Except for furniture vendors during the furniture market events, there are no reservations. For RVs there are three sections. Sections A and C are old and covered with trees. Some sites are large, some small. Some level, most not. Section B is an open gravel lot in the center with 24 sites. Sites B1 through B13 are fairly level; sites B14 through B24 not so much. In B section all utilities are in the rear with most of the sewer connections uphill. Electric worked well. Water pressure low. WIFI has improved so with my signal amplifier it worked well. No picnic table, patio, or fire ring. Cell signal weak. Unfortunately, there are no good parks in the entire Triad area, so this is the best going. - ramblin' vagabonds
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Stayed on one of the level sites in section A. Sites are narrow and many are unlevel to the point that you need to move to section B which is all gravel and level but no trees at all. Restrooms are clean on the weekends but no cleaning from Tuesday til Friday, not the best situation. Pool is avail in section A. Nice campground but the city needs to spend some of the profit to fix sites that are asphalt but breaking edges on sides and large dips in pavement need attention. no patio only dirt to sit. - srbuynow
Aug 2016 - $35.00
We thoroughly enjoyed this campground. We were in section B, the gravel lot for larger RVs. We were concerned about lot being uneven in that section (we were in B17) based on previous reviews, but was not an issue at all; just needed a little leveling out. No trees in this lot, as in neighboring A & C sections (for smaller trailers and tent camping). View of lake from section B was great, including a shelter with picnic tables. Saw lots of canoes and kayaks, row teams, and ducks. Kids went to a nice little playground in section A (or C, can't remember) and then went to the large playground at the marina across the lake (had to drive). Overall, thought it was a great facility and would certainly recommend it. Only drawback is that the sites were smaller (width); our neighbor could not extend their awning all the way with our slides out. We did not have a neighbor on our other side, but we would've had the same issue. - Camping with kiddos
May 2016 - $25.00
This is a mobile home park with a few spots for RVs. Mainly older units that are in need of repair. The roads were paved. Our spot was level. The first spot he wanted to put us in was very muddy and not level, so he did move us. This spot was grass with some gravel in the muddy spots. He does charge by the day, not night . So 4 nights is 5 days, you pay for 5 days. No bath house, you must be self-contained. The park is quiet and no one bothers you. - esta34950
Oct 2016 - $20.00
Beautiful park. We stayed in the "B" section and honestly, our 34' 5th wheel was probably too big. It fit, but just barely. The inner ring of spots are all pull so it was easy to get into, I saw some larger rigs try to back into the outer spots and it was challenging. The other "C" section has much larger spots. B section is very pretty, completely wooded (which also means no satellite). The restrooms were acceptable, but not great. Twice my wife complained there was no toilet paper, and the showers weren't very clean. The park has lots of nice wooded trails for walking. The park itself was very clean. Trash bins readily available and we saw camp workers every day taking care of the place. - dseipel2
May 2016 - $20.00
This is a lovely place in a beautiful setting. We stayed there while visiting in Greensboro. There is good water and power and a dump station. We were there when it rained and it was a bit muddy. When you drive into the campground, you are expected to magically find the spot you signed up for on line. Thanks goodness for other campers who gave us input. There are a lot of options for activities, including hiking and biking. We would stay there again. We stayed in a 40 ft RV with slides. For the price, it was great. - Jamul
May 2016 - $20.00
Beautiful rustic campground. Electric, water and dump station. No cable or wifi. Verizon worked well. Sites were nice, but we did need to use some wood to get level. There had been rain and were big puddles on the sites and some pot holes in the road getting to the campground. Nice park to walk. Would stay here again if in the area. Price was certainly right! - Sally Chew
Nov 2016 - $40.00
Staff very friendly. Escorted to site. Fairly level site with good water pressure. Too many trees with acorns that fall on the roof. I am partial to grass. Easy in/out. Seasonal sites need a little TLC. - billydw
Sep 2016 - $50.00
We were passing through on the Labor Day weekend. We were glad that they had a few spots available since we had not made reservations. As the other reviewers stated, we were escorted to our spot by a very congenial staff. We had a pull through and left our vehicle attached. Since we were only spending the night we did not work too hard on leveling on the gravel. It was easy for us to get to the electric, water and sewer. Some sites had rock fire rings but I think many of the sites are too close together for live fire.
