An okay commercial park. Sites are close and interior roads are very narrow. Site was long and level and utilities satisfactory although sewer connection was at the very back of the site so needed extra long hose. Also, the sewer outlet was only covered by a rock, no proper covering. We chose here to go into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the location is very for that. We would stay again. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Motorhome.

It was a nice clean park. Only complaint would be the permanent rv areas looked rough. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed for 5 nights as part of Memorial Day weekend. Great campground for families with kids. Good campground for anyone really. Lots to do at the campground with live music on weekends. Tons to do in the surrounding area. We will stay here again, we really like the Cherokee NC area. The only con I have about the campground is the internet ( or lack of ) , there is none. T they should really stop saying they have it. There are places around that do have it, if you need it bad enough. I found my Myfi wifi Verizon did not do well at all either. The Verizon phone service does work though. All in all a really good place to stay. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Great staff. Waited after 5:00 PM to check me in. Escorted to site. Almost level; good water pressure; internet spotty. Clean grounds. Stream on both sides of campground. Nice pond. No one on either side of us, so we had plenty of room. Seasonal sites in front of us had lawn mowers, grills, bikes sitting out. Was here Mon. - Thru.; so it was quiet. Will stay here again. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Rather than stay in the nearby national park campground, which has no utility hookups and is crowded, we opted to stay at Happy Holiday RV Village, which is only a few miles from the national park entrance. It was a great place to stay to visit the area! It had some of the most spacious sites of any commercial RV park we've ever visited. They honored our Passport America rate the entire 2 & 1/2 weeks we stayed. Best deal in the area, by far, in our opinion.

Park is bordered by 2 creeks and has a large fishing pond on the property. Bathhouse nearest us was a bit outdated, but was neat and perfectly clean. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Granny' restaurant is just down the road and is a very popular, inexpensive buffet style place. They serve pretty good turkey and dressing every Thursday. Don't know about menu on other days. We enjoyed the Museum of the Cherokee People very much. You can easily visit Great Smoky Mountain National Park on day trips from Happy Holiday RV Village. Also, Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby. Ashville is an easy day trip. We enjoyed the river arts district there.

Stayed three nights and rested well each night as everyone seemed to adhere to the quiet time guidelines. Restrooms were a little dated but clean and orderly. Originally, reservations were screwed up at least three times by office personnel who either lacked sufficient training or just were careless. The office managers finally straightened everything up and check in went smooth, just be sure to request a confirmation email and a follow up verbal confirmation several days prior to arrival. Cell service is very weak here, best of luck with calls. Wi Fi was a joke, never connected in the three days here. Excuse was it was just overloaded. Newsflash...maybe its time to upgrade the service, if you advertise WiFi it should be expected to work. We, never the less, had fun in the Cherokee area and met many "interesting" fellow campers. We will return again in the future. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Motorhome.

The "manager" lied to me and others, stating that a festival promoter was responsible for disallowing year-over-year customers from camping near friends. He cursed at me when his lie was exposed. This arbitrary and unreasonable policy (not practiced by any other festival camp ground we attend) ruins the event, so we will not be returning. We will not be returning while this "management" is in place.

The sites were somewhat cramped. Full hookups are not available in all sites. Navigation roads are narrow but passable. Bath house facilities are some of the cleanest we have found. The convenience store has basic camping supplies and snack food. However, all of these positives are negated by the disrespectful attitude of the "managers". We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

We were there through Memorial Day weekend and on through the bluegrass festival, the following weekend. We have been there for many years and it's one of our favourite places to go. Even though the wifi is non existent on busy weeks and the cable is just fair on the best days. The management and 'some' of the workers need some hospitality training, some not friendly at all. One worker who was living near some friends who were playing music on Saturday night of the festival, angrily approached them and cursed them for playing music. The event escalated and he threatened to pull the power plug to their camper. Very unprofessional! My friends will not be back. Most irritating is their reservation policy, they do not allow you a grace period to reserve your same site from year to year. In other words your site can be taken from you. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is in good shape, bathrooms are very clean, sites are level and maintained, location is convenient to town. Some tent sites even had cable TV hook ups. However, the park staff ruined what was intended to be a fun holiday weekend for me and my grandchild. The manager and one of the women in the office/store were two of the rudest people I've even met in my life. The woman constantly had a nasty frown on her face and acted like customers wishing to check out in the camp store were too much trouble for her to deal with. I witnessed the manager speak to a neighboring camper in a way that would make a sailor blush and he was yelling and cursing at the customer so loudly he disturbed our entire side of the campground. The poor guy trying to do the right thing ended up getting kicked out by the manager after trying to protect ducks from teen/20's guys who were hitting them with rocks. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Tent.

