Not a very pleasant place visually, but not unpleasant. No privacy in sites and very close together. Rally small bathhouse. Decnt location. We camped at Adventure Village in a Travel Trailer.

Seven nights at $200 was just too good to be true. No one to check you in - one sheet of information waiting in a box at Village Office door. Owner or Operator had white truck you'd see now and then but no contact was made with me. Office was never opened when I stopped by. Village housed permanent residents in run-down trailers. RV sites were small and cramped. Pond had fish but board walk over it was rickety and needed repair. Pool was old and needed surface debris and bug removal. We did it ourselves because it just wasn't being done by anyone else. No ambience at all and not what I considered a nice place to relax outdoors and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. I can only reference the RV area because I did not see the tent sites or go inside a cabin. I kept my shades drawn because there was nothing I wanted to look at. I love Brevard but never again at Adventure Village. We camped at Adventure Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Brevard is about 7 miles north. Bryson City is an hour and a half over the mountain and Asheville is about 45 minutes away on descent highways. Otherwise, there ain't much to do at Adventure Village.

OK park with good location. We stayed in a newer area 'on top' in the upper level. Some motorcoach drivers may not want to drive a large coach up the narrow sloped driveway to the upper area. Lower area was easy access. We camped at Adventure Village in a Motorhome.

Great locally run spot! We arrived late and the instructions and map were clearly marked in the drop box. We have a 20' travel trailer which was easy to park. Well maintained and beautiful location. If the office isn't open you can text or call host. He was very accommodating. We camped at Adventure Village in a Travel Trailer.

Office was closed when we got there. I tried calling the number but was sent to answering machine. Owner later returned call after we had parked. There is a secure gate that blocks off the sites and if one of the residents hadn't opened it for us, we would not have been able to stay. The sites are very unlevel and the buckets covering the water hook-ups are filthy. This place needs TLC and lots of it. We paid in the morning when the office opened at 9. We would not stay here again. We camped at Adventure Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Very rustic park, a long loop in a canyon. Interior roads are gravel and rough, sites are grass and really off level. Worst part is that it rained quite heavily the week we were there and our site became a mud puddle. Wifi is good. We probably wouldn't return., We camped at Adventure Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Great location as a base for hiking and exploring Waterfall country. The park itself is well kept, but could use a little work. There is some traffic noisemakers but not unbearable. The bathrooms and showers were basic, nothing fancy, but could use some better ventilation to get the moisture out. The main problem I had was the geese around the pond. You had to watch your steps! The park is currently for sale, We camped at Adventure Village in a Truck Camper.

The property that this campground sits on is beautiful and has such great potential. But the campground is just average. Our site was level and hookups were easily accessible. They have sites on a small stream but the hookups are on the wrong side unless you pull a motorhome in. Overall the RV sites need a little TLC. The pool was a little aged but clean. There is a nice lake to fish on and there are some strenuous hiking trails on campground property. It is certainly convenient to the many activities in the Brevard area. If we came back, we would probably stay here again because there is not much else to choose from. We camped at Adventure Village in a Travel Trailer.

After much wait, this was trip number 3 with our popup. We found the campground to be pretty well kept. We were just about the only campers there the whole week. This would normally alarm me, but it was early in the season. I think the campground was great. The pool was fine. We did not fish in the pond. The hiking trails in the campground were disappointing. The "stream" is more of a ditch, but it was nice to see the water steady flowing and babbling in it. The name Adventure Village could be misleading. The showers were not spectacular, but they were clean and served their purpose. We never saw the owner who we booked the site with, but he was always a phone call away if we needed something. There was an employee there during the day keeping things tidy. We had Wi-Fi access that worked fine. In a nutshell, don't go to this place if you are looking for "Adventure". This place is just fine if you need somewhere to camp as it was wonderful for that. Get out and do your adventuring around the area. I recommend DuPont State Forest and the waterfalls there. We would stay here again. We camped at Adventure Village in a Tent Trailer.

When you first drive in, the park has a gorgeous pond with a gazebo on a bridge leading to a swimming pool. It is very pretty and is nestled in the soft, rolling hills that are covered in trees. It is just off highway 64 about 10 minutes outside of Brevard, so it is a quiet location and easy to find. There are about 18 RV sites that are further back into the woods and are all back in, half of them facing a small stream that runs down one side of the RV area. The pond is stocked with fish and there are hiking trails right out of the park. We stayed for 5 days and liked it here for the natural beauty of the woods and quiet location. In order for it to be a really great park they need to improve the sites a little more. Our site was adequate for our needs as we are not fussy about amenities and we were able to park the trailer that we pull behind our motorhome in their parking area, so it worked for us. If you are looking for a place to stay that is in a natural setting yet close enough to town, this one may work for you We camped at Adventure Village in a Motorhome.