The playground seemed to have been freshly painted and the grass was mowed. It was neat and clean. The pool was open but no one was swimming. It appeared to be in good shape. The gardens were in good shape, live and full of flowers. The picnic pavilion was clean but no one was using it. There are small cabins available. I saw no tent sites. They do have an official dog walking area but bring your own pooh bags.
We did not use the small bathhouse. It was clean but a bit rough around the edges. It appears that the full timers are further toward the back of the park.
It is convenient to the highway, but noisy. - car2ner
Jul 2016 - $40.00
They claim to be a "new" KOA but we here 2 years ago and they were KOA then. Interior roads and sites need leveling and gravel. There are several large potholes along the paved entrance. The addition of plants to block the view of the interstate would also be nice if you are in the closest row as we were. There appear to be many permanent residents here. Restrooms were clean but need some TLC as does most of the park. It appears as though KOA corporate does not inspect their campgrounds any longer. So sad since they used to be a very reliable place to stay along the way. - Ms Winnie
Oct 2015 - $33.00
This was our first time staying at this campground and like the other reviews I have the same feedback. The sites are un-level and you need a lot of blocks to make it level. We moved to 3 different sites to find a site that we could level on. The exit has over grown trees which need to be cut back as it scratched our RV when we were leaving and we had to buff out the scratch. The Wi-Fi is only ok and due to all the trees on the sites you can't use satellite. They do have cable but bring your on cords and make sure they are long enough to connect. Over all nice people and pond but would probably only be a one time stop in visit. - Jaretaz
Mar 2015 - $22.00
Sites were not level at all.Wifi did not work at all. owners were friendly but seemed to be new at running campground. cell phone service was not good.we have Verizon.Bathrooms need work and cleaning.Tree roots are all over we tripped over them several times. Road and driveway coming in needs work, its pretty rough. The pond is beautiful. The fishing is great !! Several pets staying at campground, there was a little barking but not too bad.grounds kept clean. - Campingkids
Sep 2014 - $15.00
Stayed here for 3 nights. Very quiet campground. Also very low cost with Passport America. Probably wouldn't stay here at full price. I don't think any site is level, so make sure you have plenty of leveling blocks. Water pressure was good. Cable was fine and my Consumer Cellular phone worked. As others have mentioned, the Wi-Fi doesn't work. It is probably the router. My laptop shows good signal and connection to the campground network, but no Internet access. Lady at the store said they reset the router every morning. Maybe it is time to spend $50 on a new router. Campground access road is a little rough at Loflin Pond road. Also, the BP gas station cited in the driving directions is no long there. It is another name. The Shell is still there, though. - TH travelers
Jul 2015 - $30.00
Both the people operating the park and the people staying there were all great. Wi-Fi was poor but I was far away from the office. It's cash or check only. No alcohol beverages permitted. Yes I would come back. - Lindas Old Man
Nov 2013 - $30.00
We always stay at Holly Bluff, when we are in the area. It is a small, peaceful place and it serves our needs well. The 50 amp, pull-through lots are easy in and out. A little levelling is usually necessary, but we are used to that. Wi-Fi is adequate as is the water pressure. The staff is wonderfully helpful. - Lise
Aug 2013 - $28.00
Decent place, nice people... Wifi was not good and I would not want to stay a week but a day or two was fine. - gc1966
Jul 2010 - $40.00
We camped here as an overnight stop on our way to the beach. The campsite we were given we had been warned would be tight for our 5th wheel, but the length wasn't the issue, the site was very narrow, it had a very slim spot to park then a steep bank leaving no room for chairs or relaxing. The family pavilion was nice, free basketball and ping pong. But our biggest issue, other then the steep campsite was the bathrooms/shower house. There was no doors on the showers, only a dirty curtain, the toilets were not separated, just a a room full of toilets with no privacy. This campground was 75% permanent sites. Pool looked nice, we didn't use it. - User1237
May 2010 - $39.00
Had a very unlevel site. Only sitting area was the driveway in front of the tongue. If this was the first place I had ever camped, it would have been my last. Has very steep roads and was hard to get your camper in and out. - Oldman5145
Oct 2005 - $15.00
This campground does not have some of the amenities that others do such as cable connections but the sites near the back of the property offer good privacy and the feeling of camping in the woods. There is a nice lake near the rear sites that can be fished easily. The tent sites are on the lake. Another advantage of this CG is it is the closest to the Zoo. I would recommend this CG to anyone that does not have a large camper and is not looking for modern facilities. - jrackley
Sep 2016 - $31.00
Large family oriented campground, well laid out and clean. Quiet country setting with many amenities although we were just there for the night so we did not take advantage of them. WIFI very weak and almost unusable at our site but the lady who took our phone reservation told us that when we asked in advance. 22 OTA TV stations available. - Bob & Stephanie
Jul 2016 - $31.00
Not our cup of tea. It was ok at it's very best. It does have good potential with some work.