No cell service at all. WiFi is fair. Cable is good. Very tight but we had no next door neighbors so was fine. Sewer hookup was barely reachable and almost higher than outlet on rig. Many sites had no gravel at all but ours did. We were here during the hurricane so it rained most of the time. Water running down the streets and standing everywhere. Location close to the casino and Smoky Mtn National park; lots of scenic drives when not raining. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

My wife and I were here for a week. Check-in was easy but staff not very friendly. Campground is very big, some sites are very tight if camping on the creek. Just appears to be run down, could use a good cleanup and some updates. As for WiFi forget it, very poor. I don't understand why campgrounds offer WiFi if it's that poor. Cable service good if you're not wanting a sports channel. We were here with a group and asked to be close to them and we were probably 300 yards or more away, not good. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Had a wonderful stay there for a month. Sites were adequate and the restrooms were clean. There is a pond there for fishing. Mostly for kids as its all real small stuff. The Indians stock the river with trout weekly so if you want to fish for them its pretty easy. The town doesn't offer much but the Casino but there is plenty to do in the other areas and in the Smoky Mtn Park. The work kampers were very friendly and sociable. Lots of Seasonal rigs but mostly they were clean with a few exceptions. Big open grass area with Concerts there almost weekly that were enjoyable to listen to. They also play Bingo every Thursday night. We will surly stay there again as this is a wonderful area to visit and the weather is great. This park didn't have any recent reviews, but we decided to give it a try while in the area. First, the location is great with close proximity to downtown Cherokee, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Now for the park review. The staff was nice during the check in process. Loved the escort to the site. The sites are CLOSE. The closest we've ever had. Tons of permenant residents, but they do keep it well kept and clean. Thankfully, one site beside us was vacant or it honestly would have been miserable. If this park is full, be prepared to be on top of each other.

We had a premium site with full hook ups. No complaints with any of that. We did not try the cable, so we can't speak to that. Cell phone reception is non existent (verizon). The wifi they provide is terrible. You cannot stay connected because it continually goes in and out. We are an outdoor family, so this wasn't a complete deal breaker for us, but do not go expecting to have internet via their Wifi because it truly is horrible. They do have a small swingset for the kids with a couple of swings, although very basic and small. We did not swim in the pool because it was always crowded, but it too was small. The streams running by the property are a nice asset, but in our case, the park was full and all creekside spots were occupied making it impossible to enjoy the creek without being rude and imposing onto another camper's site. The organized activities mentioned on their website were no where to be found during our week long stay. Overall, it's not a bad place to rest your head if you dont mind really close sites. That's not our preference so we will do better research and stay somewhere else on our next visit to Cherokee. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed there during the heavy rains and flooding. (We know the campgrounds are not to blame for this). If they would put more gravel on the road, and gravel the spot where the camper is parked, it would help. There was a camper on the back creek that would leave his dog tied to a tree while going away. At one point he let it run loose, and it went after another camper and dog. Workers talked to him, but the next time they went away the dog was back on the tree. The internet was mostly non existent. We were told it was due to all the kids using e-readers, i phones, and computers. Even after the weekend we tried it up at the office and had very little luck. Workers were of no help. While leaving, someone broke the water line next to us. (Once again not the campgrounds fault). I asked one worker if they could run a line from the other road to us. I was informed he was not in charge and was told to see another worker. When I want to the 2nd worker, I told him the 1st worker told me to see him. In a few minutes 1st worker showed up with a hose and informed me not the tell the worker in charge things he didn't say. When I informed him I didn't, he stated he didn't have time for this and stormed off. My wife and I have camped at many different campgrounds over a 20 year military career. This is by far the worst. Most of the workers couldn't care less about the campers. This could be a great campground with a change in the staff. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a great time with friends at this park. It is a very big park but not very crowded at all during the four nights we stayed. From the folks at the office to the guys who helped us park, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. For $3 more per night, we had wonderful premium sites with concrete pads on the lake. These sites allow you to back in almost parallel to the lake, so the water was no more than 10 feet outside our door. We loved these sites. The only drawback came the final day when fishermen (I don't know if they were campers or not) walked between our camper and the water, right past our door on their way around the lake. I don't think there are many campers dumb and ill-mannered enough to do such a thing, so I'm assuming these people had day passes. Nonetheless, we loved the sites and would definitely go back. The campground is very close to the Casino and other Indian attractions. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.
