This park used to be a KOA & is next to the interstate. The electric seemed OK, but the water was full of brown sediment, so be sure to use a filter. The sites are not properly graded so getting level is a challenge, but we asked to move to a site farther from the interstate and we were allowed to do so. Caps were missing from the sewer lines. The location near Greensboro was good for us and the park filled up each night, but this park really needs some extra TLC. There is no cable and the WIFI was out for part of our visit. Several stalls in the ladies room were permanently locked. There are several very long pull-throughs. The price is not a good value for what is offered. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Travel Trailer.
Tips for other Campers:
The park has propane if you need to fill your tanks.
This park is a former KOA. The staff was friendly. We just stayed over night and did not use the facilities. The sites were gravel and not much grass. It was not bad for just staying one night. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
We were heading to another park and were very disappointed so we had to find something in the Greensboro area. We chose this park based on the reviews. We figured it would be okay for a night or two.
We used gps to get to the park and had no trouble finding it. If you are coming from the west on I-40 you pass the park, which is right off the highway, and come back to it. It could be hard to find at night but gps worked well to arrive safely.
The office check in process was smooth and the owner or manager was very cordial and escorts to sites. If you are unhappy with your site she works at trying to find one that will work for your situation. The office is open 11a-7p M-S and 12p-6- on Sunday so they are there to assist as people arrive.
Sites are gravel, some treed, some not and if you have leveling blocks you will have no trouble getting setup. If you are expecting a flat & level site then do not stop here. With the proper equipment there is no problem here. The major concern for us being level in the electric/propane fridge. If they are even a few degrees out of level you can slowly damage the cooling unit. Over time that will shorten its life.
Services are fine given the park is an old KOA, but we had no issues on our site. Some sites are close. We had no trouble navigating around the park. They have an open area on the south side of the park that would work well for 40'+ RV's and 5th wheels.
We would stop by here again if in the area. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
The park is near I-40 so it has easy access but some of the turns are sharp, the road narrow and the entrance hidden at the end of the road.
The campground appears to be a former KOA. It is showing its' age. It was built on hills so there might be a hand full of sites that are close to being level. The vast majority of the sites have a 2 directional slope making it difficult to get level.
The interior roads and sites are gravel and narrow. The utility connections are about midway along the side of the sites. Due to the slope of the sites, sewer might have to run up hill. Not much privacy as the sites are VERY close to each other.
Only one dumpster located at the CG's entrance.
There is an extensive tree canopy so satellite reception is impacted. There are a few sites that are open to the South for reception.
There were a few broadcast channels but didn't get the 4 major networks.
Park's WiFi service was non-existent. Only saw the connections occasionally and couldn't get connected. Our Verizon Hotspot was better.
No designated pet area but there was sufficient space to walk dogs along the CG's roads. There were no bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste or collection cans to dispose of waste.
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. The office & restroom buildings were identified as a severe weather shelter.
Would not stay here again. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $35.00
We stayed here 1 nite. Staff was very nice at check in and showing us to our site. It was a former KOA. Could use a little more TLC like spreading more gravel on campsites as you turn out you hit mud. Grounds are very nice. Site was somewhat level not a big problem as we are learning to how to level up too! Good space between rigs. Freeway noise not to bad for sleeping but you do hear it. No cable, but over the air works great. Lots of channels available. Verizon and MiFi work good. We would stay here again. Price reflect GS discount. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed there and enjoyed the stay. Place had just rewired several sites earlier in the year. We ended up on one of those sites and you could not ask for better. The office staff led us to the site and made sure everything was OK before they left. A little later someone came by and asked if we needed any assistance. Very pleasant office personnel. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Travel Trailer.

I would give this campground higher marks if they had level sites. They need to work to get their sites a little bit level. Most coaches had their tires off the ground, and to keep ours on the ground, I had to walk up hill a tad in my coach. There is some freeway noise, and in some spots, it is excessive, but they do have large trees as a barrier. The staff is nice and friendly, and it is a convenient campground to the city of Greensboro, but they need work on their sites. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
Nice little campground. Former KOA. VERY friendly staff! Lots of complaints about unlevel spots but, I was in spot 20 and was level literally on the first pull in. A tad pricey for single night stay. Major downfall would be location. It is literally right next to the highway. LOTS of road noise. Good pool, good laundry facility. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $35.00
This campground is convenient from the highway but has significant traffic noise. No cable hookup, must have an antenna or satellite for TV. The last time were were there, we were parked in a very muddy site and had to ask to move to another site. The big pull-throughs for larger rigs a not level. Probably will not stay here again. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $36.00
We have stayed in this park a number of times when visiting the Greensboro area, namely because it is the only park in the area. When you pull in it looks like a very pleasant park. They have shaded sites and open sites. Since we have satellite, we choose an open site. However, I do not understand why they did not pay attention to making the sites level. I do not like to have my wheels off the ground, so I was not able to completely level our motorhome. It was not that objectionable, but it seems that with a little bulldozing work they could level the sites. The motorhome next to us had their wheels at least 6" off the ground. They do have free WI-FI, which was fairly fast. There was a strong AT&T signal. The pool was small, but was clean and well kept. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $36.00
This campground needs a facelift since it looks a bit tired. The sites are very unlevel and I could not get the coach quite level in our site. Many of our neighbors had their wheels off the ground. There was also a lot of highway noise since the campground sits right along the side of the freeway. It is convenient to Greensboro though. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $36.00
This campground is pretty much as advertised, however, the negative is that their pull through sites are far from being level. I could not level our motorhome, and finally gave up as to get anywhere near level the jacks were lifting the front wheels off the ground. Stopped trying to level, and sat it back on the front wheels and left it there, sitting on one heck of a angle forward end down. The camp is easy to get to, but down a very narrow paved road. Bathroom and showers very clean, even complimented the staff on there condition. The swimming pool isn't large enough to swim in, but is clean and well kept. An older park, good for an over night stop . . . I suppose. The non-pull through sites appear to be level, and there is room to park you car. Recommend that even planning to spend just one night, that you unhook the toad, and park in a site that is level. Rate shown reflect Good Sam discount. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
Stayed O/N en route from SC to VA via I-85. (Only campground in the area that is close to the freeway.) Sites are tight, but decent enough for an O/N stay, although the coach next to us was obviously set up for a long stay. We were unable to get level with our onboard leveling system. Tried two sites, and decided to just put the front tires on blocks and leave it at that. Free Wi-Fi available, but iffy in the upper section where we were located. This section is the farthest from the freeway and therefore quiet (no traffic noise could be heard inside the coach). Would stay here again if we are in the area and ready to get off the road for the day. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
This campground is right next to and level with the freeway. It is really really loud. That being said, there aren't many campgrounds in this area - so we stayed here. It was a decent place for one night. Some of the sites are much better than others. There are some larger and more level sites at the back. Some of the sites in the front and middle are not even close to level. We found a site that worked for us for the one night we were there. We didn't use the bathrooms, showers, or laundry. Management was friendly and helpful. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $36.00
Staff was friendly. Site was OK for the 2 nights we were there. Laundry was dirty and unkept. Washers & dryers were old. This area does not have a selection of campgrounds. Would probably schedule next trip so we would not have to stop here again. We camped at Greensboro Campground Inc in a Motorhome.