Our site was not level. It was a mixture of grass and dirt. The picnic table was in terrible shape and what we considered unusable. Other campsite tables seemed ok. The sites are close together. A good bit of permanent RV's. Would be nice if they separated them. We have no problem with people living in their RV, but the sites were not kept neat and clean. They were full of crap (and yes we mean crap). One site (2 sites up from us) had a large propane tank on site. The wheels of the 5th wheel were going flat on one side. Some sites had tall grass around the RV as if they didn't weed eat around it. Could not locate Wi-Fi on my iPhone as the local Wi-Fi (Banjo) was not visible. I could see it sometimes with the MacBook, but was only able to connect once over the entire weekend and it was pretty slow. Phone reception spotty (ATT) as well. Would fluctuate from one bar to no service without moving.
Lots of things for kids to do. Didn't use the facilities so we can't really give any info on those. Our daughter had fun in the game room/arcade. The store seemed ok. Only saw it when I checked in. Not too far from Asheboro and the NC Zoo. Would stay again for a day or weekend, but would probably be more selective on our site.
If they would come through and regrade the sites and make them at least gravel, then it would make it a little better. Also, put the permanent residents in a separate location. Or make them keep their sites tidy and clean. - rvingillustrated
Jun 2016 - $31.00
This campground is somewhat dated, but it is neat and clean and quiet. We just stayed overnight and we would stop here again. - mary mcmoo
Sep 2016 - $45.00
We stayed for a long weekend, arriving at noon on Friday. Check in was easy and we were escourted to our site, The site was off the main entrance and sloped down quite a bit. The map lead you to believe there would be a water view and there was a peek of water through the trees. The park was quite and had plenty of trees. It was very peaceful but a little stressful coming in and going out as the access roads were on the narrow side. - tvolk
Oct 2015 - $40.00
We stayed here 7 years ago. It has changed into a trailer park for boaters and fishermen. Permanent sites are packed throughout the park. We were in a row of pull through sites near the entrance. Not very level. Sites very close together. Good hookups with water pressure. Wi-fi was very weak and intermittent. While sitting outside, the pull through site next to us was being shown to a potential long term resident. Difficult exiting our site due to layout. Lots of traffic going by our site. No dog park or designated dog area. Would be OK for an overnite or to play on the lake. We'll find someplace else next time. - amxpress
Apr 2015 - $37.00
Enjoyed our one night stay. Office help friendly and helpful. Escorted to our campsite and they also brought firewood to our campsite. We stayed near the lake but not exactly on it. Was a nice pleasant evening. Connections and sewer were fine. Site was not entirely level but we managed fine. We would return. - rwarner22

Plenty of things to do - kids enjoyed the game room and fishing. - Reteze
Jun 2016 - $1.00
Well equipped and maintained clubhouse, pool shower/changing room. Adult pool is large; nice hot tub. The Family/kids pool area is really well done with a Jungle Gym, ice cream shop and restaurant. The restaurant is priced for families on a budget.
Our site was perfectly level, large and grassy.
NOTE: the waste water pipe does not have a threaded attachment style so bring an adapter. I use a 3" diameter by 12" long PVC pipe with a standard RV sewer line elbow adapted. Worked well. - GaHoosier
Feb 2016 - $3.00
Easy access to I85. Very nice and helpful staff. Large sites, mostly well maintained. Many long term campers, but plenty of sites for short term stays. Wifi costs extra, but well worth the couple of dollars. Most sites are back in. However, we were able to get out 43 ft MH in pretty easily. Would like to see this place in summer, I imagine it would be very nice. Stayed a week this time and would stay again. - westwill3
