Small rv park amid 40 acres of permanent residents. As a rule, that is all I would need to hear before looking elsewhere. However, this is a very clean, neat park. About a dozen asphalt pull-thru sites for transients with many permanently parked rvs and manufactured homes surrounding. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Connections are unusual in that two rigs occupy the same site back to back but sites are long enough that we were at opposite ends withour neighbors w/o interfering with each other. Will be back. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a retirement village with 12 pull through spots for short term RV use. The park is very clean, quiet and well maintained. It has some scenic views of the surrounding countryside and a large grassy dog walking area. The entry exit road is somewhat tight due to a median, but very doable. The overall impression of the park probably depends on the size of your rig, length of stay and how busy the RV section is during your stay.

We were in a 40 foot 5th wheel and were parked next to another unit of equal size. Two units share one pad and are placed side-by-side in opposite directions. There was essentially zero walking clearance between our unit and the unit to our left, as the utility pedestal blocked the way. There was no more than a couple of feet between our units with slides out. Our unit opened to a grass strip with approx. 12 feet between us and the other unit, but the doors of each unit face each other, greatly reducing privacy. There are small concrete patios for sites that face the grass.

If you stay a day or two, the lack of space would probably not be an issue. Had the spaces been designed differently, the spaces could be more private. Also, smaller rigs will probably find the spaces less confining. If the spaces were not so tight we could have gone with a five star rating. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close proximity to Hendersonville, Asheville (about 20 miles). Some wonderful wineries, breweries and shopping nearby. Access to numerous biking and hiking trails within a 20 mile radius. Watch for the entry, the park sign is right at the entry and gps may not correctly identify the turn.

Overall Rating:

The entrance looks a little small at first but we had plenty of room to get in and out between the two stone pillars. Our pull through site was narrow but very long giving us amply room for our 40 foot motorhome, and Ford F-150 pick-up truck AND our Harley Trike with room left over. The power, water pressure and sewer worked great. We would stay here again if in the area. Park is very well maintained. We didn't spend a lot of time in the park since we were there to ride our Trike on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We were here for one night - on our way to Myrtle Beach. The park grounds are very clean. There are 6 spaces for short term, the park is mainly long term over 55. Cash or check only. They do take reservations & are located not far off I-26 East of Hendersonville. Be aware that it looks as though you are turning in to someone's driveway with stone pillars on either side of the drive. The overnite spaces are shared so when the person in the golf cart who leads you in to the space tells you to hug the grass on the one side there's a reason why. The site was level, easy hookups with good water pressure. The park felt very secure. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night on the way back from vacation in FL. Our tow car had quit and we were had to leave it attached to the RV. Marelyn fixed us up with the last pull through they had. There are 12 pull through spots for short stays. Full hook ups of 30/50 amps RV's to include cable. This camp ground is only open from April to October. We drive a Class A, 38ft and didn't have any problems getting in or out. They do not take credit cards. They are located about two miles from the interstate and very quite at night. This is our second stop here and would stay again. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.

55+ mobile home park with a dozen site in the middle. The sites are long, narrow, paved, and level (pull-through). Excellent, friendly management, very clean restrooms/showers, and great Wi-Fi. Nice central location for seeing things in the area but a very quiet park. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night on our way back from vacation. We made the reservations via telephone. They were very friendly, the park is very clean. We met several residents while we were walking our dogs. Everyone was friendly. We parked on a very long lot with full services. This park is off the interstate and very quiet. It is an adult mobile home park that has about 12 spots for travelers passing through. We would stay here again should we be in the area. We were in a 38 ft rig towing a car. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Pleasant park with very long cement pads for overnight visitors. Friendly and helpful staff. Free and strong Wi-Fi. Nice location to tour the area. Travelers shouldn't miss seeing the Biltmore House & Gardens in Asheville. We enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.

The last review is spot on. I would only add that the sites are very, very narrow: two rigs share the same asphalt site, but parked going opposite ways. Convenient to town and has all you need as far as stores, etc. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We made reservations at this park on the recommendation of friends who live in the area. It is an over-55 park with many seasonal residents who are friendly and welcoming. The lots and grounds are well-maintained as are all park models and travel rigs. There is even a local farmer who brings fresh produce to a stand at the back of the park; weigh your own and pay on the honor system. This is Apple Valley and apple orchards, vineyards and wineries are plentiful. The park offers beautiful views of the surrounding area--mountains, orchards, berry fields, etc.--and has easy access to many nearby attractions. The rate posted reflects our monthly rate as we plan to stay here until closing at the end of October. Owners/Managers are delightful, accommodating and helpful. We will definitely visit the park again. We camped at Jaymar Travel Park in a Motorhome.
