This is a nice place to stay if you want to tour Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. Some of the spots are very tight, but others have more space. What you can't see from the campground map is how very steep the area is, so that a campsite that looks like it directly behind you may be a fifty feet higher or lower. You may or may not end up with a nice view, depending upon the slope. The biggest attraction is the proximity to Biltmore, the Farmers Market, the North Carolina Arboretum, and other area sights. If you buy tickets for Biltmore, you get a two-day pass at the price of a one-day pass. So, you can spend one day touring the house and formal gardens and a second day exploring some of the 8,000 acres of the estate. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend to others. (The laundry rooms were very small and could only handle a tiny amount of laundry, so we took ours to a laundromat in town.) We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Cecil's Tavern at the Biltmore estate was a great place for lunch.

There are several walking paths we enjoyed at Biltmore as well as bike trails there and along the rivers in downtown Asheville.

I enjoyed this park, perched on the side of a hill. Sites were paved and basically flat and many were shaded by large trees. It was a bit tricky getting into our site as they had built up a big hump to flatten the site. There is no dog park and little space for walking a dog, unless you walk down a hill into a field near the Interstate, but I have no idea who owns the land. Wifi was very slow. The park is convenient to downtown and Biltmore Village. We enjoyed getting fresh vegetables and homemade ice cream at the farmers market, just across the Interstate. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

The location of the park is great for getting to the Biltmore quickly. However, getting to the park is rather challenging. It is nestled up on a very curvy ridge right between two very busy interstates. The pull-through sites were located down the road from the main park but within view of the main park. It was a manageable spot but tight getting into. There wasn't much of an area to walk the dog or even go for a walk without running into very busy traffic. We were only there for a few days and didn't use any amenities such as the laundry room or showers. We also didn't get to visit with the staff but check-in was a breeze. If we were to ever pass through the area again we might visit again. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Biltmore and shopping are minutes away!

Getting to the park is difficult if you are a big rig. Twisting road and oncoming traffic make for white knuckles and muddy tires. After check-in you will need to make that crazy drive AGAIN to get to a pull-through site! Once in the site (swing wide and aim true) you are surrounded by highways and interstates, so noise is constant. The good news is that the park is clean and once again, location, location, location! We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Apollo Flame restaurant is really good and relatively close.

Our experience here was pretty much as others have described. However, although we had no trouble, others in our group could not get satisfactory TV reception and management was little or no help. Also, some electrical pillars did not work, again with no help from mgmt. We would stay here again mostly because of the location. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Asheville is a tourist town with lots for visitors.

Did not make a reservation and we got the last site available! The park is close to I-40 and easy to get to but you do hear the traffic noises. We used the WiFi and found it satisfactory and they had free cable TV. The camp is convenient to the Biltmore Estate and the office gave us detailed instructions for driving there. Someone mentioned tight spaces in another review. They are close to each other but we had no trouble backing in and the pads are concrete. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground on top of a hill. No problem pulling our 37' fiver into campground.
Backing in a little tight and would have been a bigger problem if someone was in the site across from us.
Beautiful view from our campsite. The sites were a little tight and was tight on parking my tv in from of RV.
Easy access to interstate and to Asheville.
Would stay here again. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was my first time here and likely my last unless I have no other choice. Sites were very cramped. Cable tv reception bad so we used our antenna. Can't have a campfire. The pull thru sites were about 50 feet from a busy highway. Very noisy during the morning and early evening hours but not bad at night. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Asheville had lots of shopping and of course the Biltmore. We did a trolley tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also access to the Blue Ridge Parkway very convenient.

This park served our purpose very well. The location is convenient to downtown and Biltmore. Spaces were tight but we didn't stay there much during the daytime. The staff was great. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tight, hilly, narrow campground roads with nice views of valleys nearby. Fairly level paved site with good water pressure. Pieces of bakelite missing from electrical connection and very loose and low to the ground. Some I-40 road rumble over the hill. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is nice and clean and convenient to (the park is surrounded by them) I-40/ I-26/ 240 by pass. The proximity to the hiways is its draw back too. Jake brake city. All night, all day. The park is very nice except for that one little issue. The office person was pleasant when we checked in and helpful with our questions concerning the local things to do. The pool area is well kept even though it was closed for the season. The WI-FI worked fine, for us anyway. Cable was fine too even though you need to use their remote which you get upon check in. The sites aren't huge but they give you enough space to get outside your RV. Each site has a nice picnic table. The roads are a bit narrow but from the number of class A coaches they are not unmanuverable. I managed to back into my spot just fine. Not so sure I would stay here again because of the noise from the hiway. There may be quieter areas in the park, I don't know, but you do hear some road noise no mater where you are in the park. Too bad too. Its a nice park otherwise. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Head out to Swannanoa (on rt. 70) to Okiedokies Smoke House for some really good BBQ. Its not far from the KOA Asheville East CG. Brunswick Stew was awesome.

This park is very crowded when full within the park. We had a large pull-through which wasn't as crowded but it literally sits on the main road. The traffic noise made it a little hard to sleep. It also wasn't very level but we made it work. The lady in the front office was very helpful when we called requesting an earlier arrival date. She moved some things around and then called me back to let me know we could come on in to our requested site. Overall our stay was good. Like most parks, WiFi was almost nonexistent but our AT&T signal was good. They require a special remote for their cable and we had no issues with it. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We are at Moose Cafe a couple of times. Breakfast was great but lunch was just OK. Get there early because it's a very busy place with little space for lines.

This park is convinient as it is close to Asheville. Unfortunately it is a very tight park with small sites. Some of the larger sites are right on the road actually outside the Campground which is not good. Road noise was a little loud. WiFi was ok but slow. Cable TV required a special remote from the office but worked well. The park appeared clean. There is a lower level area which has seasonals and that area was nice with more space between sites. Our picnic table was an old cracked plastic table which was unusable. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

It was a pretty park with a lot of trees. It has several tiers. We were down towards the bottom by the entrance. Limited hours on the pool and office. The cable only works with a special remote that they provide. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Asheville is a very dog friendly town. Lots of places to eat with a patio. We took the Big Purple Bus tour around the town. It was a great way to see the sights and be entertained. The mountains are beautiful.

We stayed at Beer Creek RV Park in spots 41 and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law stayed 43. It seemed as if we were in the "overflow" area as we were 120 yards or more from the restrooms. The restrooms were horrible due to being old, mold, and low water pressure; if a toilet was flushed the water temperature would change to very hot almost scalding, one of the shower valves was installed incorrectly so that the hot marking was cold water and the cold marking was hot water - very dangerous. The pool hours were very limited - 9 am to 7 pm, much too early considering the heat and the long days of summer. They advertised WiFi, however it could only be used near the office. I doubt if we will stay there again. I will give them kudos for reserving the spots side by side. We camped at Ashevilles Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
