner is making a lot of positive improvements to the park. We stayed for the entire week of Thanksgiving so as you might imagine it was pretty quiet with only about 10 sites occupied during the week. It was quiet and clean. No junkie sites. Salisbury is just down the road about 5 miles with all the shopping you'll ever need as well as historical tours. We stopped by in the early fall one weekend while the park was pretty active and there was a lot of things going on. There was a big horseshoe tournament that day. Kids were paddle boating in the lake and we were able to speak to a lot of people in the short time we were there. We're thinking this may be our spring and fall park when we transition to full-time snow birds in the next year or so. You'll like Carolina Country CG, trust us. - Jim White Statesville NC

Sep 2017 - $42.00
First off, this place is not Big Rig friendly. Internal roads are narrow and washed out gravel with major ruts that look like they haven't been attended to in a long time. Lomg term guests park in the roadway making it impossible to pass them until you ask them to move. Management needs to enforce some common sense on what they allow folks to get away with. I will say that the staff was very friendly when checking in. The term "Resort" is a carryover from when it was a KOA in that they have a pool, playground, etc., but it's not what I would consider a resort. I do not know how Good Sam came up with the rating they have on their site, but they obviously haven't been there. Our site was one of a very few that was fairly level. This park has potential and if the roads and sites were attended to it would go a long way towards getting better reviews. - DaDoSA

What a dump. Washed out roads & ruts. Muddy sites and too close. If you can avoid this place do so. - SC RVer
Jul 2017 - $44.00
Overnight stop convenient to I-40. Mostly shaded and hilly with erosion problems but looks like they are trying hard to keep things up. We were in a freshly graveled fairly level pull thru site below the pool area - easy in and out. Good hook ups and basic cable. WIFI was slow but Verizon signal was good. Could not get a Dish satellite signal. - Minnie Pearl

Apr 2018 - $46.00
Nice campground, very nice owners. Cash only and you must pay in advance. Swimming pool and area for children to play. Not to far off freeway no traffic noise. Sites and road are gravel our site was fairly level. They have cable tv. If you want to set up a dish mention this, only a few front row sites can accommodate this. I did find it a bit expensive. - 2hapicampers

Easy in and our but not a lot of interstate noise. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Interior roads were easy to maneuver. Sites were a little unlevel. - Betty & Scott
Nov 2017 - $38.00
The nicest lady in the world checked us in. I believe she was the owner. We were visiting family in the area. Since it was a distance to their house from the campground, we probably won't stay again, but only for that reason. Grandkids loved the playground. Our pull-thru site was very convenient, and easy to pull into and out of. We bought firewood (a nice-sized bundle for $5) and enjoyed the fire ring. The park is close to I-85, meaning we did hear road noise, but the convenience was also nice. Except for the distance from our relatives' home, we would definitely return. It was clean and very well-maintained. - StateofMaineStateofMind

We would not stay here again. If we could have gotten a refund we would have left. OLD restrooms and showers that had bugs, frogs, no heat or air, and one stall had the lights not working. This "campground" is filled with old campers, 5th wheels, and horse trailers that people are living in. It is WAY off the highway and in a valley so there are no views. It does have a laundry. We almost had a cell phone signal. The person who checked us in was nice and helpful when we asked questions. - BorntoCruise
Jul 2010 - $16.00
Quiet, level, clean park. It does not have a pool or game room but, if you are looking for a nice inexpensive place to camp while in the Mt. Airy, Pilot Mt. and Winston-Salem area this is the place to stay. It does have a decent playground for kids. We enjoyed our three nights staying there and will go back. - Oldman5145

This is a mobile home park with a few spots for RVs. Mainly older units that are in need of repair. The roads were paved. Our spot was level. The first spot he wanted to put us in was very muddy and not level, so he did move us. This spot was grass with some gravel in the muddy spots. He does charge by the day, not night . So 4 nights is 5 days, you pay for 5 days. No bath house, you must be self-contained. The park is quiet and no one bothers you. - esta34950

We camped here on our very first trip in our camper. The sites are fairly level and very shaded. There is no Wi-Fi or cable but it has an amazing peaceful atmosphere. As far as things to do for children there isn't anything. However, they have a huge field that you can play whatever sport you want in. The view of Pilot Mountain was awesome. The manager of the camp was super nice and very helpful. They do have a dump station but no sewer hookups. Overall we had a great time. We would go again. - HappyCampers6
Sep 2011 - $25.00
Beautiful campground at the foot of Pilot Mountain with some of the best views and sunsets. Large stage with various events throughout the year, esp. bluegrass, Smilefest, Bobstock, scouting jamborees, mud runs, weddings. I have stayed there 30+ times, and it is a 4 hour drive for me. The owner is very nice, but also firm enough to keep trouble out/away. I caught a 5 lb bass in their lake so bring your poles. - ReelEKeen

Jun 2017 - $50.00
Will promise everything to get a reservation. We asked for open site (no trees) close to pool for grandkids. no such thing here with 50A FHU PT. We were given end site, wooded, unlevel. Owners were stand-off indifferent. Workcamper at office did not even render hello on arrival. Ridiculous $50 rate, $45 after 10% GoodSam. Not recommending this park. - Avanti3106
Mar 2017 - $50.00
Campground is convenient to the interstate and the manager was chatty and engaging. Sites are a little rustic. Restrooms are below average. The area is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but there is a good little diner that is pretty rustic with good down-home type food near the interstate. The campground is overpriced for what it is. This was the highest priced site we hit on the trip from the northeast to FL. - Nxchptr
