Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $14.00

This park is in a very nice, beautiful quiet place. They cater to all types, including tent campers and hammock campers. I would stay here again.

The owners and individuals who work here are super friendly. The RVs have plenty of space. They have left lots of open field space in front of the RVs. They have a pavilion with games and a store with ice, firewood and ice cream. Laundry is cheap ($1.25 a load). There are very little bugs. I can't emphasize how peaceful. There was plenty of shade. In late July/August many nights I didn't even need my A/C. They have recycling.

Note, spaces aren't very level. I was able with lots of levelers and blocks to get it done though. I had to borrow some cinder blocks from my next door neighbor. Water pressure seems very low and water taste is not great.

Voltage was low. Was enough for what I needed but breaker tripped several times. Once when I wasn't even there.

Staying online: I am on Verizon and I have little to no service. Bryson City itself doesn't seem to boast great Wi-Fi anywhere. I drove to Sylva each day to work at the library there. The Wi-Fi at the park was okay when it was prime time but not super fast.

Driving Notes: The road up to there is sometimes 1 to 1.5 lanes. Do not recommend at night. Recommend avoiding prime 'down' the mountain time in mornings and evening. We camped at Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Deep Creek Trail is beautiful and offers hikes of all lengths and tubing. Sylva is easy drive nearby with Wal-Mart, great local, organic, well prepared food and awesome library with super fast internet. If you show your receipt for staying at RV park they will give you a temporary library card. Nanthala is fun white water.

Chose this campground because of the close proximity to Bryson City. We found the manager to be very nice and extremely helpful. Our site was basically in a field and due to Hurricane Patricia the ground was verrry wet and very unlevel. While trying to get 3 inches of boards under one side we became stuck in the mud. Thankfully the manager had a tractor and was very helpful in getting us out otherwise we would have had to be towed out. The ground was too soft for a heavy 38 foot RV and needed a lot of gravel. I would not recommend camping there in a large RV. The road to the campground is very narrow and winding and only wide enough for one vehicle in places and this seems to be a well used road. With some upgrading to the sites it could be a nice campground for tents or smaller RVs. We felt like the site fee was way too high for what you get. $20.00 would be more appropriate. While the manager was very personable, we would not camp there again. We camped at Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for a month. Quiet campground location. Super friendly managers. Close to Bryson City with cute shops and cafes (Cork and Bean was our local place and Mountain Brew has great wraps). Eleven miles from NOC whitewater rafting and kayaking. Five miles to Fontana Lake for fishing and the famous Tsali mountain bike/horse riding trails. Had a blast and would come back if we are in the area again. We camped at Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground in a Motorhome.
