Elmore RV park has been great to me and my search and Recue dog, It is clean and well cared for and you could not get a better staff, Also the maint person is always on top of any problems if they should arise. One more thing the Wi-Fi is terrific. I am staying at Elmore RV park We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

My visit was not during the race season so it wasn't busy but they still put me in a field. The water connection consisted of green garden hoses run the length of the field with splitters; the electric connections did not look up to code as they were conduits leaning on a bucket. The spaces were so close if someone was next to you you would barely be able to open the door let alone your awning. It was just a field. No picnic tables, no shade, no fire ring - nothing. When I asked about a picnic table they said they didn't have any. I could see picnic tables at other sites and when I pointed it out they ignored me. I was quoted a $30 rate they said they didn't offer good sams or senior rates but when I was in the office they were giving someone else a $22 rate. They took cash only which made me suspect as well. When I walked in the office a large, smelly dog almost pushed me back out the door (I love dogs and I have several); this was not a dog that should have been in the office. They were arguing with customers on the phone as well. In all my years of camping this was the worst place ever. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

Staff is very accommodating and pleasant. No camping discounts except Good Sam. Wifi is excellent. Beware 2 low overpasses if you come in from the west on Tryon St. The second one is 13' 0". Also beware the drop-off at the eastern entrance, our hitch scraped the road. It was fine for an overnight but we would not camp here for longer. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small RV park located in Charlotte. Most of the sites are used by long-term residents. There are a few spots available for short-term stays. We stayed a week here to do some sightseeing and have our motorhome worked on. The sites are very close to each other and you may need an extension for your electrical hookup. We are in a large motorhome and were lucky that the site next to us was open to allow us to back into our site. There are no restrooms, laundry, or showers in the park. The Wi-Fi in the park was very good and we were able to stream some Amazon videos while we were there. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit downtown Charlotte and take the Liberty Walk. There is music in the downtown parks most weekends. NASCAR Hall of Fame located downtown as well. A lot of free parking downtown on weekends.

Our price reflects a weekly rate. The park has no services other than a full hookup, however the location is really good. It's in the middle of Charlotte and close to museums and downtown. It's located behind Phil Jackson's Auto Sales. Most of the park consists of long-term tenants but there are some sites reserved for short-term renters. If you only need a convenient place to stay and are self-contained this is adequate. The manager is really nice. The sites are level. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pros: close to downtown and felt safe, easy check-in, good Wi-Fi Cons: limited pull-thru and tight turns, gravel back-in sites available. Overhead lines could be a problem for some tall rigs. Some distant train noise. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is not a destination park. It is a level, clean, gravel lot in Charlotte, behind a car dealership and machine shop, and in front of a small mobile home park. There are no facilities. The manager was very nice in accommodating our after-hours arrival on a Saturday, telling us to pick a place to park and drop a check in the mail slot, since the office is closed Sunday. The wi-fi signal was strong and steady. There were only four other rigs in the lot, and only one was occupied. The park serves as a long term living area for people who work in Charlotte during the week and go home on weekends. For the convenience and for what it is, it was a great place to stop over while visiting the Charlotte area, and there are no other close options. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park has a great location, close to downtown. Easy to miss it though if you are driving down the road. Has a small sign and is located behind an automotive garage. The lady and husband management/owners were super nice and helpful. Came out to help me unload my motorcycle out of the back of my toyhauler. Hook ups were a little outdated, but functional. No cable TV at the time, but there were about 10 local stations. Wi-Fi worked well. There were a number of permanent residents living there and all that I met were nice. The biggest downside was the train whistles that blow all times of the night and the tracks were close by. This is not a resort, but it was good for the price and location in Charlotte. Would give a higher rating if it wasn’t for the trains at night. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for over nite stay as said in previous reviews. Lady worker was very helpful, considerate, and cooperative. Although there is Wi-Fi, it doesn't always work. I think it depends on how many are using it. Hookups are not convenient, shared, outdated, had to use a 50 amp adapter for 30 amps. One water faucet for 2 campsites. Very crowded sites and hard to park. There are mostly permanent residents and condition of campers and mobile homes are not very good. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly, flexible staff. Closest campground to Downtown Charlotte. Very low cost. Very quiet considering the in-city location. No activities for kids. This campground is for the persons who want to do their own thing and not require the campground to supply entertainment. Ten-minute public bus trip to arenas and Panther's stadium. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I thought this park was perfect for our needs. There are permanent home sites on there but lots of transients for the Nascar Race and close to downtown. On a bus line so if you want to take public transit it's available. Very hard to find, it's behind the Phil Jackson Car Dealership (turn as you are going to the dealership, you will see a very small sign) Very nice people in the park. Although in the city, you can't feel the city feel inside the park. Hardly any locals know where the park is as it's hidden. My kids enjoyed riding bikes and chatting with the older residents. I will camp here again as the price is right and the owners are super nice and accommodating. We camped at Elmore RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
