Very long, but medium wide, pull through and back-in gravel/grass spaces with no privacy. Interior roads are paved and gravel. The sites are level, except when it rains the weight of RV's can cause depressions in some spaces, without sufficient gravel, that require a leveling device. The park is very well maintained and clean. The adjacent highway is well traveled and noisy, so the best spaces are as far away from it as possible. The bath facilities are old and deteriorating and need updating, but relatively clean. The staff is friendly. Lots of dog walking areas, good utilities, wifi is very good. We did not use the cable or sewer. This is a comfortable, but no frills park. We would stay again. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I've been here 2 years now. Seen a lot. The location is great for going to near by beaches. The campground is right by the highway, so noise may be an issue. There is no golf course nor a putt putt range as mentioned in web site. Grounds maintenance is kept up well, but not for the individual lots itself. Some lots have wood patios but they are rotted out. Long- termers have done the repairs at their expense. No gravel for camper pad nor for auto, it's all dirt and mud. If you want individualized needs, complaints, or accommodations, you will get resistance from the office. Services are at its worst during the winter months. There is no camp host on duty after hours. Speed limit and pet policies are not reinforced when it comes to dogs. All in all, my monthly rate is affordable for my budget and that's why I stay, its gets much more expensive at other campgrounds in the areas. No shade and mosquitos are very bad. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely park. We have a big rig and there are large pull through sites with plenty of room. The grounds are clean and well kept. The restrooms and showers are spotless. The park has many tall trees, cabins, and the roads are paved. There is free wi-fi and cable available, but our cable didn't work. 50 amp was available, but it would not work at our site. The biggest asset to this park is the very nice staff. They are polite and very helpful. We stayed here for a week while we visited family and we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

The campground is right on the highway and the noise wasn't too bad over the weekend yet come Monday morning at 5:00 a.m. the noise was evident! We've never heard motorcycles as loud as the ones around here! In addition the campground is near military camps and we did hear what we thought to be ordnance testing as well as low flying helicopters. Our site was level on grass. The directions on the campground website are slightly misleading - going north on I 17 coming from the south you have to u-turn to get to the campground that is on the south side of I 17 [when I first read it I thought it was saying the opposite]. It is easy to get to beaches from here and there are plenty of shopping and food places nearby. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Our 'neighbors' [who are full-timers here] used our patio table and outdoor space as their backyard [specifically said by the neighbor] including tethering their dog who dug holes next to our patio table, therefore would not recommend staying in site 16 if you would like some privacy.

Long, easy to access pull-thru sites with lots of grass and no mud. Sites are level, hookups are where they are supposed to be and the park was quite clean and certainly well maintained. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Description on website and what we actually got was night and day! We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming woman. The campground is right off Rte 17 and is easy in and out. It is about 8 miles to Camp Lejeune. We came here to visit with my 7 year old granddaughter whose dad is stationed here. From the website, we were told it had mini golf, playground, and driving range, along with a pro shop, and batting cages. I never saw that there was no pool! I have never been to a resort that doesn't have one, so that was MY mistake. The campground was clean and well groomed, but the sites were much more unlevel then they looked. We could not get the RV level despite moving the it twice. Very little shade. Good Wi-Fi and cable reception. Sites are spacious. So, we take our granddaughter to the "playground". It consisted of ONE rusty, dirty hand-over-hand monkey bars. The "mini golf" area was a mess--looked like it hadn't been used in years- overgrown grass and weeds. The "pro shop" was a dilapidated building and closed. There were indeed batting cages and a driving range, but since the "pro shop" was closed, there was no way to use them. Many sites were empty and the ones that were occupied looked like the lived there. I never used the laundry facility. This is the type of campground to use only if you needed a quick stopover for a night or two. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Really happy here. CG is very well maintained and looks very nice. Staff could not be better. Sites are a little close but no more than most KOA's. Very convenient to Jacksonville and Lejeune. Lot's of grassed areas to walk dogs away from others. Very quiet even though US 17 is right out front. WiFi was very good. They have cable but we did not use it. Some treed sites...many open sites.

One gripe (and it happens in many CG's it seems): it is, maybe 1/3rd occupied yet they parked 3 of us right next to each other. Awnings almost touching. They could have at least left 1 site between each. They could have left 4 sites between each and had space to spare. Luckily, neighbors on both sides were great.

Great cg! We'll be back many times. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park, conveniently located near MCAS New River and Camp LeJeune. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Easy ingress and egress. Sites I have used have needed a bit of leveling. No mature trees in transient area. Nice laundry facility on-site. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for a couple of nights to see the outer banks area. The park has easy access off US-17 but the entrance sneaks up on you. US-17 is a divided highway so access is only available South bound. North bound access is available from Dawson Cabin Rd. It is directly across from the Marine Corp New River Air Station – Camp Johnson & Camp Geiger . But there wasn’t much air traffic during our stay. The park is on a former mobile home park so the sites are unique. The interior road is sand/gravel. The sites are grass & sand. They are pretty wide and long but the “premium” sites (the only pull throughs) are not level. There is a slight slope depending on where you park on the site. There is a mixture of full hook ups – water, electricity (either 50 or 30 AMP), & sewer connections. The utility connections are about midway along the side of the sites. Privacy between the sites is based upon the distance between the sites. There are very few trees in the park but the park has an area of trees toward the SW. The trees didn’t interfere with satellite reception. WiFi reception was good. There seem to be some long term residents but they were in another area. The designated pet area was a small area along the road and back edge of the park but it was not fenced. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park roads. There were no bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste. There were some garbage collection stations around the park. For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter. We didn’t use the restrooms/showers but did use the laundry room. The laundry room fit the need. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here because it was close to Camp Lejuene. We went with friends who were visiting their Grandson. It was an OK place, very tiny store, not much available. Sites were tight. Looked like most of the people live here and weren't on a camping trip. All in all not a bad place, just different then most of the places we go. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was a rather non-descript park with some permanents as well as nightly spots along with a very funky tent area. The tent area is the only area that has trees. The sites were rather close together but easy to get into and out of. While staying here we were infested with tiny ants! We did laundry in their facilities which were clean and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful, going so far as to forward a box of mail that did not arrive prior to our departure. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here only one night. Gravel site was saturated from recent rains. Staff was great, meeting us at 8PM and escorting us to our site when we arrive late. Limited bathrooms were clean and off the common laundry. If the Marines are operating aircraft, it can be a bit noisy. This is not a military-only campground. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.
