1 Park near Avon, North Carolina
Aug 2015 - $27.00
Nice quiet campground.
Easy check-in. While we had reservations, there were plenty of sites available as we camped towards the end of the season on the Outer Banks.
Close to shopping and beaches.
Price includes a $10 electric service charge for our three day stay. - thetravelkids

Great location. We paid Passport america Price so this was great for the area. There are lots of campgrounds on the outer banks. If you want to be on the water, you can go to Nags Head area which is close to 100 dollars per night. Sands is small, quiet, the martins are great to keep away bugs. We had a great site with a tree for shade. Everything worked well. The local fish places are excellent. This is a good camp ground if you have activities planned yourself. The kids don't have a huge amount to do so if you want stuff at your CG this is not for you. Great to use as a base for surfing etc. Good TV, good cell coverage, nice friendly helpful staff and a good book exchange. - FrancisandRenee

This is a small no frills campground but very nice and very quiet and great location. Getting to and from the campground was easy as was getting in and out of the all back-in sites. The sites are dirt but level with plenty of room for your slide outs and awning. Each site has a picnic table and most no shade. We had good power on our 50 amp site but they charge by the usage even on short stays. At 15 cents per KW it was cheaper to use our propane at times. The water pressure is good and tasted good. The WI-FI did not work most of the time and the host was working on it but we did have a strong signal on our Verizon link. The cable had many channels to choose from. We would stay here again. - dandg
