5 Parks near Concord, North Carolina
May 2014 - $30.00
We were just passing thru and hubby wanted to tour the Nascar areas, so we picked this campground for 1 night. It was very clean and quiet and everyone was friendly. It is a no-frills campground tailored for the race crowds.Very close to the racetrack and Concord Mills. - WyldeRaven
Apr 2014 - $20.00
Rate reflects weekly fee, which included electric. Owner does not accept credit cards. Cash or check only. Finding the entrance is difficult and after entering there is a very difficult right turn to get to the office. Be careful of low hanging tree limbs. The park is divided between camper sites and mobile homes on permanent sites. Mostly grass sites but there are a few paved 30amp sites. Utilities are suspect because of age and amateur installations. Fresh water bib is buried in ground and sewer connections are too close to the fresh water connection. Be sure to disinfect the fresh water connection. Sites are not very level and the surfaces are not hard so blocks under the leveling jacks are a must, particularly if it has just rained. The noise from the speedway can be annoying. Good restaurants close by and the best Walmart and Lowe's hardware store we have found anywhere. Make a reservation at the Speedway Club for lunch, absolutely fabulous and very very reasonable. The tour of the Speedway and the NASCAR Museum are excellent even if you are not a NASCAR affection ado. After you are shown your site, that is the last you will have any assistance from the owners. Unless you need to be near the Charlotte Speedway a different location may be more suitable. We may return but I would request a site on the hill near the entrance. - Boat Defender
Nov 2013 - $30.00

Feb 2015 - $30.00
This is a great secluded RV Park across from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Good size sites and the owner will go out of his way to help you. - Dan Kleine
Oct 2014 - $40.00
This place is a joke. they tell you on the phone they can accommodate big rigs but once you get there it's not even close to being adequate. And you WILL scratch your paint up if you drive down any of the three access roads and there is no place to turn around. The owner is rude, argumentative and confrontational. The place is more of a run down permanent trailer park with a few slots for smaller campers. - User1031
May 2015 - $30.00
We stayed 1 night while traveling through.
The park has easy access off I-85 but the entrance is not well marked. GPS device missed the entrance. Sent us well past the entrance. The area is well developed so there could be A LOT of traffic.
The campground was built on a slope so there are only a hand full of sites that are close to being level. The vast majority of the sites have a 2 directional slope making it difficult to get level.
The interior roads are paved but the traffic flow is difficult - mostly one way and the alignment of the sites to the road. The sites are stone. They are pretty wide and long if being used as a P/Ts. It seems during race week, the P/Ts might be used as back-ins. The utility connections are about midway along the side of the sites when using the sites as P/Ts. Due to the slope of the sites, sewer might have to run up hill. Not much privacy if the CG is full.
The restrooms/shower building was a long way from the CG.
Only one dumpster centrally located. No garbage collection at sites but that didn't stop people from leaving bags of garbage along the roads.
There are very few trees in the park so there isn't much to interfere with satellite reception.
Park map claimed there were 6 broadcast channels. However were able to receive more than 6.
Park's WiFi service was slow. It was difficult to use email. Our Verizon Hotspot was better. Our NET10 cell phone had no reception.
No designated pet area but there was sufficient space to walk dogs along the CG's roads. There were no bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste or collection cans to dispose of waste. Rules prohibited use of pens but that didn't stop people from setting up large pens around their RV's.
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter.
Would not stay here again. - bsb814

Jul 2015 - $25.00
Camped in a 45 foot motor home with tow car. Called ahead and given better directions to park entrance. Met at park entrance and led to our site by very friendly owner. He hooked up to utilities for us. We parked in the transient area, which is a large grass field. We only needed to stay one night. - eaglessoc
Apr 2014 - $50.00
Nightly there were drag races occurring across the road at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Pros: directly across the road from the Charlotte Motor Speedway, very friendly and helpful ownership. Cons: the slightly inclined grass sites would probably not be a good thing if it was wet or raining and the strangest hookups I have ever seen. Below ground (in a box) and at the very back of the sites. The sewer and water connections were just inches apart. If the sewer somehow wasn't connected properly and overflowed, it would flow on top of the water outlet. I can't imagine how this setup ever passed code. I needed 25 feet of sewer hose to barely reach the sewer connection. There is no WiFi and no recycling. Despite the cons, we would definitely consider staying here again for a couple of days if we wanted to attend an event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. - Byron Bailey
Feb 2013 - $20.00
This was an excellent spot for a short stay. We were met as we arrived and shown to a close pull-through site. The person who met us was friendly and helpful. The roads are paved and our site was grass. There is road noise from a major intersection near the park and vehicles entering and leaving the park. The location is convenient for shopping, restaurants, etc. We will stay here again when in the area. - RVKevi
Mar 2012 - $25.00
Stayed here for a month while starting a new job in the area. Great location to CMS, Concord Mills shopping and many restaurants. This is a basic park, but well kept, neat, clean well run facility. Owner is on site and will do most anything to help you out. I will stay with them any time I'm back in the area. Paid a monthly rate with metered electric service. Excellent value! - Cosmopack
Jul 2011 - $30.00
Bare bones basic with a free Wi-Fi as a bonus. In comparison to some of the other parks in the area, this is a nice one. Super close spaces, but the owner will help guide you into your spot. Simple and less than half a mile from Charlotte Motor Speedway. - corinnelogan
