Great State Park Camping. We were walkups and found a great site in Loop 3. Site was awesome, swimming hole fantastic and our overall experience was great. Bathrooms were good, but not as clean as I would like. We camped at Jordan Lake SRA/Parkers Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

I love NC State Parks, my only real complaint about Jordan Lake and it's campgrounds is that the pictures on the website are outdated and there is A LOT of drop off now. You never really know what kind of waterfront site you will get until you get there. The picture makes it look like a nice beach, but when you get there it's all stumps and a rocky drop off you have to climb down to get to the water. Other than that and the bathrooms needing an update in some campgrounds, Jordan Lake is nice. The sites are always clean and nicely sized. We camped at Jordan Lake SRA/Parkers Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

An absolutely delightful place for a night or a week. The rate is the senior rate. In September during the week the park is almost empty. Although there is no cable, it is easy to gain TV with a regular antenna. We camped at Jordan Lake SRA/Parkers Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped at Parkers Creek in the group tent area. We enjoyed the camp site. It was well organized, clean, and the trash was picked up daily. The fire ring was well positioned with benches for 40. Access to the lake was convenient from the campsite. The bathroom facilities could have used a thorough cleaning. The beach area and playground were enjoyed by the children. We camped at Jordan Lake SRA/Parkers Creek Campground in a Tent.

Very clean and quiet park. Only complaing was the water in bathhouse for sink and showers was brown like lake water. Didn't feel clean after taking a shower. We camped at Jordan Lake SRA/Parkers Creek Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Parkers Creek was a well maintained area of this large state recreation area. We stayed in loop #3. The weekend was a quiet one and found us with only a few of the surrounding sites occupied. Most of the waterfront sites in the park are non-electric. The sites are first come first serve unless you have reserved for over a week. The campground was extremely quiet and we were excited to see and hear bald eagles. The sites were very level side to side and access was effortless. Your pass while staying offers you access to the other areas of the park. We visited all of the other areas and found that Parkers Creek seemed to have the least amount of hills which is better for five-year-olds riding bicycles. You have access to several clean swim beaches with good sand for castles and playgrounds. The only downfall I found was the bath houses left a little to be desired. Only one out of four showers had hot water and there was no place to sit or put things on. Bring your boat, canoe or kayak, this is a great place to get on the water. When we visit again we will head straight to Parkers Creek. We camped at Jordan Lake SRA/Parkers Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The view on the waterfront was beautiful. You can dry camp or use W&E. We did not use bathhouse-so no review for that. Our site was large and well shaded. We canoed on the lake. Lots of people fishing from their boats and from shore. Also lots of skiers and people on their ski-doos. We had a great time. We would love to go back. Take your supplies though - as it is a ways to get anything you might need! Great place - we'll definitely go again! We camped at Jordan Lake SRA/Parkers Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.
